I found Rob at Independent UK Mortgages from a search on Google for a local broker, and from reading the positive reviews decided to give him a try. All I can say is I’m so glad I did. My case is very complex on a number of fronts and Rob has worked through each point with me to help me try and buy my first house. I’m now have an excellent decision in principle in place and have had an offer accepted to buy my first home. Rob is also co-ordinating the solicitors for me, as well as providing a range of quotes for important insurance products, such as life insurance and critical illness cover. The icing on the cake for me is that Rob pro-actively calls me to give me very regular updates, which has allowed me to continue with my work and personal life without chasing or stressing. So I just had to leave a comment about the absolute DIAMOND that is Rob Jones. My Partner and I were in the process of buying our first home in November 2021. After many setbacks, we were convinced we were unable to get a mortgage at the time. UNTIL my mum rang me at 10pm one night whilst I was in floods of tears explaining I was about to get a call from someone who could help. This person was Rob. Within minutes of speaking, I was calm and began to believe we could do this. From that moment on, our adventure started. After countless calls and emails, within one week, Rob had all of our data/information and with his amazing team, they started our process. Within two weeks, we had a mortgage offer! I bought my first house at the start of 2017 and I knew basically nothing when it came time to starting to apply for a mortgage and start looking for a property! I had a few calls with Rob, and he spent a lot of time going over with everything with me so that I had the understanding that I needed in order to feel comfortable going through the process. I met with him a few times to go over the finer details and provide documentation, and at the end of and interaction we had, Rob ensured that I had a clear understanding of what I needed to do and time scales involved. Thanks to the way Rob managed everything, I experienced zero stress when buying my house unlike a lot of people that I know who chose to do it themselves. Rob has recently helped me remortgage my property, and again things couldn't have gone smoother. I barely lifted a finger, and within a week Rob had completed a product switch that has benefitted more than I could have expected. By putting me on a 5 year fixed term, Rob has potentially lost out on a fee I would have paid having used him again in 2 years, but his focus is not making money but actually helping people. I can't say enough about Rob to be honest. He made what should be a stressful process in life quite simple and straight forward. He is a lovely guy who wants to do nothing but help his clients, and the fee he charges is minimal for the level of work he puts in so you as a buyer don't have to!
