Julian was very helpful in helping me choose the right flooring, providing lots of different samples and explanations for each one. I wanted to recarpet the living areas in my flat and lay vinyl in the kitchen, bathroom and toilet over the existing tiling (for added insulation). I wanted to add a layer of Ecotherm throughout for additional insulation. I also wanted to get rid of my old, moth-eaten carpeting. Julian discussed the brief in great detail, and inspected my flat minutely. He checked the compatibility of the insulation that I had proposed (Ecotherm) with the carpeting. He and his workers proceeded seemlessly and in well-organised phases. They dealt with the identified problems of levelling the carpetting with the vinyl overlay. They diagnosed an unexpected problem (a water leak from an adjacent flat) and helped to work around it at marginal extra cost. Their after-sales service has been excellent. Julian has lived up to his motto of "Service, service, service" and his team of carpeters, vinyl layers and door-cutters have supported him throughout and have been a delight to deal with. Thanks to them, my flat has been far more comfortable this winter than last, and it also looks infinitely better. Others would not have spotted the problem with levelling the carpetting and the vinyl overlay, would not have dealt with the unexpected problem of the leak from next door, and would not have removed my old, moth-eaten carpetting.

I first used Julian Hurst Interiors for a fitted carpet in a small box room. Although the job was very small, Julian impressed me by spending time showing me all suitable carpets and explaining their properties. He even tracked down an option with a narrow width to save wastage and therefore money for me. Needless to say the job was completed to perfection. I then decided to use JHI again when I recently had a new luxury vinyl kitchen floor fitted. Julian's knowledge of floor coverings is immense, and the range of products is almost overwhelming. He was happy to let me take home quite a few large samples and was very flexible about my returning them. Julian provided an all inclusive quotation and came out in person to double check the measurements and floor level. The flooring was fitted very efficiently and looks great! Julian is great to do business with, very knowledgeable about his products, and very friendly and courteous. The shop is lovely to browse around too, well worth a look in! He only stocks good quality products but manages to offer very good value. I would highly recommend Julian Hurst Interiors to anyone.

We had a particular problem in our entrance lobby in that we needed fitted matting that looked good and would not irritate the skin of our Labrador who stations herself there for much of the day. Amazing Service! I hunted around for a month trying to find the best super king size bed and was struggling, until I went and saw Julian Hurst. He guided me through all the different types of mattresses and bed styles until I found the perfect one for comfort and decor of my bedroom. We went to the Retail Park to the big carpet store and ended up getting frustrated because of all the added extras you had to pay on the 50% off carpet deal. Couldn't understand why they we had to pay a delivery charge when they were going to fit the carpet and had to pay the fitter directly. Did not like this!!! Flooring for children's day nursery My client needed a Flooring that's soft, hardwearing, easy to clean, stain resistant, bright and cheerful and god knows what else. After a good 3 months of research; we were recommend to Jullian - Eureka - Jullian suggested a flooring, and next day a colour was confirmed. The job was spot on. The job was so well done, and done by experienced and professional staff. No hassles, no tears or creases anywhere. It has been a good few years and still good as new. Children play, run, do painting and water play - no problem. However the flooring was good, it was the way it was laid - tight fit, least number of seamless joint and superb finishing made the difference. Since then we have always recommended Jullian for all our clients and were never let down be it a Hallway or a whole house.
