Lloyd’s Garden completely transformed a friend’s outside space (and did a magnificent job). When I started thinking about replacing a large deck in my garden, my friend strongly recommended that I contact Jonathan. From the first contact, Jonathan could not have been more helpful. He explained that it would be at least 6 months before they could do the work, which was slight outside my desired timeframe. Jonathan generously advised me on what to look out for when looking at other companies and even gave me ball bark numbers so I could assess whether the other quotes were reasonable. Jonathan’s work speaks for itself and he truly is very trustworthy and knowledgeable.

Jonathan and his team were working on a project on our neighbours property . I had been unaware that this would affect my fence and potentially impact on my climbers attached until the fence disappeared ! Jonathan was very professional in what could have been a quite difficult situation . Thereafter he kept me informed about what the works entailed and ensuring that I was happy with what was planned . His team took particular care with the climbers and Jonathan arranged to come into my garden to secure them back on the new fencing and so avoiding any damage to the growth He was totally helpful throughout the process Although I can’t comment on garden / landscaping work I it appears to me he runs a very professional and competent firm

We highly recommend Jonathan and his team at Lloyd’s Gardens of London. Jonathan spent a lot of time working with us to get the layout right and making the most of our budget. The guys on site were very friendly and left the place neat and tidy at the end of each day. Our dog is very much missing their company! The finished garden has transformed an overgrown mess to a split level landscape of decking areas and lawn, surrounded with raised planters. We pretty much spend a bit of every day out there now, it’s our favourite room in the house!

I had already scared off two companies with my plans for paving. The scary bit for these guys was a 'picky' customer with plans for, amongst other things, a central patio with curved edging, using irregularly shaped York stone of varying thicknesses. I also wanted them to maintain my layout of the stones as I had placed them on the ground. There were no spares! Jonathan's response was to try and reassure me that it was 'no problem'. We went with Jonathan firstly because I believed him and secondly because no one else would quote! When it came to it his guys carefully marked and lifted each stone and laid them out on the adjoining beds thus maintaining the layout. And when the base was ready they relaid them perfectly. The further block paving paths, small rear patio, turfing and fencing was finished perfectly. It had rained much of the time, so when, a few days after they had finished and the stones had dried out, I noticed one of them had dried noticeably lighter, I messaged Jonathan. He explain that this stone was used because it fitted better, but not to worry - Gary will be around to switch it back. A week later Gary came round and got stuck in. I went to check on how it was looking as he was tiding up. It took a while to find the reinstated stone and only could because the pointing was still wet. Their work is top notch, on time and no surprises when it came to settling up. Communication was reassuringly responsive. I really couldn't recommend them more highly!

Jonathan and the team at Lloyd’s Gardens of London achieved the impossible for me. They gave me the garden that I didn’t even know I wanted! I have very little knowledge or (if I’m honest) interest in gardening but having decided to completely rip my very old garden out and have it totally re-done, I spent time explaining to Jonathan what I liked, didn’t like, how and when I wanted to enjoy the garden and how much time I was happy to spend maintaining it - which is as little as possible tbh. After an initial design following by several tweaks, the team moved in and got to work and I was very happy to leave them to it although I was consulted on a regular basis with progress reports and any hitches. The team’s professionalism was of the highest calibre; they arrived on time every single day, worked solidly stopping only for lunch and cleaned up after themselves before they left for the day. The only delays to the job were because of inclement weather. The result was absolutely brilliant and has completely transformed the use of our home. We have gained another room “in the house” and although this summer was a bit of washout we have already used the garden more in the last few months than in the last few years. We thoroughly enjoy spending time in our new space and our only regret is not doing it years ago.

I can't rate these guys highly enough, they did and fantastic job turning our broken old decking into a great cottage patio, complete with flower bed and electrics. They were very professional, but what I appreciated the most were the insights and advise they would give about what might work best for us and our space. Jonathan and team designed , landscaped and completed our split level garden over the course of April/ May 2017. Previously we had been unable to use our garden as it suffered from poor drainage. The initial brief was to solve the drainage problem, replace the patio, sort dodgy steps and make it low maintenance! Jonathan suggested some scope changes, including replacing grass with astroturf, and importantly, increasing the size of the usable garden by reducing the border size. We are just delighted with the result and two years on the garden has simply become the most fantastic extension to our house! Our children play out there for hours on the astroturf! Although the cost was more than we had budgeted it really has been worth the extra spend. The astroturf suggestion was simply revolutionary (fantastic for children, no mess in house, saves need for lawn-mowing) and that, together with the other incidental design/usage touches, a lower wall which splits the two levels of the garden and doubles as a seat, shed and fences painted a dark brown/black against light patio, has resulted in a garden we just love, far better use of the space than we previously had, and of course is a complete hit with our children!
