I done level 1 back at the start of the year and absolutely loved it! The staff in the studio are so friendly and professional in helping learn the skills to making amazing pieces of jewellery. I will definitely be booking in for level 2!!!

I recently attended a Make a Sea Glass Ring workshop at the Vanilla Ink Studios. I was a complete novice, having never handled silver before, however the tutors were amazing and so patient, and I was delighted to walk out of my class with a beautiful finished piece of jewellery. After attending that single workshop I have now successfully made my own peices of sea glass jewellery at home, with my most recent pieces being bridesmaid necklaces for a friend's wedding. Without the tuition at the studio I never would have had the skills or confidence to make my own jewellery. Highly recommend to anyone thinking about attending a workshop here.

This summer I attended the Level 2 Weekend at Vanilla Ink and I was absolutely blown away! From the moment I walked into the workshop I was greated by the friendliest and most kind hearted people who were so eager to share their knowlege. The weekend was so diverse and I got to try a range of skills I had never encountered before like water casting and enamelling, I went home with the biggest smile on my face. There is no better place to discover jewellery making than VI!

I've done a few classes at VI now, learning under Scott and Lorna. Fantastic courses, very comprehensive and such a great space to learn in. The tutors are all so knowledgable and friendly, they always provide an awesome learning atmosphere whilst makimg sure we all have lots of fun. If youre interested in learning some Jewellery making skills, I highly recommend VI, they can provide everything to get you started or to further your progress.

Just wow! Kate and Scott have set up such an amazing, inspiring and inviting place to learn in Thoroughly enjoyed my weekend filigree course with Filipa Oliveira. The benches were set up fantastically, every tool I could have needed was on hand. Absolutely 1000% recommend if you're considering going there for a course!

I have done a few different classes at Vanilla ink, after graduating I was a little lost with myself and wanted to further my knowledge of different skills. The classes here are so good! The notes along with the teachers are top class, asking questions are encouraged and the studios are well equipped for their needs. Very accessible on public transport and plenty places to park. Would highly recommend to anyone from beginners to advanced or those just looking for something different to do!

Vanilla Ink studios and jewellery school caters for everyone from beginners to professional stone setting classes. Studio residence have 24 hour access and the use of all the extensive studio equipment. In addition they receive monthly tutorials to help further their jewellery skills for the creative director Scott. Beginner jewellers or those after a taster session in jewellery making are equally catered for with a wide range of introductory classes that allow for easy progression in skill level. The ambience in the studio is beautiful and welcoming. All the Vanilla Ink team are friendly, knowledgable and always ready to help. There is professional links in place to casting companies, jewellery suppliers and stone merchants. Business help and tips are in hand too. I highly recommend Vanilla Ink.

Fantastic jewellery school and studio, full of mega talented craftspeople. They offer longer workshops, taster sessions, Xmas classes and more, I have given these as unique and treasured gifts, starting people on a love affair with jewellery making. Scott McIntyre is a genius goldsmith and genuinely decent guy to deal with who just happens to have written a blinding book....read their info, look at the work and be part of something creative that makes a difference to others.

I attended the summer school 1 week long class back in August (sorry for the delay in writing this review!) I just wanted to say what a great class it was. We leaned loads in one week, much more than I was expecting. It was really well organised (and we all felt super safe with regards to Covid). All tools/equipment were sanitised between uses and we had loads of space between benches, plenty hand sanitizers available, boxes for belongings and temperatures checked on entry and after lunch again. I loved that we were encouraged to use design skills rather than just copying things. Everything was explained really well and I felt like we covered so many techniques in such a short space of time. It was quite fast paced but I think that’s what you’re looking for when you book an intensive class so I was really happy with the pace of things. The studio is such a nice space to be in, it’s lovely and bright and really well equipped. I’d definitely recommend this place for anyone interested in learning jewellery skills. I had an amazing week, wish it was a month long! Thanks again for a really great learning experience.

I had a great afternoon at the Silver ring workshop. The workshop was in easy to follow steps and Kate and Jen were great at explaining what to do. The studio is really big and they had lots of measures in place to ensure everything was safe and compliant with COVID guidelines. Plus I now have a lovely piece of jewellery.

We traveled all the way from PHILLY to learn how to make silver rings with Scott and Kate, and my god, was it sooooo worth it. What a blast! Highly, highly recommend. These guys know what they're doing, they're super fun to learn from, and the entire environment is great for sparking your creativity and getting out of your normal routine. Don't hesitate, go take a class! (Promise it's not as scary as it seems.)

My friend got me a ring making class here for my birthday and it was amazing! We made stacking rings and were treated to tea and biscuits! We even went back to the shop for a sale later that day and everything they had going was awesome, unique and beautiful. Can't recommend enough!
