My mother had a beautiful bespoke necklace made for me by the jewellers at Taylors as a gift which combines 3 sentimental parts of jewellery all joined together in one beautiful pendant. I accidently damaged my blue zircon from my engagement ring and it has now been beautifully placed in a pendant that I can wear safely everyday. I am lost for words and am honestly so pleased with this piece. Thank you so much. My mother has said that the staff here are always so friendly and provide fantastic customer service whenever she has been in and has been a happy customer for many years. - Natalie

These guys recently altered a bespoke brooch to become a beautiful pendant. The brooch has great sentimental value, they obviously care a great deal about performing quality work. To Cavern “thank you very much” and to the wonderful lady who did the alteration “mange tak”. My wife thinks it is so beautiful.

I made the mistake of buying my engagement ring from H Samuel and getting it re rodium played by them. They destroyed it and made the band really thin. To cut a long story short, I went into R H Taylor to try and get my engagement ring fixed. It was not possible to do this as the quality of the ring from H Samuel was rubbish. So they made me an identical ring to my engagement ring and they used the stones out of my engagement ring to go in the new ring. I have just collected it and "OMG" I am over the moon. It looks like my original ring but it thicker, stones are set better and I know this one will last for years. I never dreamt it would look thus good. I cannot thank Cavern enough for making me my dream ring. It still has the sentimental value from when my fiancé proposed as the same stones are set into my new ring. I will always use R H Taylor Jewellers and recommend them to everyone

Went in at 3pm on a Friday with my new engagement ring that I'd received the day before which was sadly a bit too big. I assumed I'd have to wait at least a week and it would be very expensive.. I couldn't have been more wrong. We were told to come back at 3:55pm (5 minutes before closing time) to collect the ring. The price was so much cheaper than I expected and you can't even tell anything has been done to the ring, except now it fits! Absolutely over the moon with the service and the kindness, I will never take jewellery anywhere else and will recommend to everyone I know. Thank you so much!

I can't recommend these lovely people enough. They fixed my late father's ring at a very very good price. The ring looks like new and would t know they had repaired it. As for the staff I couldn't have asked for kinder, more caring people to look after my dad's ring. Amazing work! My diamond fell out of my engagement ring,i was devastated as you can imagine. I took it in and the guy was so lovely and said no problem we can fix it, it needed to be completly reset. I picked it up today and its perfect and its been cleaned,it just looks brand new again. 100% would recommend taylors very very reasonable too xx

I needed a ring resized. The quote was reasonable and unlike most other places in town they did the resizing on site meaning it was ready within a week. Can't fault the work done and speed of service- I would recommend and reuse them if I needed similar work done again.

Absolutely amazing service. I popped in to get a necklace repaired earlier this week, and not only did they do it there and then in under a minute, they wouldn't charge me for it! (Despite a high street chain quoting at least £30 and a two to three week wait!) Will definitely be recommending this business to all my family and friends! Since having my necklace fixed a year ago, I have since returned to RH Taylor to have a black diamond set into my engagement ring (a job I wasn't sure was even possible, due to the original setting and the size difference of the diamonds). As usual, we were met with a friendly smile and a thoroughly detailed explanation of the work that would be undertaken. The work done on the ring is incredible - you wouldn't even know that it wasn't the original setting! Thank you so much!

We were quoted £375 at a well known high street jeweller to enlarge my wife's wedding ring. We have just picked it up at Taylor and paid £35 for the exact same work. Pleasant helpful people who don't charge extortionate amounts for 1st class work. Left another ring to be altered and no doubt we will be back again in the future.

We visited R H Taylor to see if they would be able to create a replacement bracelet of very intricate design from a single link that was left. We received an incredibly warm welcome, a detailed talk through for the design as well as the time-frame for completing the works. Not only did the finished article exceed all expectations and look identical to the original, but it was completed quicker than advised as well as coming in under budget! We would definitely recommend R H Taylor to undertake any work and have done so to our friends and family. We have since approached the Jeweller to create a pair of bespoke wedding rings for ourselves. Top service!

I was hoping to have a pair of earrings made for my daughter to wear on her wedding day crafted using gold from some existing family wedding rings. I had tried many jewellers in York without success before someone directed me to R H Taylor. What a fantastic business!! Quite simply the best jewellers there is! We cannot praise the level of workmanship and quality enough. My wife and I have had two bespoke rings made for each other from sentimental items we already owned but were gathering dust in a drawer. We gave the guys a blank canvas and the designs they came up with captured our tastes perfectly. The rings were amazing and will be worn with pride!

My engagement ring is right back where it belongs now. At the start of lockdown I noticed a small crack in it. Terrified I'd do more damage by wearing it I put it on a necklace. I had messaged another jeweler but got no reply (and still haven't). Within ½hr R H Taylor got back to me. They have done various repairs for me in the past and are always very helpful, work is excellent and reasonably priced. They made a beautiful bracelet for my daughter from various old pieces of gold jewellery that were broken or unused. I recently took in some sentimental items for repair. They have little value and other jewellers simply wouldn't do the work, Taylor's didn't question the reasons but advised the most cost effective way to repair. Top marks for customer care.

Wonderful customer service and great quality work. Needed a ring resizing as nowhere local was able to on site and I was worried about sending it away, but here they resized it instore for us there and then. Called In for first time today to get a ring which I'd caught I'm a door reshaped . I expected to have to leave it and call back . The guy took it and reshaped it there and then and wouldn't take payment for it . Yes only took two minutes but wow what a service . Wouldn't get others doing that
