We were searching for a gold bracelet as a birthday present for my wife. John greeted us and after describing the kind of design she was interested in, brought a range of suitable bracelets. John was very attentive and there was no sales pressure. We left to look at options in other shops but had settled on the one in Dipples, returned and went through with the purchase. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with Dipples and particularly John, we can thoroughly recommend both; attentive and patient customer service.

After just planning on checking the window display stock one afternoon on the search for a potential engagement ring, John Pearce asked me if he could help and ended up suggesting a bespoke service to cater to my particular taste (not a diamond girl at all, so I was hard set on a delicate moonstone ring) and that would hopefully fit our fairly low budget. He gave me his card and I emailed him the cheap ring I’d bought for the time being and another example I’d seen for references. A few days later, he came back with an example of something similar their suppliers had made before with a moonstone for me to see and prices for the different metal options. Many questions later and we decided to go with the 9ct White Gold version of that ring and was cheaper than the Sterling Silver ring I’d been set on from an online jewellers, but on the fence about the metal! My fiancé and I went in to get my finger sized and sort the payment, and while we waited to see John, I spotted the almost exact replica of the ring I was going to buy my fiancé from Etsy - same design (until we looked closer it had some extra detail), same metal, same price!! So we ended up ordering that as well! John answered all my many questions, always patient and happy to assist. He put no pressure on me for a sale and has a very pleasant and calm manner. I am so thankful for all the effort he has put in to helping me find my perfect ring and I cannot wait to see it when it is done (and nervous too, since I’m sort of going in partially blind!!!). You are a credit to Dipples and if you hadn’t been outside while my father and I were scouring the windows, I may still have been debating and worrying! So thank you so much for the wonderful customer service! Nothing was too much trouble and you were both friendly and perfectly professional.

Very positive experience dealing with Dipples. Bought a MARQ Athlete watch and they arranged for a different (non-standard) strap which I preferred the look of. Very helpful and was nice that I could try watch and compare with others. I may have been able to get a better deal online but I wouldn't have received the same level of service. It's also very helpful to know that should anything go wrong I can just pop into the store and know they would sort it out for me.

We found John to be very knowledgable and helpful when we went in to look at wedding rings. His advice was excellent and lead to us purchasing our wedding rings with Dipples, and it was clear he had lots of knowledge about the different styles of bands we could go for and what ones worked best with my engagement ring. Thanks to his advice we picked two lovely wedding bands, and an idea of what sort eternity ring I will go for in the future to fit with the other two rings. We have always found the staff very courteous, friendly and knowledgeable and would always recommend popping in as they are also very competitive on price as well as being an excellent example of a local and friendly Jewellers.

A lovely shop, and not at all snooty or threatening like another nearby watch shop, although I could find no evidence of the Omega watches for which I was looking. Still, I have bought a watch here before, when I found both shop and staff quite delightful.

My husband wanted to buy a gold chain as I can no longer wear my wedding ring on my finger. John showed a very good eye as we chose one of the first 3 chains he brought out, even getting the length right for me. He was then very helpful offering valuation services if needed and suggesting we could have the ring polished to match the chain even better. We returned the next day for this to be done and the ring and chain do indeed match even better now and we are delighted. We cannot recommend the service and overall experience highly enough.

I purchased an engagement ring for my partner from Dipples in July 2021. During the process, I received fantastic support from John. Firstly, he called in advance of our in-person appointment to get a sense of what style of ring I was after and the desired price range. During our appointment, he presented a wide range of options, taking time to let me view the rings and demonstrating vast knowledge in outlining their characteristics and differences. In the end, John contacted a manufacturer of a style I had liked to see if it could be made in platinum and with the quality/cut of diamond I desired, and was able to get this arranged ahead of the date I was intending to propose. As I did not know my partner’s ring size, John and the team were able to get it resized promptly and my fiancée is now incredibly happy with the ring. I would highly recommend Dipples for anyone seeking to purchase an engagement ring, due to the great support and knowledgeable customer service that was epitomised by John, the wide range of options, the desire to go above and beyond, and to be able to support an independent, local business.

It has taken us the best part of 12 months to decide upon the right choice of mantle clock. This is because we called in December 2017 and fell in love with the most divine chiming clock. Great independent jewellers in the heart of the old jewellery quarter in Norwich. Ive shopped here several times now in the last couple of years and can say the service is always on point. Staff always very attentive and nobody as I’ve observed today goes unnoticed by the staff upon entering the store. I bought a stunning Rado watch last Christmas for my wife and was looked after on that occasion by John who I understand has been working here for a number of years. I returned again today to make multiple purchases again for my wife’s upcoming birthday. Again i was looked after by john whose politeness and professionalism were as before well on point.i was also offered a free gift wrapping service which I happily took up as it’s one job i loath. It’s my now go to jewellers in Norwich plus they have one of the best watch collections i think I’ve ever seen at an independent jewellers. Highly recommend these guys and if you are looked after by John he’s a great chap and a pleasure to do business with.
