I spoke to Julie Taylor - probably the most honest mortgage broker I have ever come across. I had wondered whether it was worth switching my buy-to-let mortgage to another product before interest rates rise. The answer was Yes - but only just. After fees, redemption charges and what-not, it was a highly marginal decision. So I said I wouldn't proceed. Many bonus-driven brokers would have pushed me to go ahead anyway. Julie thought I was right, however, and so no action was taken. Excellent call, however.
