What were the circumstances that caused you to look for a mortgage adviser? We needed to raise some money to be able to buy a house. My parents wanted to help us by releasing some equity from their house. How has Stuart Powell helped you? My parents were very apprehensive about equity release. Stuart came out to see my parents and ourselves at their house. He was very friendly, open and honest about the pros and cons of releasing equity. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience and was able to put all our minds at ease. We felt that he could answer all of our questions at the time as well as many on the phone thereafter. Stuart has always been very approachable and friendly and we would definitely recommend him to anyone wanting financial advice. Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for? Absolutely! We couldn't be happier. What could they have done better? I honestly don't think that there are any suggestions that we could make to improve the service that we had from Stuart.

We dealt with Stuart Powell on a number of issues regarding the purchase of a property using a Lifetime Mortgage (Equity Release). My wife and I have had a lifetime mortgage for a number of years at a very high interest rate and had been looking for some time for a provider with a more competitive rate but to no avail. I highly recommend Ocean Mortgages and Equity Release Ltd especially if you are looking to remortgage at a lower interest rate. We secured an Equity release some years ago from a major provider (at what proved to be a very high rate of interest). Seeing how much lower the interest rates had become and how property values had soared, we approached our provider with a view to obtaining a new ER at a lower interest rate and also a possible further release of equity. Surprisingly, our current providers were not very helpful, suggesting that they could not assist us further! Recalling a newspaper article on Ocean Equity Release a few months ago we decided to contact Stuart to see what advice he could offer. Stuart was very friendly, approachable and professional at all times, quickly understood our needs and provided a number of options to chose from which matched or surpassed our requirements.
