My wife loves the jewellery, and I love the service. Maike has been absolutely brilliant throughout all of our purchases, extremely professional and never fails to create a great buying experience. When I needed to surprise my wife with a gift, I didn't even have to go on their website to search for any ideas. I simply emailed Maike and she had made a note of exactly what jewellery my wife was interested in when we were last in London. The gift then arrived the next day, perfect. I have come to know Asraf now for a number of years since 2016 and I can't speak highly enough of his nature and approach to customer service. I’m simply delighted with my new solitaire diamond ring from De Beers at Old Bond Street. I’d been looking for a long while for the right ring and at De Beers, Anneabell Bailey did not disappoint (even in lock down! I very much enjoyed my first video appointment!) Absolutely brilliant selection of diamonds (De Beers own their diamonds straight from the mine) which was complemented with the most excellent customer service. Anneabell took so much time in explaining to me all about the “3 C’s”. She even explained in detail about De Beers’ community sustainability work they do which was fascinating. I was so thrilled picking up my ring today. It’s truly stunning and given the impressive customer service I’ll back to see Anneabell for certain when I’m buying more jewellery!

I visited Old Bond Street to view some engagement ring options with my now Fiance. The service I received was excellent. I visited Cartier and Tiffanys and in the end DeBeers was the best option. I highly recommend Emilie who has been great in helping me to select the perfect ring.

I am so happy with my purchase from De Beers - I bought an engagement ring for my (now) Fiancee, and Maike was incredibly helpful in both pre and post sales. Maike helped me to understand the 4Cs, which aspects are most important and we selected a beautiful ring which also worked for my budget. The service really shone after the proposal - Maike invited us back to the store to toast with champagne and to show my fiance the diamond on the Iris machine and she took the time (an hour actually!) to explain everything everything to my fiancee who left feeling incredibly special. Absolutely fantastic jeweller. The person I spoke to was very knowledgeable, helpful, and thoughtful; she showed me a wide range of beautiful jewellery, and was always available in person and by email for the several questions I asked in the run-up to purchasing an engagement ring. Really great experience each time I go and get my ring serviced which is part of their package. And they are always quicker than they say to get the ring back to you. Cleaning always has great results, the shop is big and has a wide selection of various different jewellery. Be aware that this is a high cost jewellers, for better prices of diamonds in London head to Hatton gardens.

De Beers has created a historic name in the world of fine jewellery. The staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating. At no point will you feel rushed or pressured into making a decision that is not right for you, or the lucky person receiving a gift. They have a great selection of items across a broad price range (although tilted well to the upper end). When you receive service like theirs you feel that the De Beers name has done itself justice.

De Beers has beautiful diamond jewellery including both classic designs and more contemporary lines. Although as you would expect, they have some extraordinary and large stones, I would say they steer clear of the chunky, more flamboyant style of jewellery typical of houses like Bulgari, it's more Upper East Side than Vegas. The store has an impressive presence on the corner of Picadilly and Bond Street and has the dark glass, remotely operated sliding doors, and expensively suited doormen that can be a bit intimidating for those of us who didn't cut our teeth on an Asprey and Garrard silver teethers, but said doormen are polite and helpful and the service here is helpful, really helpful, and charming. It can't be denied that buyers pay a premium for purchasing from here, but the quality of the settings I have seen is outstanding and the after-sales service is second to none. They will provide annual prong checks (a requirement on some insurance policies) polishing and valuations without charge. When I drop in I always walk around the displays and while I love to gawp at the 4 carat honkers and dazzling necklaces, the very smallest solitaires have tremendous sparkle and elegance. De Beers after all are the diamond people, and their diamonds are incredibly beautiful, to help you understand why, they employ their own "Iris" technology, which magnifies your diamond and passes a light(?) across it so that every facet is illuminated and displayed on screen so you can appreciate the cut and symmetry. The table facet of each diamond is also engraved with a unique identity number that can only be read at 200 x magnification. De Beers was in the vanguard to developing and implementing the Kimberly Process to try to eliminate blood diamonds entering the supply chain and is now active in trying to ensure that the countries and communities where they mine, benefit from the wealth and training and employment opportunities they create; their decision to move the centre of their vast diamond sorting operation from London to Botswana in 2012 being one example. Buying a De Beers diamond you can be as confident as is possible to be about the chain of custody back to legitimate, ethical production. If you are considering buying a special piece of diamond jewellery, I'd really recommend taking a look at De Beers. I think their pricing is slightly more competitive than Tiffany & Co, and certainly better than Graff or Cartier looking at diamonds with like-for-like specs.
