I wanted something very specific for my daughters 21st birthday, a replica in gold of what my own mom gave to me many years ago in silver & being from Birmingham it just had to come from the Jewellery Quarter. After a little research I contacted Samson Jewellers & decided they were the jewellers for me. Everything was organised via email and phone as I no longer live in Birmingham and trips back & forth just weren’t feasible. Sarah has been the most delightful, patient, conscientious, helpful, understanding and just “smiley” person I’ve ever dealt with over the phone and email, understanding all of my whims…she just took them all in her stride…I honestly cannot thank her enough. Samson Jewellers are fantastic craftsmen and women and I would use them again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much for making my daughters stunning, timeless piece, hopefully it will be passed down the generations like mine was and will continue to be. Sarah

Sold some jewellery here and had a ring re- sized. Staff really helpful and offered a great service. Even more interesting was that I discovered it was the same place that in the early 1900s was know as Wright & Hadgkiss where our family was the Hadgkiss part of the business and my Grandad worked.

Sarah was very polite, helpful and knowledgeable. I didn't have a clue how to buy a diamond engagement ring but having met Sarah I feel much more confident. Quite a few other jewellers were staffed by very pompous people. I really hope my son buys his rings from Samson Gold

Samson Gold made my engagement and wedding rings and I cannot thank them enough. When I first went ring shopping I visited multiple stores and when I walked into Samson Gold, immediately I could feel the vibe was different. They were friendly, calm and welcoming, they didn't go for the hard sell, they were so accommodating to what I wanted and were more than happy to custom make my ideal design and they didn't keep pushing me to change my mind or go for something more expensive. Tom then went on to design and make my engagement ring and the process was fantastic. I first received 3D realistic images of what the ring would look like and this could be tweaked to get the design perfect. Then they made a wax model of the ring so I could get a feel for what it would look like in real life. Then came the real thing and it was so gorgeous! So I went back to get my wedding ring made by Sean who ensured it matched my engagement ring perfectly. Throughout the whole process they were all always friendly, accommodating and so helpful all down to the little details and touches. I would HIGHLY recommend Samson Gold to anyone. Thank you so much for my amazing rings!!

After loosing our beloved dog of twelve and a half years I wanted to put his ashes into a locket. We were recommended Samson Gold by a friend and they did not disappoint. Designs were emailed to them of ideas I liked and from them they came up with the most exquisite design. When we went to see the design made it was so emotional as it was beyond our dreams of how beautiful it was. A video was then taken of Alfie’s ashes being put into the locket, which has meant so much to me and my husband. We went to collect the completed piece and there are no words to describe how I felt when it was put around my neck. There aren’t enough words to praise the amazing team at Samson Gold, they showed so much empathy and compassion. The wonderful Sarah went above and beyond with every request made to make sure we were completely satisfied with the finished result. So many people have complimented my necklace and I can’t recommend them highly enough. It’s something I’ll always wear and cherish forever. Thank you all the team at Samson Gold.

I cannot speak highly enough of the service I received here. I was nervous about trying to sort out an Engagement Ring as I was unfamiliar with what to know about prices, clarity, metals etc... I had experienced a few uncomfortable situations in other stores where it felt like the seller was deliberately using obscure terms to try and get me to purchase something pricey. The tone was completely different here though, I spoke with a lovely man called Tom and we had a brief discussion about design/ price range and so on. He did not try to barter me up at all, he made great recommendations on the types of diamonds and metals to use, and walked me through the entire process in a straightforward and transparent manner. We agreed to proceed and over the course of the next couple of months he designed me a completely bespoke ring for my partner, he was tremendous at keeping me in the loop every step of the way and very receptive of any alterations or wishes I had. The result was exactly what I had wished for, perfect across the board.

This establishment is the best place to shop in the jewellery quarter. They are so helpful and they will go the extra mile just to meet your requirements. They only sell selected beautiful items which they will alter for you if you wish. If you have design of your own they will make it for you advising you every step. Their prices are very reasonable in both buying and selling and they do a very good jewellery cleaning service. They have been in this area for several years and their reputation for being one of the best is well deserved. If your are thinking of buying any jewellery check this place out first you will be impressed!!

Fantastic products, brilliant service and reasonably priced - I cannot recommend Samson Gold highly enough. They created the perfect engagement ring for my partner, using the diamonds from her Grandmother's ring. The whole process was fantastic, they listened to my ideas and provided their own expertise (which should definitely be trusted if in any doubt!) and provided completely photorealistic CGI renders of the ring before producing anything, so I could see exactly what I'd get. However, the render did not do justice to the beauty and craftsmanship of the final product. My fiancé was beyond thrilled with the ring, and thought it better than anything she saw in shop windows before or since. The stones have been set in such a way as there is no light that they will not catch and sparkle in. There was brilliant communication throughout and I was never left in the dark as to what was happening, my thanks especially to Sean for all his help and advice. We are both really looking forward to going back to Samson Gold to have the wedding bands created. Thank you so much to all the staff from myself and Charlotte.

Fantastic jeweller. We had our engagement and wedding rings from you and go back every year to get them polished up. Then we had a bespoke eternity ring made out of stones from another ring. Nothing is too much trouble the staff are so accommodating. This is why we won’t go anywhere else for jewellery.

After deciding to get wedding rings made in the jewellery quarter, my fiance (as she was) went into Samson Gold just to get some ideas and were incredibly pleased with the service and quotes we had from them for a wedding ring each. There was no high pressure selling, just excellent service. We went away, did some thinking and cane back with a drawing my fiance had done for what she wanted and a simple description for mine. After a brief conversation about what we wanted and discussion of our design, Tom seemed genuinely excited to make the wedding rings. We recieved fantastic quality CAD images promptly and went ahead. When we finally saw the ring they were perfect. The fiances fitted just as we hoped with her engagement ring so they looked like a set, but would also work on it's own. I cant fault mine either, although it is much simpler. Tom offered to clean the engagement and wedding rings a few days before the ceremony as well. I also used Samson gold to make the wedding present for my fiance, I took in my very bad drawing of a bangle to compliment the wedding ring. Sarah helped finalise the design. After they had sent the CAD to me, i changed my mind, quite late, and asked if it could be a instead and they were happy to change the design very late on. The finished bracelet was beyond perfect. The after service is great as well. Tom said they will refinish the rings once a year for us and resize as needed with no extra charge. I could not fault Samson Gold if I tried.

I recently took a very precious engagement ring in to have the stone put back in. The family member was very upset and worried but I assured her it would he safe and took it in to Samson gold. They did a 5* job of 're setting the stone and it looked beautiful when it was returned to me a few days later. I took it back to the very close family member the next day and gave it back. To say that she was delighted was an understatement, she cried tears of pure relief and happiness. Sean was the member of staff I dealt with. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for what you did. Family owned business with extremely friendly and helpful staff. We bought both wedding bands here almost a year before our wedding (we wanted to be organised). My band needed to be resized a year on (I blame the pre-wedding diet) and they took the ring down half a size with no quibbles. I left the band with them and it was done within a few days. They don't charge for resizing, all part of the service. I've already recommended them to friends and will continue to do so.
