If I could I would give them 10 stars. I needed a bespoke engagement ring made with an heirloom stone at relatively short notice before I went travelling and Max worked tirelessly with me to make sure we could design and make the ring on time, to an excellent quality, and incorporating all the design features I wanted. She loved it. An excellent service!

The staff at Payne & Son are beyond professional & helpful! Having broken a golden necklace gifted to me by my mum (which was originally hers), I was looking to get it fixed. I went to a different jeweller in Oxford to begin with who quoted me £45 for the fix, as well as a 2 week wait. I then came across Payne & Son so I thought I'd pop in to compare prices for the fix. The gentleman who had a look at my necklace, suggested to swap out the weak chain-link (which was broken) for another stronger one which would prevent it from snapping again. He said he could get it done right now as it would only take a couple of minutes, as there was no need for soldering. It was also free of charge which I thought was very kind of him. I was very happy to have come across them, and whilst we waited, we had a look at their gorgeous selection of jewellery!! Thank you to that gentleman!!

Fantastic service from Andrew and his team at this traditional style jewellers, They were the "Repair Shop" I needed to fix a sentimental gold necklace, I picked it up was charged half of what I was quoted and couldn't see the fix. Fabulous place and far better than the soulless high street chains (excuse the pun) I will definitely check this place first in future.

Highly recommended for jewellery repairs. I needed a minor repair to a necklace and came here on the basis of the other positive Google reviews, which are absolutely spot on. The repair was done within a couple of hours for an extremely reasonable cost. I received the same level of courteous, helpful service that I would have done if I'd been buying an expensive piece of jewellery. I will definitely be coming here again.

Excellent service, wealth of knowledge and a jewellers that you can really trust. Have used these for years as my Mother did before me and have always been utterly thrilled with the results of any resizing and fixes. They are wonderful! The collection of jewellery that they have is beautiful and of great quality.

By far the best jewellers in oxford - as well as having truly beautiful pieces on display, their staff are extremely knowledgeable and not pushy in the slightest. I felt completely at ease browsing and asking questions, even though I was in there for quite a while, and anything I asked was readily answered with the enthusiasm of someone who enjoys what they do. Normally I'd feel a bit intimidated in a shop that sells very expensive products, like I was wasting their time, but not here.

Lovely shop, nice jewellery and very friendly staff. My friend was getting married in the town hall around the corner and had a wedding ring emergency and we went to Andrew for help and he went above and beyond to solve our problems so that the wedding could go ahead and he wouldn't even accept any money for what he did. Such kindness. We really appreciated his help and highly recommend anyone to pop in the shop to take a look around!

Very helpful and friendly. Went in with a chain link broken although it was tiny they managed to work their magic. They advised me of the price which I was very happy with so offered to pay a little more for such great service at which point they advised it would be being given to charity anyway. Says on Google it's open until 4pm on a Sunday. Just drove here from London to pick up an item, paid a fortune to park, walked all the way to the store to find out they aren't open at all on a Sunday. May be worth updating that 😕. I've given 3* though because I've met them before and the staff were lovely. 5* for staff and service. 1* for lack of correct information on Google. I know mistakes happen but this day and age where people don't have time and money to waste it is very disappointing to experience this. I'll update the review once my business has been completed. *** Business complete. Work satisfactory. Nothing else to note. ***
