Ordered twice so far and will definitely be ordering more :) First we’ve ordered play sand and it was delivered laate by few days but I’ve rang them and spoke to helpful staff. Was able to sort everything out and the driver was very friendly. Then ordered some white stones for the garden and they came on time and was really lovely thank you!

To be honest i thought I'd made a boo boo when i read some of the reviews but i can honestly say the guys were great. One was on his first day and was training and the other guy was showing the best way to unload my top soil. They asked where i wanted it putting and took it down my drive. Top guys and thank you. Fantastic service. My stones arrived the day after I had requested but the delivery man was lovely and even managed to pull it in to my garden so it was safe, as I am ill at the moment and couldn't get the work done straight away. I would have given it 5 stars if there were updates on delivery. An email or text on delivery day would be great for people who don't want to have to wait in all day especially if delivery days are delayed.

Ordering a bulk bag of cotswold gravel on the website was quick and easy. It was delivered a day early too. The quality is the same my last lot from a different supplier, but 25% cheaper. The delivery driver put it within a cm of where I wanted it. Great product, great price, great service. I will be using them from now on.

Ordered 850kg golden 20mm gravel and very happy with the result! Bear in mind as it says on their website they need enough space for access to deliver the gravel exactly where you want it, otherwise they need to leave it kerbside, which wasn't a problem for me. The gravel will be dusty when it first arrives, so will look grey, but this washes off easily with rain or a hose and it looks great after. Only suggestion for improvement would be to improve the communication confirming delivery date or an order tracking system, as my order arrived a day later than planned - but it was placed on a bank holiday weekend, so I imagine they had some catching up to do. (Note purchased gravel is in the top section of the picture, the bottom of the picture is older smaller gravel)

Once arrived it looks exactly as it should, very happy. Just a shame bag wasn’t bigger, I really needed 1 ton …

Have ordered from Gravel Master 3 times because of the competitive pricing. 1st last year end of 1st lockdown Cotswold chippings -the order never showed up. Very difficult to track. Cancelled order but tried again a few months later. Good product and nil issues second time. 3rd time recently - ordered the Scottish pebbles - lovely product and arrived just as planned. 3 stars to equate the terrible 1st experience with the good latter experiences.

I would first like to congratulate gravel master on their web site, giving the perception that I was dealing with a professional company, providing a first class service; unfortunately the reality is a different matter. As the order of two 850kg bags of ornamental stone was passed on to a third party for delivery that operate as a parcel delivery service. Day one, the driver arrives with a curtain sided delivery truck, I explain where the bags are to be placed, and await with excitement ready to receive the stones that would complete my garden feature; after twenty minutes had passed I was surprised to realize that the driver and delivery truck had vanished, I contacted gravel master and they also confirmed that the driver and truck had indeed vanished and could not be traced. Day two, initially gravel master requested that I make a decision, cancel the order for which they would kindly charge me £50, have the order delivered to a different address of my choice, or have the bags delivered on the road outside the front of my house. Day three, delivery has been arranged for today between 8am and 6pm, no tracking is available so I wait with baited breath in anticipation. Delivery arrived around 3pm, the driver was very polite and helpful, positioning the two palleted bags into the best possible position. I am very pleased with the product of black basalt chips, which are as described. All is well that ends well.

We’ve had 5 deliveries of Cotswold chippings over the last couple of weeks. Jess and Holly in customer service are great. Had a couple of issues with stone colour and a delivery BUT Jess and Holly sorted it out, kept us updated and always did what they said they would do. A big thank you to both of them. Stones are of a good quality and look great. Drivers have been great when delivering . Even put the stones straight into the garage. Would recommended and use again.

Amazing service from beginning to end! The ordering and payment service was easy to navigate online and the costing was a lot cheaper than most. Confirmation email to advise date of delivery was immediate, followed by other emails of the transportation situation of my goods. The driver arrived exactly when due and was so polite and friendly and placed my order where I asked on my driveway whilst adhering to Covid distances. My order was exactly as pictured… 20mm cotswold stone chippings and look amazing at the end of my garden surrounding my newly laid grass circle. Edit: Had to use gravelmaster again as they were the only place I could get the same stone from. This time around it arrived a day early within 4 days of ordering so can only assume they were having supply issues previously. Supposed to of been delivered today, Had the day off and had landscaping company here waiting to crack on. No delivery, no email or phone call to say it's not being delivered today? First, don't believe the 'free next day delivery'. Only when you go into the order do you find out you have to pay unless you want it next week. I fell for this but needed the stones so paid for two days out - there was no time slot for the nest day. I wrote to them to say they should update their website but no reply. On the day the stones were due to be delivered I received an email with lost of 'rest assured' comments, and 'no need to call' , but the bottom line is it won't be delivered until next week. ** Update ** The stone was actually delivered the next day as originally ordered. However, I have only upgraded from a 1 start to a 3 star as their customer service didn't reply, sent a email which caused me to scramble to try to find alternatives and caused a day of stress. The product was as promised, apart from a 4 broken and almost empty bags on the bottom row.

This is a review of the company, not the delivery service. I ordered cotswold chippings 20mm. 3 x bulk bags over 2 delivery dates. The first order of 2 bulk bags arrived a day early. The company did send regular email updates on when this was going to happen. I don't understand if it's the courier or the company causing the early delivery. Not an issue for me in this case, but I can see if you were not there for delivery, could be difficult. The third bag arrived on time with all the same regular updates. Pallets were reasonable quality, they got the stone where it needed to go. Quality of stone was spot on. Well graded and sorted. Yes there is some dust, but that is expected. Given my experience, I don't understand the bad reviews, I can only presume they had staff difficultys in the lock down just like the rest of the country. If the delivery date was spot on it would have been 5 stars, but I can't fault the service I received.

Update: I have been advised this particular delivery contained more dust residue than normal and have been offered a gesture of goodwill. The stones after washing are OK so I have updated the rating accordingly. Ordered a bulk bag of the Polar White 20mm chippings, delivery was smooth with good tracking info, however the stones were mixed with sand/mud. Had to spend 2 days washing and rinsing the stones, and ended up with around 80kg of muddy sand.... very disappointing.

The first picture is all I have of our first delivery, unfortunately we ran out of gravel so had to order some more, which I might add was lovely dove grey gravel. The rest of the pictures are our second delivery because we didn’t have enough but this bulk bag of gravel was full of sand as you can see, all the first delivery is underneath the Sandy gravel which will take a while to be washed off. We ordered this on line with a 2 week wait, the tracking email went into my Junk email folder luckily I spotted this and followed the delivery on line , this was delivered at 5.50pm and the time on delivery was between 8am -6pm so this was well within the time. Photo`s of what we used the play bark for as we have a Son who has Epilepsy, so we needed to make the area safe as well as looking nice.

I ordered 4 bulk bags of Panda Gravel from Gravel Master, the order was processed quickly and a delivery date set. I had confirmation day before delivery that it was despatched with tracking details. It was delivered a day late by The Pallet Network's company/affiliate TWE Haulage (late delivery worked out better for me - needed some time to get the gravel grids down). The delivery driver rang in advance of arriving and as I was working in the front garden I waved him down when he arrived close by. The pallets took a while to offload they were placed the wrong way round for the pump-truck to pickup and pull out with. The driver placed the pallets where I requested so overall a professional service from both Gravel Master and TPN. Would recommend Gravel Master, TPN and TWE Haulage for their services!

Amazing service. Ordered Sunday, recieved Wednesday. 20kg bags where out of stock for a long time but worth waiting as the Cotswold Chippings are the nicest we've found. Other brands look dirty in comparision so we couldn't mix.

However we ordered the black gravel based off the colours in the photographs, but when its arrived it’s dark grey in colour when wet/damp, but dries a very very light grey which isn’t what we wanted. Bit unfair to be sold as ‘black basalt’ as it’s not the colour it is.

I Ordered Cotswold Stone best bargin online, I was very pleased with the service, and delivery, I was not in when the stone was delivered but my neighbour asked the delivery driver to put the pallet high up on my drive. When i arrived home the gravel was where i wanted it, it had arrived a day early, I had paid for a Saturday delivery and i called Gravelmaster on the Monday to enquire about this, I was instantly told that the delivery charge would be refunded in 3 days, it was back in my bank within 2 Days, there was no rubbish in the gravel and it was all of a nice size and uniform colour, Brilliant service from Gravel Master i will be ordering again.

Website very well designed and easy to use to order products, but the communication between ordering and delivery is shockingly bad. The selected delivery date had come and gone, and I tried many times to contact customer services, would sit in the queue for 20 minutes, then get to the front of the queue, the phone would ring and was never answered, and I'd have to hang up. (FYI I found it more useful to email the logistics manager directly). The gravel turned up a few weeks after the selected date, and that was all great, the driver phoned to ask where to leave it, and the correct gravel was delivered. So in summary, ordering - good, delivery - good, product - good, but they really need to improve the communication with customers waiting for orders.

Placed order on Tuesday over the phone and had my delivery on Friday as agreed, we weren't home but the delivery guys left 3 palets of soil in best place possible on our driveway. -i was sceptical after reading some reviews but best way is to call and speak to them beforehand to avoid any issues. Ordered a few times from here, bark, moonstone gravel and cotswold chippings. All have been competitively priced and delivered on the date specified. No issues with products. My only issue is with the delivery method, a guy manoeuvring 850kg bags off a truck with a pump truck... Crazy. Pallets broke on one delivery and it was left on the road. Just weird, I was expecting a grabber! If you have a gravelled drive they'll be leaving it on the pavement. But my drive looks amazing, the moonstone is stunning. Would use again definitely.

If I had read the many negative reviews for Gravel Master perhaps I would not have proceeded with the order. However I did not and I am very happy that I did not. I identified the product I wanted from the selection offered. Using their calculator and my measurements it suggested that I needed 1.1 bags so I ordered 1. I gave myself a few days to do some preparatory work and selected a delivery date. Confirmation of the order was received and details given to state that the delivery would be by tailgate and pump truck and not by crane. 2 days before the delivery date I received an email advising that the consignment was going to the local depot. The following day I received an email to state that the consignment would be delivered the following day. Sure enough the wagon arrived bright and early. The driver was very pleasant and quickly placed the pallet where I requested. Over the next 2 days I transferred the soil to the location I had selected. The soil is great.

Staff at customer services were helpful when I asked when I could expect delivery but did not receive any notification from delivery people to advise when it was coming even though I was advised I would. Arrived at 4pm and lad was lovely but had real problems getting the stones onto drive as the pallets were so rickety they collapsed.

As I had received little communication before the delivery date and I was unsure when it was actually going to be delivered, I contacted Gravel Master and they responded very quickly confirming delivery. Gravelmaster offer very good value for money hence why we choose to use them. Online purchasing is very easy and the website is intuitive, they use good quality photos that show the product that you are purchasing, everything is displayed really well along with all facts and figures. Unfortunately, trying to communicate with Gravelmaster after placing the order is near on impossible, after 2 attempts of trying to get through on the phone and waiting over 15minutes I had to give up as I could no longer listen to the prerecorded message that my call was important to them. The product that I ordered was delivered on the correct day however I didn’t have a time slot and the online tracker didn’t work, this meant that I couldn’t plan my day and I had to stay in, at 1430hrs the item was delivered and placed on a pallet by a really nice bloke called Pete, again the quality of what I had ordered was to a high standard and I was pleased with it. Not everyone will have a set of scales handy however I took the opportunity to use the set out of the bathroom while the Mrs was out, after many bucket loads of clippings and a lot of time later I’m disappointed to say that I was short on what I ordered, by my own calculations we were short by over 50kg, now the scales could be out but I don’t think they are however it was clear to see that the original loading bag was damaged and another bag had been slipped over the original, it is possible to say that there might had been a problem during shipping and a bit of the product lost, nevertheless the job and project are complete .

I ordered some golden gravel from Gravelmaster. The delivery was promised for Thursday. I got a phone call the delivery was arriving at 1745. Big day for the delivery driver obviously. The young delivery driver arrived with the pallet of gravel on the pallet trolley at 1800 in total darkness. No lorry in sight. I live on an unadopted road and a parked car had obstructed the access for the lorry. The driver had gone above and beyond as he would have had to take the bag of gravel 600m by hand up the tarmacked road to deliver. Totally amazing service.

Everything was good! - except for the phone connections.......I waited over half an hour after pressing "2" for customer service to check on my order. So I tried again but pressing "1" for Sales. Very quick reply! - but then the lady told me I'd pressed the wrong button and immediately put me through to customer service. Nothing again after 10 minutes. So I went back to Sales - with an immediate response again - and the very nice young lady promised to look into it for me, which she did. Other than that - very good!

The delivery was running late but it arrived just before 6PM as I arrived home from work , the diver didn’t just dump it on the drive, he put it up against the wall, next to my garden gate which allowed both cars to still fit on the drive…. The stones themselves look great now that I’ve laid them around my patio, they have really finished the job off. Will definitely use Gravel master again.

I felt a little restricted on choice on where to get my Gravel from. The ordering process was easy enough and delivery came as expected. My only negative is they were delivered using a pump truck, I was expecting the bags to be lifted of the truck so I cut just cut the bags straight over the drive so some extra work for me. It also made access a little difficult for the driver which seems odd for this type of delivery. Nobody mentioned this delivery method to me despite mentioning this in my order. The gravel seems good quality and as seen on the website but I haven't got round to emptying the bags yet!

The product is first grade. Delivery not ideal; I couldn't track it for a time and it came on date but just before it got dark which gave me problems as I had permission to use a neighbours drive that day only. The tail lift and pallet truck method meant it was dropped just off the public pavement though I was impressed it got that far as it was a slope! The truck wheels left marks on the tarmac driveway so Ive got some apologising to do in the morning.

Have ordered twice from Gravel Master over the last few weeks. Very happy with the product (Dove Grey Derbyshire Peakstone), but their delivery company lets them down. Both orders delivered 1 day late which caused me a few problems. The first time, I just could not get through to customer services to find out where my order was. Email went unanswered. The second time I eventually got through and to be fair the agent was helpful and contacted the carrier to ensure that my delivery would be made, albeit 1 day late. To make matters worse, the carrier tried to deliver somebody else's order. It was only when I queried that the delivery didn't appear to be a bulk bag, but rather individual bags that the driver looked more carefully at the address and discovered that it was indeed not my order.

I’ve ordered from gravel master 3 times (same project but staggered delivery). The first delivery Didn’t arrive on the nominates day with no communication until I chased them. They then said it should be delivered within 3 working days, it arrived in the 3rd working day (not including sat/sun). I was aware that this may have been the chase when ordering from reading others reviews. I decided to order from here anyway as their product looked good and at a good price. The next 2 delivery’s has much better communication, informing me when my delivery would arrive. One arrived a day early, and one on the nominates day. For the quality and price of the product I am very happy.

I have twice ordered off Gravel Master and the first delivery was a 2 week wait. Upon delivery date chosen at checkout it didn’t arrive. It did however arrive 24hrs later than the date chosen at checkout. Product was of excellent quality and delivery driver was lovely and took the time to put the pallets where I asked. However I needed an extra bag of gravel and ordered this and it was next day delivery. It did not arrive next day but again 24 hours later hence why a star had been knocked off. Bear this in mind when ordering I think other reviewers also stated 24 hours later than the date picked at checkout. It wasn’t a problem for me however it may be a problem for people who have a busy lifestyle. The first delivery never updated me by email to say out for delivery but the second delivery did. Thanks Gravel Master you have competitive prices but maybe update your delivery tracking and give the number on tracking of who to contact in regards to deliveries .

I had booked Friday and Monday off work when there was no need. Don't rely on it turning up on time and it takes half hour yo get to speak to anyone on the phone. The stone was OK though.

Ordering online with Gravel Master was very easy and understandable. I was able to pick a delivery date that was convenient for me and was within a pretty decent time scale to the project I wanted to complete. Gravel master kept me informed every step of the way via email as to where my product was and what was happening with it. You can even have tracking information which shows you which depo's it has passed along on it's journey. Delivery day was overall very good. I was unsure as to when the delivery would arrived as it is an all day call but thankfully the delivery arrived by lunch time. The gentlemen who arrived was very polite and knowledgeable however we had some trouble getting the pump truck being used up the 2 kerbs into my property, fortunately I had some wood lying around to be able to get the pump truck over the kerbs. My products were dropped off where I asked them to be and on the day I requested. My overall experience with gravel master considering I had never used them or even heard of them before my order was very pleasant and I would definitely use them again and recommend to others looking for similar garden products.

I was going to knock off a star for the late arrival and difficulty getting through to customer services, but I am pleased with the product and the price paid, plus I have read many one star reviews, written in anger and frustration and wanted to redress the imbalance. The Irish sea cobbles are nice and rustic. The price I paid was far cheaper than anywhere else I looked. Now to create something with the two pallets I have left over from the delivery.

Bag had to be left on driveway entrance (using a pallet mover). This was OK but could have been difficult for anyone with a gravel drive - beware! It was 24 hours late, but I spoke to customer services who were very good and offered me my £15 back, I am still waiting for that to be processed. A bagged (x3) gravel order. From a customer view, the order was easy to place with a calculator on the website to convert area to cover into weight to order. Order arrived on scheduled date. Delivery driver was polite, helpful and had a 'can do' attitude and it was his last drop of the day. I felt for the driver. A pallet base was broken, the pump truck he was provided was not easy to get under that pallet base. The warehouse probably side loaded the trailer with the broken pallet using a thin bladed fork truck. The unload was a rear tail lift so a collapsed pallet was tricky to maneuver through 90 degrees to get the pump truck under a good piece of the base and keep it stable on the lift.

Delivered to Bridlington (a long way away from your depot) on time, on the right date and put in the right place for us to use. We realise its a naturally sourced product and that as a consequence - obtaining such items is fraught with problems so congratulations on your supply chain organisation which was 'bob-on' - hence 5* rating. This is a re-order as we wanted a match with what we ordered previously - in terms of shade of the aggregate - which we know can vary. The 1st order was a couple of days late but this wasn't too much of a problem and thankfully it restored our faith in on-line ordering and your business - which, considering some of the more adverse on-line reviews we read prior to ordering - seems to be out of kilter with d’actualité. The 2nd order was a few weeks apart from the 1st and was a tad more expensive but only by a few pounds so negligible really. I guess there'd been a price increase in the interim. Getting the product we wanted was immeasurably more important than the price, which regardless of the increase, was still competitive. Well done! What more could anyone ask for? We ordered some play bark and were given a date of 11th May, I was worried it wouldn't arrive on time given that I hadn't heard anything or been given a delivery time and having considered the reviews but it turned up today without any issue. As others have said, not the best service, but reasonably priced. -Delivery booked for Thursday 27th August 2020. Waited in all day. No show. No phone call. No apology. Just silence. Web site says open 8am to 8pm. Phoned at 7.20pm & got voicemail saying office shut at 5pm. - Phoned office Friday 28th August 2020 chasing delivery. They apologised, said there'd been a technical error resulting in the local depot not receiving my order. They promised delivery today. - Driver showed up mid morning (28th). Unfortunately, he hadn't brought the right equipment to place stones on the front lawn (as requested), so we agreed he should put them on the drive in front of the garage. My car is now blocked in until we shift them to the back garden. Despite the 3 star review, I will use them again as Travis Perkins no longer deliver to my postcode (why?) and the same volume of stones from B&Q is a rip-off.

There are delays currently affecting orders which is explained on the website. Essentially the date you pick may not be the day they come and instead you have to keep tabs on it’s tracking status. This is obviously a problem if you’re waiting for products to be used by contractors or if you need to take time off work to accept them… I personally wasn’t bothered when they turned up as I’m working from home thanks to Covid. The product is spot on and exactly as described. If you need to get your order at a specific time you’re best off calling them to make your order.

The delivery was exactly to date and the delivery driver could not have been more helpful and placed the pallet exactly where we wanted. There are some good size pieces of bark in the bag but there are also more small parts and bits of wood than I have had in previous supplies of this type of bark from elsewhere

After a little confusion over delivery dates and disappointment that my delivery would not be made in time, I was delighted to find they pulled out the stops and not only delivered my order on the date as promised but even managed to get it onto my drive which I was amazed at! Update: Order arrived just now, driver passed me walking the dogs, luckily I was nearby to take delivery. Full bag, chippings look fab. Thankyou, please work on your communications so as not to get the poor reviews, you don't deserve them, as the product is excellent value for money. 😉 ......... Placed order 9 days ago for a 48 hr delivery. No sight of order. No reply to email. Phones not being answered. I appreciate we are in different times but liaising with customers really does help. 🤔🤨☹

Unfortunately the lorry was too big to fit in our drive and we have a gravel drive which meant the pallet truck couldn't get in either. The driver was so patient and tried all he could to get the stones delivered safely. We got our delivery in the end. Massive thank you for trying so hard :-)

Price and quality of the topsoil were both excellent but delivery and customer service were a real problem. The tracking system wasn't updated and I had no idea when the pallet was going to be delivered. Unfortunately there is no way of contacting the local depot to check as they don't give out phone numbers and my call to the head office just rang for ages. It was only when the driver phoned to say he was 20 minutes away that I knew that the delivery was being made today. When it arrived, the driver was unhelpful. He couldn't put the pallet where I wanted it and had to leave it on the pavement outside my house. He also broke the pallet itself when unloading it, leaving jagged bits of wood. A delivery by crane would have been much easier.

Great price and great quality! Delivery took over 2 weeks despite the website initially stating it would take 2-3 days, but changed to 2 weeks once I’d added my products to the basket. My delivery was also then delivered one day later than the stipulated delivery date, obviously with the Covid 19 situation it is understandable that things will be delayed, but I had no contact from Gravel Master to advise the delivery would be delayed. I emailed and called and got no response, I ended up calling the delivery company they use who advised me my delivery would be arriving a day late, so for that and the inconvenience I’ve deducted one star. But the quality of the product can’t be faulted, neither can the price! Would certainly use them again!

Delivered a day later than arranged which meant I had to take two days off work to wait in for it. Wasn't kept updated by GM and I phoned up several times asking where delivery was after not hearing anything. I was put on hold for a long time listening to "mr sandman, bring me a dream" on repeat. When it did arrive the next day the delivery driver was nice and friendly and put the pallets where I wanted them. The delivery lorry was large.

The order process was pretty smooth. I enquired about delivery timescales, but didn't receive a response until the day of delivery, actually after the delivery. Also be aware that deliveries including bulk bags are palleted and will come via Palleyways, so not a crane truck, in case your wanting your bulk bag dropped somewhere 'off piste' that an ordinary pallet trolley can't reach.

Delivery was quick and came on the day it was scheduled. However, as the premises were unoccupied at the time of delivery and there was no advance opportunity to advise the delivery driver as to where to leave the 1 metre bag of gravel, it was left in the most awkward place available. There was an empty yard where it could have been dropped.

Great Service and great communication. Soil looks good. Unfortunately the delivery van was too large to get into our driveway (narrow road) and despite great efforts from the delivery driver (more than could be fairly expected) his palette truck got bogged down in the gravel and could not place the bag where I would have liked. A smaller truck with a crane arm would have been better. Nevertheless, the bag has been emptied and the soil moved into the bed.

Really pleased with the beach pebbles. Only gripe is that you don't advise that the delivery date is confirmed till on the actual day, and you don't get a delivery slot so I had to ring the pallet people to find out roughly when it was arriving. When you've taken a day off work etc, delivery date is important and should be confirmed earlier, then on the day a delivery slot should be advised.

Delivery was two days late. Spent over an hour trying to get through to someone to establish were my order was which was unsuccessfully. Live chat was unable to assist as they do not have access to the system overall extremely poor service.

I felt obliged to write a review of our experience given the recent negative reviews. We ordered an 850kg bag of Cotswold Chippings due to arrive 4th June. Having had little in the way of an update and reading lots of the recent google reviews, we started to get a little concerned. Fortunately, the chippings turned up around a week later than expected and slightly out of the blue (we checked the website which confirmed they were somewhere in transit but didn't have any direct update from customer services). I guess there have been issues with perhaps filling lots of orders with supply chain/transport issues and I think the company could save a lot of goodwill and future custom if their customer services improves. We will certainly consider ordering again but be aware the product may be slightly delayed! Can't fault the quality or quantity which was delivered though.
