Hatton Garden can be a daunting experience for the uninitiated & so after much window shopping & almost as much internet research E Katz & co seemed like a wise choice, especially considering the large window displays which also show clear pricing. Couldn’t be happier with the whole experience today, Mr Katz & his assistant were a pleasure to deal with & he is obviously a very interesting character who is passionate about his trade. This not only adds to the experience , but gives a great sense of ease around the purchase of one of his beautifully crafted diamond rings. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend E Katz & co to anyone looking for quality jewellery sold the way it has always been, across a counter with a 😊

Had a great experience getting our engagement ring from E Katz last week. Having read various reviews of Hatton Garden jewellers, which warned of hard sells, pressure and pushiness, we were a little nervous about what to expect. We settled on an appointment at E Katz after reading all the favourable comments about them online and weren't disappointed. The whole process was very straightforward, with Robert and the team patiently helping us to find a beautiful ring that we absolutely love! They even resized the ring within an hour so that we could take it home with us the same day, which completely exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for a jeweller in Hatton Garden then I promise you this is the place! E Katz & Co helped me create the most incredible bespoke engagement ring (photo attached). I initially approached Robert and Mr Katz with only a very rough/vague ring idea in mind. Across a number of face to face conversations and emails both Mr Katz and Robert helped mould this rough idea into a final ring that was more beautiful and unique that anything I could have hoped for - on top of all this they were able to deliver the ring within the very tight timeframe I asked for. Throughout the process Robert and Mr Katz were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and always on hand to offer honest, helpful advice. There are plenty of big jewellers in and around Hatton Gardens but if you want a warm, professional, personal service then this is 100% the place to go. Buying an engagement ring (I’m sure) can be a stressful experience but here it was the opposite. They made the experience even more special and I am delighted I picked this store!

Robert provided us with excellent service redesigning my engagement ring following damage and some dubious repairs! We wanted the ring to be redesigned with a wider shank and Robert provided us with some excellent advice. Deciding on a final design we received a CAD drawing and regular emails on the progress of the new ring. The end result is stunning and we are both so happy. Having bought my eternity ring here 10 years ago we knew this was the place to go. If you are looking for friendly advice and no one hard selling you then this is the place to go, this little shop is a 'gem' (excuse the pun) on Hatton Garden.

My fiancé had been researching eternity rings and wedding bands for a few weeks when he found E Katz & Co, a small family run business whilst looking online. We took a trip to London to have a look. Hatton Garden is full of posh jewellery shops and the thought of dealing with pushy sales people filled me with dread. Luckily we went straight to Mr Katz. Mr Katz is a true professional and knew exactly what we were looking for. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He offered to engrave my wedding band and my fiancés too, even though we hadn’t purchased his ring from here. He even said he would polish my engagement ring for me when we returned to collect my rings. We found the most perfect eternity ring and had it made in platinum along with a plain platinum wedding band. This family run business provides a bespoke, personal and friendly service to its customers. I honestly cannot thank Mr Katz enough. Mr Katz is clearly an expert and knows what he is doing. Not only did he allow me to try on my engagement ring several times, but he also advised us to go outside with him and see what the ring looked like in natural light. I approached E Katz following lockdown for my engagement ring resizing and wedding ring adjustment as my finger had increased in size. Finding a jeweller you can trust was paramount for me and Robert and his team provided me with confidence at every step of the process. The Covid-19 safety protocols put in place within the shop made me feel very safe (screens and hand sanitiser and people asked to wait outside for keep numbers down). I went in, not entirely knowing what I wanted with my wedding ring re-sizing, but after exploring about a 10 options and changing my mind many many times I decided to have a bespoke shaped band to fit with my engagement ring. Robert has a lot of patience. Robert and his team gave me realistic timescales about when the 3 different rings would be completed (engagement ring resizing, old wedding ring resizing and new bespoke wedding ring, shaped and to include part of my old wedding ring). I was able to pick up the engagement ring first, which was lovely to receive back gleaming and sparkling as if it was new (it certainly wasn't that clean before they adjusted it). I then received drawings for the new bespoke ring to approve by email prior to adjustments being made. Robert updated me by email throughout the process and I couldn't have asked for more communication. Today I picked up the bespoke ring and old wedding ring and they fit perfectly and I am very very pleased. I highly recommend E Katz and would go back there instantly if I have any further requirements for a jeweller.

Robert and team were fantastic through the whole ring buying process. They took the time to explain different aspects of the purchase from the stone “C”s to the GIA reports and were completely flexible in building the right ring for us. Given an increasing interest in the provenance on the products we buy I was surprised to find out that is extremely difficult in the diamond industry currently - with most jewellers not even offering to try to determine the diamond stone’s provenance. However Robert was up for the challenge and spent months with contacts and dealers using relationships built up over many years to source a stone from the specific country we were looking for. There was no pressure, no rushing and everything was handled with excellent customer service. Yes you may be able to find something slightly cheaper online, but for such an emotional purchase I would very much recommend the romance of understanding, building and assessing the diamond in person - and Katz is the perfect place to do that.

I bought an engagement ring from here earlier in the year. On entering the shop I was pleasantly greeted and made to feel very relaxed and welcomed. The shop feels much more of a traditional jewellers than some others that I looked into... After going through various styles, grades of stones and of course budget I was shown a few rings and stones. There were no pushy sales, everything was very straight forward, and so also, a very memorable, enjoyable experience. With their own workshop on site I felt like I was buying a really nice, honest piece of jewellery. A few weeks later I had a discreet call to say that the ring was ready. E Katz were happy to hold on to the ring for me until I was ready to collect it a month or so later. The ring was slightly too large and was resized quickly whilst we waited in the area after we we’re engaged. Couldn’t be happier with both the ring and the service we received from all at E Katz & Co they are exactly the jewellers I was looking for!

The authenticity of this old school family run business that did not care for the nonsense of designer chairs & fancy coffee machine sales props inside their antiquated shop, provided the most fantastic service, experience and value. Very pleased with resizing and replacement of diamond and cleaning of engagement ring last July and recently resizing of wedding ring and being advised to wait for engraver to return from holiday rather than having it engraved by laser. It has a pattern all round and you wouldn't know it has had an extra piece of gold put in the engraving is so good. Also both cleaned and you wouldn't know they are both nearly 41 years old the job is so professional. Very pleased and happy.

Bought my wife's engagement ring from here and found every element of the service I received perfect. I know nothing about jewellery, but the guy who served me put completely at ease, explaining in simple terms the main differences between the various options. When it came to deciding which one to get, I ended up choosing between two. I asked the guy for his advice and he actually recommended the cheaper of the pair! Fortunately, my fiance said yes - and absolutely loves the ring. The postscript to this story is that i found myself in conversation with someone who sort of works in the jewellery business at an event a couple of months later. Told him about the ring and how much I paid and he was really surprised I'd been given such a good deal. I guess it's because it's an old family business, but it's so nice not to feel like a shop of this kind is wringing every last pound they can get out of you (which is what I was worried about). It just feels like a traditional place, where they do things properly, with none of he fuss. Was so happy with everything that I returned there last week to get my wedding band - and they instantly remembered me and gave me a nice little discount on that! Katz & Co is an Oasis in the diamond chaos - a place of calm where you can sit and think, and figure what you need. We found three beautiful engagement rings in Katz and with the help of the wonderful staff we made our choice - a beautiful diamond solitaire set in a white gold band. The staff were always helpful without being pushy or try the hard sell. Listened to what we had to say and really helped us out as to what would be the right choice.
