Me and my boyfriend attended a ring workshop this weekend and it was amazing! Andrew was calm and patient, knowledgeable and helpful in a really beautiful combination of making sure our rings looked good without taking over. We had such a great time and are absolutely over the moon with our rings. I cant wait to book another!

Amazing evening! Our first time ever trying silver smithing and we thought we'd be awful but we made some beautiful rings. Andrew couldn't have been nicer or a better teacher - and I'm eternally grateful for him cleaning my rings as a lil bonus!

This was my first time making silver jewellery, had a really enjoyable day & loved learning how to make my rings. The course tutors were lovely and friendly and with the course only being for 6 ppl Andrew had plenty of time for any questions we had and to check how we were all doing. Love my rings and will definitely do another course with Noctua.

We had a fabulous evening making rings. I was a total beginner, no experience necessary. The work room was very well fitted out, small but warm and cosy. The tutor, Andrew was a great teacher. The evening flew by. We made lovely rings, so perfect and sparkling!
We would definitely return for another silver making workshop! Thank you.

Well what can I say. Myself and my girlfriend to make each other promise rings. From the outset Andrew was fantastic and patient with everyone, making sure our rings were perfect for each other, the details and knowledge was amazing, 4 years after being a web developer and you would think he’s been doing it forever. We bought a extra ring for our 7 year old and he helped me make sure this matched the one I made for my partner and it turned out stunning. Thank you! It was an amazing experience and would not hesitate to book again and very much recommended to book on

I had such an amazing time at the one day silversmithing workshop. Andrew and Britt were great, talked through everything in detail and helped with design ideas. My aim was to learn as many techniques as possible so they suggested what I could make to allow for that. Would highly recommend!

5 stars for the wedding ring workshop - Andrew was so patient and we had so much fun! But 3 stars for communication and events afterwards. So giving them an average of 4.
We had to chase Noctua for the progress of our rings on many occasions. Though we did try to be sympathetic. We know they had to use external companies and this was at the height of the pandemic, which was just awful for all concerned! In addition, we enquired about getting something other than a plain band for one of our rings and they readily offered to get the outside of the ring engraved. A design was agreed upon but the ring that was made had a completely different design. This came to light days before our wedding unfortunately. They did seem very apologetic and did recast the ring with a plain band after our wedding. But the whole experience became quite a long, drawn out ordeal. The final ring wasn't perfect (the internal engraving looks smudged but we know it was done by an external company and not their work) and we never received the silver rings we created in the workshop for casting, as stated on booking. But to be fair, we didn't take this any further as we just wanted to move on.
So would absolutely recommend them for a workshop experience but would not leave something so precious as wedding rings with them.

Had a brilliant time at the ring making workshop at Farm Yard Ales. Thanks to Andrew for his great tuition!

I attended the ring-making workshop recently with Andrew and Gabbi and really enjoyed it. Everything was set up and explained in such an easy was to follow, even for complete beginners like me. I couldn’t believe what I managed to make with their help, I’m so happy with my new rings! I’ve already booked on to my next workshop and would really recommend :)

Did my first workshop here recently and it was absolutely fantastic. The hosts are so welcoming and down to earth, the space is really interesting and the time absolutely flew by. I'll definitely be coming back to try my hand at another type of silversmithing again in the future!

I just completed a beginners course with Andrew and Britt and cannot recommend highly enough. They’re both so attentive and really passionate and knowledgable about what they do. Really nice environment to learn and work in. I can’t wait to do another one of their courses.

Fabulous experience doing the ring making class at Cedar Farm. Absolutely would recommend it. Am really excited about what else I might be able to make now!!

I loved this workshop! Located in a fab building, the studio was light and bright and Britt and her team were really knowledgeable and friendly. I learned loads and will definitely be booking again!

Great experience. Andrew & Britt are lovely and excellent teachers. Made some fab pieces of jewellery on the 3 day course, have booked onto another day and can't wait!!
Update - I have been on a couple more classes and am still as enthusiastic as I was on the first. Britt and Andrew are fab - you always leave with a finished, beautiful and entirely, personal piece of jewellery. All thanks to their patience, experience and expert guidance.
I have now set up my own little workshop and am waiting for the next step in my jewellery journey!
Next step - I have just completed the 5 day Intermediate course. It has really set me up for making my own jewellery at home. I have built my confidence - with a lot of support, guidance and patience from Britt and Andrew - thank you guys! I have produced some fabulous pieces, and have come away exhausted but with a definite bounce in my step!

Absolutely loved my one day wedding ring making workshop with Brit and Andrew. Anything was possible with them and we created something I never imagined I could. Love being able to present a handmade, one of a kind ring to my husband to be!

Had the best morning on our Silversmith course at Noctua. The session was very informative and interesting. A relaxed vibe in a lovely little workshop in Liverpool. Myself and my mother made silver stacking rings and a chunky ring. We both couldn't express more how much of a fab time we had! My mother commented it was one of the best things we have done together. I recommend this to anyone. It really is well worth trying. Andrew was excellent teaching us!

We had a brilliant time on the stacking ring workshop. Andrew was so patient and everything was explained so well and made the whole process seem easy. I had an afternoon of fun with the bonus of three gorgeous rings (3rd ring was a small extra cost). Thank you so much Noctua team.

Just finished a once-a-week 8 session course. Really good fun and learned a whole lotta stuff. It's a very practical course and you'll be amazed at what you can make in 8x2.5 hour sessions. As a complete novice I was entirely in Britt and Andrew's hands and they were brilliant with all of the attendees. Very patient, very knowledgeable. If you're thinking of attending any of the courses, just do it.

I loved making my rings with Noctua - they were professional and safety conscious at all times but also made the session fun and relaxed. Thank you so much!

I took a private lesson to learn bezel setting and was very happy with it. Afterwards they emailed me the guidelines, along with a list of necessary equipment which was very useful. The studio was also very nice and clean. I totally recommend Noctua to anyone interested in silversmithing.

Had a private workshop with my partner and Noctua were great - Andrew was a great teacher and we produced some really nice silver rings. Definitely inspired us to try and make our own someday. Would really recommend

The long awaited bangle workshop was brilliant!
We have been patiently waiting for Noctua to come to East Anglia for a while, however it was definitely worth it!
It took 2 hours to make a beautiful textured silver bangle complete with a blue agate bead and a mother of pearl bead elegantly attached (other beads available!).
I would recommend this workshop to anyone who has ever been interested in jewellery or making their own.
Easy to follow, straight forward to do and what a positive result to take away and wear.
I will definitely be returning.
Thank you Noctua ⭐

I recently attended an 8 week course at Noctua and would highly recommend their amazing workshops. I have made some beautiful pieces of jewellery and have learned many new skills. Britt is a wonderful teacher and has become a great mentor and friend to me.

Britt and Andrew provide a perfect relaxed atmosphere for learning all about jewellery making. You can ask them anything, they don't mind sharing their knowledge and they're always happy to help or suggest ideas. I've found a new hobby for which I will be forever grateful to the pair of them!
All the above still applies, but I felt I should update my review to say I still enjoy going on workshops at Noctua, still the same relaxed atmosphere, still learning (do you ever stop) and it's lovely to see Britt and Andrew, it really is like going to visit friends!

I've done 2 ring making sessions at different places and can't wait to try a different workshop. They are absolutely fantastic. You are taught everything you need to know and all the equipment you need is provided along with loads of encouragement and support. Can't wait to try something new. Thank you.

Thoroughly enjoyed the bezel setting workshop and was so pleased with the ring I made with sea glass my son found on our local beach. The workshop is a brilliant space to work in and the teaching from Andrew was excellent. Great lunch in the cafe too!

My second workshop, this time at their home studio....loved it. Andrew and Brit are really patient, they explain everything fully and are so helpful. Nothing is too much trouble, they love what they do and want you to as well. I am already looking to do another one with them very soon. I have bored everyone rigid at work today showing off my spinner ring. I have wanted to make one for ages, it came out exactly as I envisioned it. It fits perfectly.....and now my daughter wants one. I recommend them to you without hesitation.

Noctua's beginner course was so informative and very enjoyable. The course was very flexible to accommodate your own design ideas, whilst being guided along the whole time. I would highly recommend Noctua.

I had a great time in the workshop! It was the first time I made any jewellery, Andrew was very patient and explained everything in detail, I will definitely recommend their workshops!

Had a wonderful time on the sea-glass course yesterday. Andrew and Britt are the best teachers - knowledgable, patient and kind. There is a real ‘can-do’ approach in the workshop. For anyone who wants to unlock their creativity, Noctua is the place to be.

We had a lovely time on the beginners ring making workshop. The time flew by and it was lovely to do something so interesting that was a world away from normality and away from Covid-19.

Fantastic tutors who are very patience, calm and very knowledgeable. I have been to quite a few classes now and each one was excellent. This becomes so addictive easily and you won't regret going. The you feeling you get after you have made your jewellery (you do everything yourself) makes you burst with pride. If your in doubt about booking a place don't be!

Just completed a 3 day course at Noctua Jewellery Workshops under the wonderful and patient tutors Brit and Andrew. Their patience and expertise, guiding learning to ensure quality jewellery is produced by the participants. Loved the experience and hoping to return soon. Thank you x

I did the stacking ring class which was held at Vintage Home, Birkdale and loved it. I thought I would struggle as I have several health issues but this wasn't the case. Everything was carefully explained and help was readily available. I did the bangle class that same afternoon and was so glad I did. I will be booking more classes in future. There was nothing negative to say, the entire experience was amazing.

Went to a stacking ring workshop when the team came out to Tattenhall. It was so much fun, and so interesting. My partner and I made our wedding bands this way and it was really special. I cannot recommend enough!

Just completed the 4 week (8 hours) introductory course - absolutely loved the course - Andrew was knowledgable, helpful and fun! Have made some fantastic silver jewellery and inspired to do more very soon - great value too!

Extremely well organised, everything there but wine. Very clear step-by-step demonstrations, subtle support, and the tutor was so friendly. I came out with three different, professional-looking rings and a thirst for learning more. This was my best ever birthday present.

Had a lovely afternoon - and left with rings that look almost professional. Lots of help given, relaxed atmosphere, plenty of choice in what you could make. Bonus was 2 very cute and well behaved dogs. Would recommend.

Lovely day of silversmithing- the bezel setting workshop included making a bezel setting, soldering, using a saw (badly, in my case), making a ring shank, filing, buffing, polishing and setting the stone.
Expert tuition, lots of support from Andrew, lovely company from the other ladies taking the course too.

I did the 8 week course with Britt and Andrew and had the absolute best time ever! They’re both so sweet and helpful and patient, I couldn’t recommend one of their classes more. ❤️❤️❤️
