Tawny came highly recommended by friends of ours and yet managed to over achieve. We had our wedding rings made and Tawny was superb from the initial advice through the design phase to the ultimate finished rings. We wanted rings that looked original but were also clearly wedding rings, and wanted a design that would work for both rings but with unique details for each. Tawny created two rings with the same shape but different materials and finishes that look amazing and are comfortable to wear. Service and timing were also impeccable with the rings ready in a matter of weeks. We were so happy with the wedding rings that we asked Tawny to remake the engagement ring with the original stone but a new bolder design, right after our wedding... Thanks Tawny!

Tawny designed the most beautiful wedding rings for us. It is difficult to describe just how different it is to wear a ring that has been designed to suit ones hand and expertly handcrafted to fit but it does make a huge difference. The rings feel airless on my finger (I ended up with two - one polished the other hammered - a pair) whilst being elegant and unique. The experience of being able to try on several sample rings, discuss likes and dislikes, shapes and fit was made all the more engaging by Tawny's relaxed personality and her insistence that we took the right amount of time to get it right, which we did, with the result we love our rings and feel they are very personal to us.

An excellent experience; very easy process of selection of materials and design which we both appreciated as we were a bit pushed for time and Tawny smoothed things out by helping to direct and suggest alternatives and even managed to create a design that incorporated a notch in my wife's wedding ring that encapsulated her engagement ring as a cluster. I came to Tawny to have a bespoke ring made for my 30th and she did not disappoint! She super friendly and knowledgeable with a good open line of com's throughout the hole experience. After visiting the studio to see some of her work we came up with a few ideas and she soon came back to me with some wax samples to try. She made tweaks and took initiative to produce something that really suited me. After the ring was cast I selected from a few dimonds for the one I wanted and then played about with textures and finishes on serfaces. I'm so happy with the end result and was definitely a memorable experience, it's clear she has a passion for this and takes the time to produce something truly beautiful. I would definitely recommend her to anyone that likes her designs as I found them so unique and just a little bit of me.

My partner was after a square ring and I wanted something that looked almost destroyed... then after doing a google search I found the perfect wedding rings... and they were at Tawny Phillips. We went down to London and it was great meeting Tawny. Especially at seeing the studio too. Tawny did an excellent job. Explaining all the process's that go into making the rings. We were measured up and we were sent two moulds which we loved and sent them back for them to be made into two rings. The end result was and is stunning. We both know we have had one of the hottest designers in modern jewelry create two very individual rings for myself and Jean. When I saw Tawny's website and instagram page I was blown away by how unique her pieces were. Every idea was considered and the process of meeting and being with her every step of the way was a joy. Tawny made my engagement (a stunning teardrop deep red garnet) and wedding rings (a marquis cut garnet) both in rose gold. From the first time we met, she was wonderful at trying to work out exactly what my fiancee and I would like. Originally I had another engagement ring that we knew would be tricky to work with, but Tawny was so helpful when she looked at it in her studio and explained all the pros and cons to us. She didn't just try and create / force an idea to work with the existing the ring or add expensive embellishment (which I can imagine most jewellery designers would have done). In the end I decided to have a completely new set of rings based on a pair I saw on her workshop table in her studio. They caught my eye instantly. I couldn't stop looking at them and thought about the shape and design all the way home. That evening, I emailed her saying how much I loved this particular style so suggested we go for it and make a new engagement ring from scratch - having two rings that connected in it's design felt more personal to us. From that moment on, the process began. Tawny was amazing in terms of scheduling and making sure everything was done on time. She welcomed me to her studio and suggested I get involved as much as possible. Even when it came to sourcing the beautiful garnets, she brought 3 different kinds and asked me to come and have a look. Each stone was from a different part of the world and I had a particular love for Indian garnets. The 3 Tawny sourced weren't from India but it didn't matter - she took them back and found garnets from India that were stunning. It wasn't a problem at all. No request is too much or too big for her. Visiting her Borough studio and learning about her craft was fascinating and as a creative myself, it felt wonderful to talk about ideas and her journey from idea to finished pieces. She's also hidden away in a very creative part of London so it all felt right from start to finish. Her constant curiosity for design as a whole really sums up why she is the best of the best. She doesn't just stick to what she knows - she explores every avenue and will create something you'd be honoured to wear. I feel very lucky to have met her, and now every time I look down at my rings, I smile knowing that someone with such tenacity and flair created, what are, the most important jewellery of my life. 5 stars aren't enough to rate Tawny and her work. I highly recommend her - she's one in a million.
