We hired a house near by for a recent family birthday and asked Poppy’s if they could supply a takeaway Sunday roast for 14. They agreed and what we picked up was fantastic. The quality of the food, the choice of vegetables and the quantities we marvellous. What was supplied had a wow factor and everyone who ate commented on this. We can’t stress how nice the staff were and how helpful everyone was. We fully recommend Poppy’s

Huge selection of garden products. Highly recommended supplier or fruit trees and bushes. Extensive fruit, veg and flower seed collection. Cafe is so posh, my group had smol cakes on top of their cakes. Seriously tho, nice food, good selection.

The team at Newmans provide excellent, friendly service, and there's always a wide variety of plants and products to choose from. The whole family enjoys a visit whatever time of year. We have transformed our garden with help from Newmans, their support through Covid was superb, and very much appreciated. Great local business.

Has been a reliable garden nursery for years. Good assortment of healthy plants at sensible prices. Staff knowledgeable & very helpful. Good cafe there too, serves lunches till about 2.30 or later if you're desperate! Hot & cold drinks till centre closes. Staff again very pleasant.

An excellent choice of quality plants and gardening supplies. The highlight is the indoor "Poppy's Cafe". Clean, very friendly and reasonable with a brilliant menu. Eight of us booked a table for my grandson's birthday (at his demand!). The full breakfast is wonderful, and I once had the double full breakfast, pure indulgence. My wife chose the fish finger sandwich as it reminded her of her childhood... we all laughed. There must have been six, or maybe eight, fish fingers between the bread, along with the salad. She disgraced herself by eating the lot! Good place to meet for an excellent coffee or pot of tea.

Lovely little garden centre, tucked away location, good size car park, plants all really healthy, excellent range of seeds, tropical fish section, pets section, and some lovely gifts too. Good selection of both bedding plants and shrubs, etc. And the Sunday lunch in the restaurant was delicious, will definitely go back again, busy restaurant so an idea to book ahead.

Allowing for the shortages of certain items due to the holiday period, the food was fresh and plentiful. The staff were very helpful and COVID rules applied for the safety of all.

Quote a small garden centre but it has pretty much everything you need. The staff are helpful and friendly. They used to sell rabbits and Guinea pigs and gerbils, etc, but when I was there last week there was only a pair of Guinea pigs. Quite a bit of fish related stuff as well, though I don't know how good that is because I don't have fish. The cafe is really good - I know lots of people who go there just to go to the cafe! Highly recommended for a visit.

Been for food at Poppy's cafe a couple of times, as a veggie there are good options for me. The food is nice, the portion size is generous and the staff are nice. The garden centre itself is big and has everything that you'd expect too.

This is a good place to look for good quality plants and other garden products. It also sells fish and associated items. They do sell other things for the home to. The cafe does snacks and drinks. A nice place to visit on a rainy or dry day.

Good independent garden centre with an attach cafe restaurant (Poppies) to the rear of the building. Nursery is well stocked with plants at reasonable prices. Newmans also has a good range of tools and garden furniture. Plenty of parking on a level site suitable for wheelchairs. Poppies offers great good with outdoor and indoor tables.

Poppies Cafe at Newman's Garden Centre is a little hidden gem at the back of Aberystwyth - The food is beautifully home cooked with very generous portions - staff are friendly and helpful and all at very reasonable prices but take my advice and book before attending.
