T. W.This nursery has a lovely home from home feel to it, and all the staff and children are lovely. My daughter has been coming since she was a baby and I feel at peace knowing that she is being taken care of by such lovely individuals. Highly recommend!
K. P.Our daughter attended Highfield Nursery and we all loved it. The setting and the staff are incredible – they have truly created a home away from home. We were always greeted by the same friendly staff members and they were all professional, caring and very supportive of our daughters needs. I loved the family style setting with home cooked meals and a lovely garden. I cannot recommend this nursery enough.

The Nursery is just like an extended family with lovely facilities and such a fabulous garden space. A. D.Our son has been with Highfield Nursery School and had loved every day there. The nursery is a home away from home and the children are treated like family. As parents, we think it is most important that we completely trust our child's carer, to know our child is safe and is receiving the best foundation that they can through carefully planned activities and play. It has been wonderful to see our child grow in skills and confidence since he's joined the nursery. Lynette and Alec have particularly been marvelous in the way they've handled safeguarding since coronavirus. We've not had any concerns about sending our child back. The intricate planning and co-working with parents made us truly feel involved in shaping decisions that involves our child. We totally recommend the nursery. You wouldn't need to think twice :)
A. S.Both our daughter and our son had a wonderful time at the Highfield Nursery School. It truly is a home from home. Our son was only 4 months old when he started but it was always clear that not only was he looked after perfectly fine, he had a great time, too! I love that he could spend time with his older sister who would drop in and out of his room as she pleased - just like a family! Lynette went more than above and beyond what I would expect from a nursery, stepping in at the most inconvenient time of the year (Christmas Night!) to help us out when we needed help most. I also love the combination of freedom and manners, the optimism and the twinkle in the eye!

The nursery's philosophy puts caring and the wellbeing of the child squarely first. The "family" dynamic really shows.

J. B.Our 3 girls attended Highfield Nursery School from when they were babies to just before attending school. We chose this setting because it is a home from home, all nursery staff get to know all the children well, and will adapt to the needs of the child. All our girls loved going to nursery, all the activities available, the sensory shed, the art room and the lovely outdoor space with plenty of variety of things to play with. On picking up we would often see them having their afternoon tea snack 'all fresco' in fine weather, having a wonderful social time with friends. Our whole family look back on the nursery years very fondly, our youngest just about to start school. The staff gave them all the best start and independence they need for settling in to school. Can highly recommend.
T. A.All three of our children attended Highfield Nursery School stretching over 10 years. It is an exceptional place, well run with a home from home atmosphere. The children still talk very fondly of their time there and all the wonderful staff who cared for them over the years. They always seemed to strike the right balance between care and stimulation, allowing the children to play outside in the beautiful gardens, art room or sensory shed (still remembered with great fondness and laughter by my 11 year old son.) Well done.

The setting is really nice, with a large safe garden, and lots of space in the house.

K. M.A very nurturing and personal approach to nursery care. My son attended from 1year old until he had to leave to start school. I had complete confidence that my child's need were met to an exceptional standard. From the moment we looked around, where the staff greated him and introduced him to the other children as their ' new friend ' there was always the emphasis on the relationships that the children made with each other and the adults that cared for them. My son had a real love for the staff and holds many fond memories of his days at Witherswood / Highfield. You may not be able to ask your preverbal child what they think of nursery, and be filled with worry leaving them for the first time, but you can certainly tell how they feel about it, when their eyes light up at seeing the staff, they laugh and play with their friends and they're so engrossed and happy with what they're doing that they barely notice you arrive to collect them at the end of the day!

They have always been very professional and courteous providing an excellent service for both the parents and the children.
B. F.Highfield Nursery School is very well established and after my child under achieving and having low self esteem I moved my child from another nursery to HNS. The strategy was always, your child needs to be happy and then they'll learn. The staff at HNS enabled my child to overcome his problems and to make deep and lasting changes. My son now has the learning experience he deserves and HNS immediately saw the bigger picture and got him ready for school not only academically but emotionally too, I cannot recommend HNS highly enough.
