Had such a great time meeting the owners and makers of all the beautiful jewelry and hearing how it got started. Everything was absolutely beautiful and I understand why its expensive especially when you see the hard work and time it takes to do it.

My family and I were able to visit the Duncan House and see their impressive celtic jewelry. We loved meeting the family and their dogs. (made me want a scottish deerhound lol) If your in the market to get a true handmade piece, wedding rings or even an heirloom-to-be, this is a great place to start. The pieces are not in-expensive, but it should be expected from handmade craftsmanship that is hard to find anymore.

I researched my choice of wedding ring for a long time before coming across Duncan House. The service and advice from Garth was great and after a bit of thought I decided to order a ring. I work with my hands and needed something resilient so went for the 9kt gold. It came after a few weeks and its actually incredible. So intricate and great quality. Couldn't recommend enough.

What an amazing place, what a meaningful encounter. Would have paid even 200gbp instead of 150gbp for that marvellous piece of work. (Translated) Eight years ago we passed by chance and, struck by the beauty of the jewels on display, a few months later we bought a necklace and sent it to Milan. We went back to Skye and found the place. Not much has changed since then. We made our daughter choose a necklace and she wanted the same one that we bought many years ago, when she wasn't even born. It is a place off the beaten tourist track. A structure reachable only through a narrow lane with a single lane. One of those less traveled corners of Skye and for this reason infinitely more fascinating than the must-sees that can be visited during the day through organized tours. Forget the Fairy Pools, Neist Point and other tourist traps. Go to Elgol, go to Duncan's atelier, be seduced by his works and the beauty of the surroundings, go into the wild hinterland and walk on the lesser known cliffs. Only then will you never forget Skye. (Original) Otto anni fa vi passammo casualmente e, colpiti dalla bellezza dei gioielli esposti, qualche mese dopo acquistammo una collana e ce la facemmo spedire a Milano. Siamo tornati a Skye e abbiamo ritrovato il posto. Non molto è cambiato da allora. Abbiamo fatto scegliere a nostra figlia un monile e ha voluto lo stesso che acquistammo tanti anni fa, quando neppure era nata. È un posto fuori dai percorsi turistici più battutti. Una struttura raggiungibile solo attraverso una stretta stradina a corsia unica. Uno di quegli angoli di Skye meno battuti e proprio per questo infinitamente piú affascinanti dei must visitabili in giornata attraverso i tour organizzati. Lasciate stare le Fairy Pools, Neist Point e le altre trappole per turisti. Andate a Elgol, passate nell'atelier di Duncan, fatevi sedurre daĺle sue opere e dalla bellezza dei dintorni, addentratevi nell'entroterra selvaggio e camminate sulle scogliere meno conosciute. Solo così non scorderete mai Skye.

Feiner Laden mit schöner Auswahl (auch Eheringe möglich), abseits der ganzen Souvenirshops mit ihrem Billigschmuck. Abseits ist allerdings auch der Laden selbst, wer dahin möchte, fährt tief in die Pampa. Die Preise sind natürlich auf entsprechender Juwelier-Ebene, die einfachen Stücke aus Silber mit Amethysten zum Beispiel starten bei 200 GBP aufwärts. Wer Gold haben möchte, sollte dementsprechend einen dickeren Geldbeutel mitbringen. (Translated) Fine shop with nice selection (also wedding rings possible), away from the whole souvenir shops with their cheap jewelry. Offside, however, is the store itself, who wants to go there, goes deep into the pampas. The prices are of course at the appropriate jeweler level, the simple pieces of silver with amethysts for example start at 200 GBP upwards. If you want to have gold, you should bring along a thicker wallet.
