Couldn’t recommend CRDN enough! We knew as soon as we viewed it that this was the nursery for us. My son has been here for a few months now and has settled in so well, always has a great time and has developed loads. The staff are all so lovely, caring and professional and put my mind at ease straight away when he was settling in. I love the detailed daily updates we get and also the posts they do on their social media pages! Thank you for taking such good care of him!

I am very happy with the care and support we receive from CRDN. The staff are warm and friendly and the daily updates I receive show that my little boy is having lots of fun at nursery. I am confident that the staff know him well and genuinely care about his happiness and development. I would highly recommend.

I have worked at the nursery for over 7 years and have seen and experienced positive changes since Mel and Philippa have taken over.
The children and parents are happy, the staff are much happier and it shows in the low staff turnover, as well as the enticing and exciting activities that are planned daily.
The children and families are always put first by management who have an open door policy for whenever parents or staff would like to chat, and two senior room leaders who are based within our nursery rooms.
We have recently had an amazing make over in the last year, which the staff, parents and children have embraced. It has been amazing to watch the children explore in New and exciting ways and having new resources for us as staff members to support each and every child's learning and development. I highly recommend Canterbury Road Day Nursery to prospective parents and staff.

My son goes to this nursery. As a teacher and previously, a nursery nurse, I was very particular about which nursery to choose. From the moment we walked in the staff were friendly and caring, all interacting with my son as we toured the nursery. As he was only 9 months old when he started at nursery, the caring approach was very important to me. The environment is stimulating and child friendly, the staff are consistently reflecting on practice and making improvements. The new changes to the baby room are great, really engaging for the babies. Facilities within the nursery are fantastic with a soft play area and sensory room and an amazing outdoor learning area. Parental partnership is very strong with great communication.
My son absolutely loves going to Canterbury Road and I couldn't recommend it highly enough.
Thank you to the fab team!

My twin boys have been at this nursery since they were 8 months old. I was very anxious about them going to nursery so young, but they settled in quickly thanks to the lovely staff in the baby room, who made them and us feel completely at ease. The moves from one room to the next are done very gradually, so when the children finally move up for good they know the room, the staff and the other children completely. There is a massive range of fantastic resources throughout nursery and the activities are varied and structured every single day, so that the children do not get bored. There is also a fabulous, good sized garden with separate areas for the older and younger ones, with lots of toys, bikes, scooters etc to keep them occupied. My boys have thoroughly enjoyed their time at Canterbury Road Day Nursery. All of the staff from Room Leaders, to Kitchen staff to Apprentices, are extremely professional, highly trained and very kind and caring, and Managers Mel and Philippa are very professional and knowledgeable. I find there is a very personal touch that you just would not get from a nursery belonging to one of the large nursery groups, and I highly recommend it here.

My daughter has been attending this nursery for nearly a year and absolutely loves it. The staff are absolutely amazing with her and are always helpful. I have a daily report on how she has been and what she has been up to. They have really helped with her developmental and Identifying the areas she is doing well in and challenging her to make sure she is always learning and progressing. The management team always have time for any questions or queries that I have, no matter how big or small they are.

Canterbury Road Day Nursery has had an amazing overhaul in the last year. I have worked at the nursery for over 6 years and have seen and experienced the way that is changed since Mel and Philippa have taken over.
The children and parents are happy, the staff are much happier and it shows in the low staff turnover, as there are staff that have been employed by the nursery a lot longer than I have!
The children and families are always put first by the management team who have an open door policy for whenever parents would like a chat, and two senior room leaders who are permanently based on the nursery floor.
There are also lots of opportunities for continuous professional development for any early years practitioners who wish to apply to Canterbury Road Day Nursery.

My daughter went here for 2 years and loved it. She can be shy but her confidence has grown so much. She made loads of new friends with the children and grown ups. The staff are very imaginative and creative in the way they teach and play with the children. My daughter has been very well prepared for starting school. My son has recently started at the nursery and is settling in really well. He is really starting to enjoy it now and his development is progressing daily. The staff are very caring and I feel as a parent I have a good relationship with the nursery as well as my children.

In 2015, after visiting 10 nurseries for our daughter we chose Canterbury Rd Day Nursery and we were very happy with our decision.
The rooms, staff, play areas and management were and are excellent. Each day you receive a 'report' of what your child has done and now there is the online portal Capture where you see pictures and updates about your child plus you can upload your own too.
There are 2 cooks that deliver healthy and varied meals with seasonal changes. There are regular events held at the nursery or local hall and parents evening twice a year.
My daughter loved it there and now so does my son. If you are looking for a nursery for your child then I would highly recommend choosing Canterbury Rd.

A friendly, helpful and caring environment where staff genuinely want the best for your child.
My son has attended this nursery since he was 11 months old, he has recently just turned 3. We cannot fault a single member of staff within the nursery for anything. Nothing is too much of an ask for them. They continuously go above and beyond to ensure my child’s needs are met. Management aren’t just people who sit in an office (as mentioned by another review), they make sure that all of the children are cared for and supported well. They’re also there for the parents too!
The gardens are great spaces for the children to play and learn. Each room has recently been ‘renovated’ to support sensory learning for the children. Meals are always healthy, varied and well enjoyed. Support for S.E.N is also very good here.
We’re grateful for all of the staff at CRDN for everything they do for our son. We have even decided to keep him here until his reception year at school.
I would ignore any negative reviews if you’re considering putting your child in this nursery and go there yourself for a visit to make your own decisions.
