GOOD HONEST SERVICE and top of the range products. We were able to make an informed choice with the guidance of Amar narrowing down our requirements. He spent the time to ensure we ended up with a lawnmower right for our garden and we are totally pleased with our purchase; Mountfield battery powered Lawnmower. Money well spent. It makes it easier to make a choice knowing that the best makes are what Gayways stock, so even the cheaper models are still a high quality item. And delivery was on time and they even took away our old machine. Although cheaper online it did pay to go to the shop and get the advice, as the item we thought we'd buy was not really suitable.

What a great store! I was totally undecided on which mower to purchase for the season and made multiple trips to Gayways shop for advise. I found the staff working here to be patient with me and providing invaluable industry advise. I purchased the Stiga 21" BBC lawnmower which was a different brand altogether compared to what have purchased in the past. The BBC (Blade brake clutch) system is useful as i can engage the engine on its own and have the blade stationary. With a simple lever i can then engage the blade when ready to cut. The best bit would be when i need to empty the grass bag, i simply stop the blade from rotating and have the engine running. Really useful feature to consider. Thanks guys!

I decided to go to Gayways store after my neighbor has been using them for several years. The recommendation was excellent. A really impressive shop with plenty to choice from. However it does make sense to bring pictures of your property or garden as this proved to be really useful when deciding the type of machinery to go for. Will come again in the future.

We have a very large and unruly garden which includes a lawn, huge hedge, trees and brush. We needed to get it back into shape and then maintain it. I set about looking a company to satisfy two requirements. The first was for some serious equipment including Stihl and Silky at a reasonable price. The second was a company that would deliver to Ireland. After several weeks of thorough research on Irish and British companies, Gayways stood well above any other in terms of value in general and after enquiring, they informed me they could ship to The Republic. For various reasons including the nature of Rajiv's business with me living in Ireland, the most convenient way to pay was via bank transfer. I was a bit wary of this given a customer has more options and backup via credit card. However, Gayways and Rajiv put me at ease and the money was transferred. Not long after, I received the items. All items delivered were very well packed and in fine working order except for a power washer. Due to the courier's mishandling, it was badly damaged. I think the best judge of a company is how they deal with a situation when things go wrong. Gayways handled this extremely well. They sent out a second power washer, which the courier unfortunately broke again and had to be returned and after that unsuccessful attempt, Gayways refunded me in full. Rajiv was always very upfront, a real straight shooter. I am very happy with the quality of the equipment and the way in which I was treated by Gayways. The are a stellar example of a company that provides excellent quality products at reasonable prices and after the above have proven themselves to me to be the gold standard for putting the customer first. Because of this, I am delighted to give them my highest recommendation.

A very reliable after sales service from Gayways. We had an old Atco mower which needed parts, but soon found out they were obsolete...unfortunate really for such a brilliant mower. Brilliant service and repairs on my pro Honda lawnmower. I initially had a power drive problem as it was not engaging. Gayways workshop manage to fix the problem with small cost as they called me with a second hand option to keep the cost down. I have just started my horticulture business last year from being in a marketing industry for 11 years. I have a huge passion for gardening and all aspects of outdoor space. I needed to find a specialist shop that can put me in the right path of buying the right equipment for me, as I needed something lightweight, low maintenance, and something that had low engine/motor noise. I found a massive array of online retailers selling all manner of tools, and all seemed over whelming to take the plunge. After narrowing my search I was clear in what I needed to set my new van up, and decided to get professional opinion. My nearest dealer for Husqvarna Power Tools was Gayways, who also happen to be Stihl Dealers in London. Arriving to the store was impressive, with lots of equipment on display. The great thing about going to the store is that you can actually handle the tools and get an idea if it is suitable for you or not. Pricing was not the cheapest, but I was not expecting it would be either. Independent store have over-heads to maintain, and it may of been 10% or so more money to pay, but I have to also see the advantage point of having a dealer close by to build a professional relationship with, organise my warranty documents, provide me better after care service on parts, and also receive trade prices as a valued customer going forward. Now that I have built this bond with this company I feel more confident with the staff working there, and can always call on them if I have a problem or need something in a emergency. So thank you to Gayways for helping me when I needed it, I just wish more specialist retailers were around on the high street.

Really impressive service on parts. We needed to order various parts for our machinery for our community hall. Although our portfolio of products had faded product numbers, Gayways really went out of their way to help us organize the parts we needed. We did use non original parts from the internet which did not have a long shelf life, and now strongly recommend using Original engine manufacturer parts (OEM). Been here several times over the last few years for servicing, bits and pieces. My previous mowers have been Hayter but looking at the selection now they are very dissapointing bits of kit. But on this occasion I needed a change, and due to my age now I went into the shop for some advise. Husqvarna is the machine we narrowed it down too. Model LC347IVX a 47cm deck 36v battery, built incredibly well compared to its counter parts. Really happy with my choice, only wish I had it had come out few years earlier. I decided to come to this shop because I had recently purchased a HAYTER mower online. On receiving the mower I noticed there was a lot of plastic covers and moulds which to me felt cheap for something you pay a lot of money for. I returned the HAYTER back to the online retailer, and decided to buy a Masport mower instead, as it seemed better engineered, with stronger components. I have had the mower now for 3 weeks and really happy with the cut and handling of it. Service and advise from staff at Gayways was great and really happy I came to a specialist place for advise.

The boys found some great information on the website, researched what they felt they needed and ordered two chainsaws - almost straight away the boys decided 'they might need more power...' and proceeded to ask about changing the order to pro chainsaws. This was handled promptly and without any problems at all by the support staff. On the day they collected the saws they also got great service by a chap in the store who explained all about chainsaw protection trousers and helmets etc, 1500 pounds later I can say the saws are great, the gear is top quality and the service and advice was top notch. Amazing 5 Star Service!👌👌 Originally visited Screwfix for a chainsaw. With the lack of expertise. The staff suggested I go to Gayways in Harrow. A very talented store with good staff working here, superb knowledge. Chainsaw selection from Stihl to Husqvarna. Difficult choice as they all looked great, but decided to go with Husqvarna 130 with 14’ cutter bar. Everything was explained well, with a full demonstration of the product. That is something worth paying for as you do not get that level of service from the big stores. Highly recommend.

I purchased a cordless Stihl HSA86 hedgecutter with AP300 battery which has worked for 6 hrs..MORE than what the manufacturers recommend. Top marks for this tool because run cost is low and your also not taking in any fumes from a petrol engine.

Took my 2-year old mower in for service as it was struggling to start. The staff are friendly and helpful. The team called to let me know the service was complete, but it was still not starting as easily as it should. I probably wouldn't have noticed any difficulties, but the Gayways team let me know that they would call the manufacturer (Husqvarna) to help solve the issue. Shortly thereafter, I picked up my mower, and it starts easier than ever before - after a carburettor adjustment. I'll definitely be bringing it back there for my annual service next time!

I had heard about the Stihl brand making mowers, and popped in to Gayways. Nice selection in stock, and the product range of Stihl mowers was really impressive. I decided on a MB545VR roller mower. Light weight, and easy to handle. Out of all the brands, Stihl offer a 5 year warranty, which suited me fine.

As a builder I have many Stihl chop saws on the go. As usual, the saws encounter many problems after rough use by my staff. Gayways have a top staff repairing all my saws, providing me the great service I need to keep my business runnning smoothly as possible. The saws I typically use are Stihl TS410, and I typically used the internet to buy parts from internet (non genuine) , which I do not recommend. Go to a proper shop and buy genuine parts for your tools.
