I have just had my diamond engagement ring reshaped (it got squashed somehow) and polished. Superb service, my wedding ring was also polished , all graciously. It is rare to come across a business of any kind that consistently surpasses one’s expectations but, as evidenced by the many other positive reviews, the team at Eric Ross do just that. Their craftsmanship, knowledge, care, and attention to detail are world-class, and they are genuinely nice people. I first met Ben 14 years ago when I came in to buy an engagement ring. My wife and I have since returned periodically for cleanings and to buy other pieces, and we last visited shortly before the onset of the pandemic to have some valuations updated. We had our two young children with us, and the team made them feel very special indeed – even presenting them with little ring boxes to play with (which they still have and treasure). Nothing ever felt hurried. We had our wedding bands and other items cleaned at no charge while we waited. Eric Ross Jewellers have become our family jewellers, and we hope they will remain so for many years to come. We continue to recommend them to friends, colleagues, and other family members. The best. I bought an engagement ring and then went back for our wedding rings as the service provided was incredible. My wife lost one of the diamonds from her engagement ring and they replaced it for free with no issue. Absolutely amazing, I couldn't recommend Eric Ross more! (Somewhat obviously) I'd never had to do anything like this before and the guys at Eric Ross were so welcoming, down to Earth and accommodating. At no point was there a sales pitch, they were just open and honest and gave me so much advice. My fiancée wanted a very specific type of ring, including some hard-to-find grey diamonds (also called salt and pepper) as part of a trilogy ring. While they didn't have any themselves they managed to source 3 pairs from other jewellers in a very short space of time, or offered to source them directly from suppliers overseas. We picked one of those sets and they built the ring with their talented team upstairs. After the event it turned out we needed the ring resizing but they did this for us in no time at all, while we popped elsewhere for lunch. Absolutely fantastic! Special thanks to Simon, Heidi and Ben who were all brilliant individually and as a team!

My Dad bought an engagement ring for my Step-mum from Ben at Eric Ross a few years back, and while he was there he was going to surprise me by getting an engagement ring cleaned for me. The engagement ring belonged to my mum who had passed, and I was to give this to my partner. Ben never charged my Dad for the clean and even gave him a neat little ring box for free. When my dad showed me the ring and told me what Ben had done, I was so chuffed that people like that still existed. So when the time came for me to get my Dads old wedding ring resized to fit me and the other rings cleaned for my wedding, I took them to Ben at Eric Ross. Claira, Ben and the other staff were very welcoming, and couldn’t do enough for me. Ben resized the ring and cleaned them all for me within minutes of my arrival. It seems his generosity has no limits as he wouldn’t take any money from me. I live a long way away from the store, but would definitely pay over the odds and spend the time travelling to do business with Ben and the team. Thank you, you’ve earned a customer for life!

I have recently purchased an engagement ring from Eric Ross Jewellers and they were truly fantastic. After many months of extensive research on the internet and in shops throughout the UK I decided to take a trip to Hatton Garden, I can safely say that I visited pretty much every shop over two days and Eric Ross was definitely the best. Ben and his team, especially Colin were outstanding in terms of knowledge and service, they were extremely competitive on price and definitely the best value for money in terms of service and quality. I was shown around their on-site workshop by Colin which was brilliant. The selection of stones that they own and stock is remarkable. Nothing was ever too much and at no point did I feel pressurised or rushed. I left with the stones I liked on hold and soon made up my mind. I needed the ring quickly and it was made and received all within 10 days. Amazing. It is perfect. I will certainly be going back for our wedding bands. Many thanks all.

I need to start this review off with my mum always telling me that if I ever needed Jewellery then we need to go to Eric Ross Shop in London, and she was right! However living in Cornwall was not a case of just whipping into the shop. Unfortunately my mums passed away in June 2020 and had several beautiful items of jewellery which we needed to be valued. I was very apprehensive of leaving these precious and sentimental pieces, but from the moment we walked into the shop Ben and the rest of the team made my sister and I feel at ease. They remembered my mum and step dad and the personal touch was amazing. We left the jewellery at the shop and I had no doubts or concerns leaving it with them. (they even resized a ring for my sister) The same afternoon they rang us to let us know it was ready for collection if we wanted, astonishingly quick! We went back the next morning to collect the items, and as before friendly and smiley faces greeted us. Everything was all sorted and certificates printed out for us, nothing was to much trouble. I left the shop knowing that in the future when I decide to buy more jewellery that I would most certainly be travelling back up to see Ben & the team. They have lots of stunning jewellery, and I cant wait to go back. Go see for yourself you will not be disappointed!

Eric Ross had amazing reviews and I am really happy to write my own today to state once again the quality of the service and professionalism we received! We were welcomed by Simon and Ben. We brought our stone and I explained what I had in mind. Simon advised me on what would highlight the stone better and I followed his suggestions. They created a CAD design to validate what we spoke about, then I tried the actual mount and a week after that, I came in with my fiancé to pick up a ring that over achieved my expectations! We bought two beautiful wedding rings from them at a very competitive price, but it's the friendly, welcoming experience and customer service that stands out. My wife has a necklace pendant which we bought a replacement chain for from Eric Ross, which they then fitted to the pendant. They also offered to value the piece for us (both at no charge), which we'll be taking them up on soon. Additionally, they've also polished her engagement ring a couple of times (which I didn't buy from them). Finally, they offered free engravings for our wedding rings, though in the end we didn't opt to take them up on that. All the above was offered with a friendly and very helpful approach - would highly recommend them, amongst a crowded and competitive field in Hatton Garden!

The shop doesn't have the fancy marble frontage or grand entrances that the other do but their knowledge, range and helpfulness are second to none. Ben and his team took a family stone out of a necklace and helped us design a fantastic engagement ring to set the stone in. He followed up the great service a year later when we purchased our wedding bands. I wanted my wifes fingerprint on my wedding band. Ben expertly guided us through the many different types of bands available and helped get the fingerprinted lasered onto the ring. He even did a trial run on a silver band for me to try our to ensure I liked it. All of the staff in the shop are so helpful. Any time we pass we pop in and the guys are happy to professionally clean & polish the rings while you watch in their workshop upstairs free of charge. We visited Eric Ross on 4 separate occasions before purchasing an engagement ring from them and they could not be beaten on price, quality, knowledge and service when compared to the many other jewellers we visited in Hatton Garden. My Fiancé was actually looking at having diamonds all around the band- and though this was more expensive- Eric Ross recommended not to go with this option due to catching the ring and stones potentially falling out. They’re able to work with you no matter what your budget is and never came across as pushy on any of our 4 visits. The ring we purchased was a halo oval ring and has had many compliments from everyone that sees it. Recently, my fiancé visited Tiffany & Co and the staff mistakenly thought the ring had been purchased from there. There was almost an identical ring however it was 4 times more expensive!!! It is truly excellent quality. They even took us around the work shop to see how the ring would be resized! We looked everywhere for the right engagement ring, from the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter, to our local jewellery shops, to Bond Street and Hatton Garden. Of the dozens of shops we visited, Eric Ross was the only one we visited more than once. Ben listened to our requirements and helped us design our perfect ring. There were NO pushy “sales tactics” – just an honest conversation with craftsmen and women about their work. We were shown into the workshop above the shop where the ring would be made by hand – this made the process extra special. When the ring was ready, we were also able to watch our diamond being set. The ring needs some very minor adjustments – again, this is being provided at no extra cost as part of the lifetime guarantee. An insurance valuation certificate, with photographs, was provided at no extra cost (some jewellers charge up to £100). You are also welcome to pop in to get the ring cleaned at any time, at no extra cost (some jewellers charge for this service). And, the icing on the cake… the presentation box is lovely. The pricing was open, honest and reasonable throughout and our budget was respected. It wasn’t the cheapest shop we found, however, we did think it provided the best value for money for the service given. Eric Ross was also one of the only jewellers we found that would set a diamond bought from another retailer. We bought our diamond from Whiteflash Inc in the USA (pro tip – you can often get more for your money by doing this). Eric Ross supported that decision and worked with us to create the best ring possible to really show the diamond in the best way. I cannot praise Eric Ross’s work highly enough, in terms of craftsmanship, sales and aftercare. And, if this wasn’t enough, they have also made a completely different ring for good friends of ours, and they are thrilled with the result too. Without hesitation, we can recommend Eric Ross for making your engagement ring. In due course, we hope to go back there for our wedding rings.

Whilst looking for an engagement ring I was recommended this jeweller by a friend due to their extremely helpful and friendly nature. I travelled up and down Hatton Garden purposefully leaving Eric Ross until last so as to have a base for comparison. I found them second to none! Having done some research, I was able to go into the shop and come away with a ring that fit my requirements (and of course my budget) but most importantly, a diamond that was to my partners expectations. Even if I had no clue as to what I was looking at/for, I feel I could have still accomplished this with Simon’s (the kind gentleman who helped me) guidance. Having discussed my winter proposal plans in Canada with Simon, he supplied me with a number of different cases and a small leather pouch to assist me in keeping the ring undetected until that desired moment. As others have commented, Hatton Garden can be a bit overwhelming with so many shops. Trying to source a replacement sapphire for my wife's engagement ring, by good fortune the first shop I tried was Eric Ross. Whilst they themselves couldn't help, they quickly recommended a specialist store opposite that could. They were absolutely right - the other store had a huge, well-priced selection. The Hatton Garden community then came into play as this store recommended a repair studio across the street that would be able to fit the stone I'd just purchased. In the run-up to Christmas this proved to be impossible and I was ready to accept defeat. Wandering back down Hatton Garden and without realising it walked back into Eric Ross. The assistant who'd recommended the stone supplier recognised me and immediately checked if their repair expert in the store basement was available. I then spent a fascinating 15 minutes whilst the expert - and that is exactly what he was - duly fitted the stone, cleaning the ring in the process. It was a pleasure to see a true craftsman at work. The experience I had was the best I have ever had and a great tribute to the Eric Ross staff who could not have cared more if they tried. I can't recommend them highly as helpful, knowledgeable very fair people to do business with. If you have any jewelry needs, it would be worth a special trip to Eric Ross.

7 years ago, we had a platinum and diamond eternity ring made at Eric Ross. It was a thing of beauty, 5 half carat certified diamonds in a platinum bar mount. Recently my wife decided she preferred a cluster setting and so we talked to Clive and he showed us what the final alteration would look like. We agreed to go ahead with having it remade into a flower cluster with two additional diamonds. We expected it to be perfect as that is what Clive does and when we collected the ring it was certainly transformed. The ring looks beautiful, has 7 certified brilliant cut diamonds set in platinum and we are assured that the setting is bulletproof which is good as the valuation now is for nearly a mortgage. As a side issue, I ruined my wife's Rolex watch clasp screw with a pair of pliers and tried to recut the thread with a tap, breaking it off in the clasp. Many places gave up and I was quoted over £700 by Rolex for a new clasp. We took it with us to Eric Ross and Clive personally repaired it there and then, actually getting the broken tool out with a laser. The watch is now perfect again and Clive didn't even charge for the work. So what better recommendation could anybody want! We really cannot recommend Eric Ross more. 14th July 2018 I asked Ben if he could keep an eye out for a particular Rolex. It is quite rare and expensive. One day he emailed me to say that he had got one. We went to the shop and saw it. I made the decision then and there to buy it. I picked it up today. It is a thing of beauty and will be kept at the bank. It is a current model, platinum and worn by President Johnson (his was only gold though). Ben saved us ££££'s on the new price and a bottle of Brut Traditional champagne to boot. One again, I cannot speak more highly of Ben and his staff at Eric Ross. Go there. 23rd March 2019 update After taking our daughter to see Ben, I wanted to buy her a ring as a keepsake after I die, not that I am planning to anytime soon. It was a Monday and Ben first showed her around the workshop as she has an interest having worked for a large gemalogical society. She chose a nice sapphire and diamonds and had it all mounted in a platinum mount. Ben arranged a sizable and I do mean sizable discount from the retail price. I arranged to return the following week with my wife to resize some white gold rings and more importantly to leave my Rolex with Ben to finally change out the rhodium roman Dial with an ice blue plain baton dial. This was all done by Rolex within a fortnight and when we returned on 23rd, my Rolex president platinum day date is now is a thing of beauty that that gives me a nice feeling both to wear and to look at and at very little cost. I have not visited any other jewellers in Hatton Garden as I feel I don't ever need to as the service, personal treatment etc given by Ben and his staff make it unnecessary and unthinkable. Once again, I cannot recommend Eric Ross more highly. Thanks Ben!

It was the first jewellers I visited and the only one! I can't recommend this place enough! Don't waste any time and go straight to Eric Ross as your dream ring is waiting for you! My fiancé proposed to me 18 months ago, at the time we started looking for the perfect engagement ring but we never found what we were exactly looking for or we were quoted ridiculous prices. After having so many unsuccessful trips to various diamond shops we gave up. Recently my fiancé asked we I wanted to start to look again but this time we would go with open minds and choose lower cut, colour and clarity etc.. We went to Hatton Gardens on the 21st October and started at the top of the street, the first shop we went into was over priced and I felt uncomfortable with the sales approach, so we left. Anyway we continued walking along the road and we came across the shop on the right hand side of the street with very old fashion shop front. As we were looking through the window we were approached by Collin who was polite and knew exactly what to say, so we followed him into the shop and told him exactly what we've been looking for. He brought out a range of trilogy rings of all different cuts, carats and prices. We were also joined by another colleague Clive who was also very friendly and brought out some different styles of rings to see if anything else caught my eye but I think both of our hearts were always set on the classic trilogy ring. We instantly knew that we had found our ring with the best colour/cut/clarity, even better than the ones we first saw when we first started looking but at a better price. Anyway, we wanted to leave the shop to make sure that we were making the right decision, at this point no one harassed us, they totally understood that we needed time to ourselves before making the BIG decision. As soon as we walked out my fiancé and I knew it was the ring, we quickly grabbed a coffee and went back to the shop. We agreed the price and straight away they opened a bottle of champagne for us whilst they resized my ring. We were still in shock and disbelief that we had found our ring and were able to take it home the very day. Also, whilst we were there we bought my fiancé's wedding band at a great price. They were also able to resize it straight away and now we are planning to go back for my wedding band. All the staff were super friendly and the service was triple excellent like my ring! :)

Nice team, but have made mistakes with both our engagement ring and one of our wedding bands, which is pretty frustrating. Engagement ring didn’t have the right claws, so had to be re-done. Didn’t call us to pick up wedding bands, so I had to call them, then went to pick up and my fiancé’s ring is the wrong size and wouldn’t go ok his finger, ashame and pretty frustrating, especially given limited opening hours to pick it up.
