I love coming here. First time I was here was over. 15 years ago to get a broach for my Highland dance nationals outfit. Now when ever I have visitors from the States we stop here for them to see how they are made and then pick up gifts for their loved ones. It has always been a hit for people. Ladies in the shop are always lovely.

Really interesting presentation on the making of gems. Workshops open to public view. Many gift ideas beautifully displayed. Absolutely no pressure to buy. Lovely staff. Access immediately from large public car park. No tearoom but plenty of cafes on the High Street.

It’s truly amazing what can be done with plant branches, the jewellery is made from dyed and compressed heather branches that are polished and cut to shape, there’s a viewing window to the workshop so visitors can see the process as it happens. There’s a varied selection of jewellery available at the shop as well as occasional gifts. The staff are friendly and helpful and leave you to browse through the shop without pushing for a sale. Parking isn’t free though, so you will need change for the parking machine.

Aye it's interesting. It is a small production store of jems fro.heather and I like how they educate you on the process. They are obviously very proud of it and you can follow the entire process from start to finish but it will take you longer to look round the shop than it would the factory. It's small but worth a visit especially since it opens at 9am and the distillaries don't open till 10am.

Excellent little Warehouse and factory Show you how it's all made. They have a video and you can watch the workers working the heather There is a big shop as well, I would say the prices are the same as most of the stores where they are sold. But the staff is really helpful and get you what you're looking for. Prices range from about £3 upwards and they have a huge variety here. I would definitely recommend checking out the process, it's interesting!

I was a bit cynical about whether the picture online would be a true representation of what the necklace would be like in reality - I was not disappointed, it really is beautiful and comes with a lovely little insert explaining the process of making the heathergem. Went on holiday to Scotland fell in love with Heathergems.There in most gift shops from Loch Ness to Pitlochry. Had to visit the place there made gorgeous gifts and spent a fair bit.Everyone I bought for loves them as much as me.There made from cut and dyed heather stalks so your taking a piece of Scotland back home with you.Every Heather gem is unique ,they come in an array of lovely vibrant colours .Expert craftsmanship makes this lovely jewel look so much more expensive than it costs.
