I had the most wonderful experience buying my wedding band from Holts - not only were Alicja and her colleagues extraordinarily kind, they were infinitely patient walking us through all the options and answering our questions. While some places in Hatton Garden can feel a little intimidating and you're unsure if you are finding quite what you want or need, the service at Holts was warm, honest and knowledgeable. I would very much recommend!

The most fabulous bespoke ring designed by the very lovely Anna at Holts Gems. Although sadly she has now left! I am delighted with it though - exactly what I wanted, within my husband's budget, and whilst I am no expert the craftsmanship does look to be very good. There was one aspect of the post sales customer service that I was not happy with. In fairness however Jason, the CEO from Holts, got in contact very quickly on realising I had an issue and by email, text and phone call when he couldn't get hold of me first time and genuinely wanted to make good - which is always worth knowing.

Originally found holts whilst looking for engagement rings with coloured stones. The store had a wide selection and we found a few rings which suited my style and taste. I have now been wearing the ring for over 18 months and it is still as beautiful as it was in the showroom. We also decided to have Holts make our bespoke wedding bands as we couldn't find what we wanted. The consultant was thorough and did not rush us; she was very friendly and not at all pushy as we had found at other places. We showed her pictures and explained what we wanted. She listened to all the details and the rings were made exactly as we had imagined. Since then we have taken other items to be repaired or additions made and the workmanship is always excellent; the price reasonable; and the customers service faultless. I would definitely return again and would recommend them as a trusted jewellers.

I had a ring designed by Alicja and I could not recommend her enough. She is warm and approachable and very skilled at interpreting what a client wants. Holts have an impressive array of gems in the store but when it became clear that they didn’t have the precise gem size required, she also worked hard to try source them. Ultimately that proved unsuccessful and she proposed a couple of possible alternatives for the design. She kept me updated regularly through the process and the finished product is absolutely stunning. I could not be more pleased with the whole process.

I have to change my review to a positive one. My (now husband) after months of searching finally found the sapphire I wanted at this store. This was not any easy task as I wanted a very specific peacock sapphire that was both blue and green. The one he found was beautiful. It changes in different lighting which is what makes it so special. It's hue is vibrant,it sparkles and the colour saturation covers the entire jewel. It is the perfect size and shape and I can only say that it is perfect. Obviously we had spent a lot of time and many days researching and visiting every single shop in Hatton garden but Holt's was the only store that eventually delivered. I wasn't there when my husband found the stone. However this was one of the first stores we visited although at the time my sapphire wasn't available. My initial impression wasn't not good as I felt that we were brushed aside, however I am very glad my husband came back as I can't imagine wearing a different sapphire now that I have this one. My husband got the ring in another store but it looks better than I could have imagined. I especially like the fact that he designed it specially for me. Hatton garden caters towards diamonds predominantly but there are a few stores that offer gemstones and Holt's is one of them. I would say however that you should start you search early and know what you are looking for (I didn't originally know what I wanted) and be prepared to wait for the right one as it can take time to source the right stone. We saw many sapphires that were no where near as good and it is very common to find sapphires where the colour fades out.

After spending a good hour or two looking around Hattan garden for a coloured stone engagement ring, we found ourselves in Holts. I had a rough idea of what i wanted and Lily was able to put that into reality with a beautiful yellow sapphire in a diamond mount. From choosing the ring to picking it up was about 3 weeks and we were kept informed throughout. I really enjoyed our experience with Holts and Lily in particular and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I definitely recommend Holts Gems. The sales advisers were very helpful. I got an old ring redesigned, Alicja (the Gemmologist there) was very helpful, providing her view and expert knowledge on different stones, she also did a drawing for me, so I can have visual for the final design. The ring turned out to be absolutely amazing. I also got a pendent and another ring fixed, again, the jobs were done professionally. Very happy. Alicja was very patient with me, providing different options so I can make up my mind! Not sure if they have finished the renovation on the shop front by now, otherwise they have a office on 1st floor 39 Greville Street.

I went to Holts recently to have some family heirlooms created into wedding bands for my upcoming wedding. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable, and I have ended up with a beautiful pendant along with the wedding bands. The price was very reasonable, as was the turnaround time, and the service was excellent.
