Y. M.Went for some winter plants and they have a great range in stock.
Got some lovely Christmas gifts and tons of Christmas decorations/trees/novelty stuff.
Prices aren't that bad also.
The staff were lovely and very friendly.
M. D.I headed up to j.Parker's this weekend and it was brilliant it was Christmas over load they had every colour bauble and Christmas tree decoration dancing Christmas Trees all I can say is they had every that you could need to decorate every thing in your home inside and out for Christmas🎅🏽

I've just been in today and all the beautiful Christmas decorations are available to buy, and of course all the gorgeous outdoor plants and pots etc. I have often been for a spot of lunch there with my dad as well, the cafe is great. It's quite an expensive garden centre but you have to pay for quality. Highly recommended.
L. H.Often find what I want at this smaller, but expanding garden centre. Dog friendly cafe with special beds for your pups whilst you feast.
J. M.Wrong time of the year to visit. I went for a specific plant which I will buy online. Full of stock that needs clearing but ever 50%, reductions aren't enough for some of the offerings. They're getting Xmas stock so the place is cluttered but there is no excuse to ask too much for half dead plants that can be bought cheaper and in better condition at a cut price supermarket

R. N.It's lots of tat, a tea shop and some plants. Par for the course. There are some nice shrubs here and they are well looked after and not so expensive. I got what I was after.
M. L.Nice little cafe within the garden centre. Food is good and quickly prepared. The range is perhaps a little limited. A few wraps as well as sandwiches and toasties would be nice, and a bit more of a nod to vegetarians and vegans.

D. B.Never been before but will be going back for sure. Very well stocked for Christmas and at very attractive prices, I've seen similar goods elsewhere at much higher prices. Most importantly the staff are very helpful indeed and the lady we had couldn't have done any more to help. Needless to say we didn't leave empty handed.

B. K.Good place to go for all garden items and use the cafe. It's being extended and revamped shortly to include moor ship space, cafe space and external display space. On top of that the car park is being extended. It will be even better soon

M. B.Old fashioned Garden Centre with a modern attitude! Stock levels and variety excellent! Healthy plants well cared for. We always try to go before lunch in order to reward ourselves for our forage with a trip to the Cafe and home cooked food and baking!

J. S.A great garden centre with lots of stock in large indoor and outside areas. Always seem to have a good variety of stock. The cafe is also excellent. The staff are great and always happy to help. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that everything is generally more expensive than other garden centres we use. That said it is the best.

A. T.Only ever used for mail order purchases. Have bought numerous plants, shrubs, bulbs over the past few years. Always been pleased with the quality of plants supplied. Prices are very competitive. Web site very detailed. Even during the first lockdown when they were ultra busy filling mail orders I was kept up to date with emails about delays. First time this year buying bedding plant 'plugs', Great value. They were so good I had enough to pass onto family. Will continue to use.

T.Nice little garden center with ample parking space and is easy to find. Christmas display on entering is a very nice touch, the displays were of a high quality, inspired use of colour and well made decorations. The plants were nicely displayed and well stocked. Very dog friendly with a pet section to keep them entertained. Although I could smell the cafe (smelt good BTW), we sadly didn't have time to try it so maybe next time. Overall, would recommend.

We went with the intention of buying a evergreen bush but the guy who works there, was so good at Customer service , we ended up buying 2 silver birches and an apple tree !!!
We will return to buy ' that' evergreen bush next week. All in all, a great garden centre.
R. G.I really enjoy going here. After lockdown I visited. The staff are fantastic. Helpful and friendly. They obviously have been working with more difficult times due to Covid however they are still helpful and go that little bit further. A wonderful range of all gardening products and I've always been happy with my purchases and the prices are reasonable.
P. P.The restaurant has been much improved - we went last year, not good. Lots of lovely plants, gardening stuff and gifts, really difficult to resist. Today's cashier not enjoying her job today - apparently not just an off day, she was unfriendly and disinterested a few days ago as well.

S. L. (. L. L.Usually impressed but not so much this visit. We rang ahead to check they had an item in stock. But when we got there were told it wasn't at the moment until Christmas stock was done. The sanitation station had clearly not been checked and was all frozen and not usable .

G. M.Have a wide variety of plants, gifts and accessories that are reasonably priced. Purchased a lovely well made bench but was mithered about diy and fitting it in my car. Just mentioned it to the lovely lady on the till. It was arranged that they would put it together for me in store and deliver it for me without charge, which they did. This was appreciated. Customer service is excellent. The staff are very helpful and go that bit further. Im going back to buy some plants and planters etc for the garden.
J. A.Great place, staff really helpful and know lots about gardening and plants in general. Easy parking. On the downside it is a little expensive. Things like branded fertilizers, week killers and pest repellents can be purchased significantly cheaper in supermarkets. But aren't supermarkets dominating almost everything we buy putting pressure on smaller businesses? Overall, a great experience. I'll definitely be returning in the future

S. P.We've been looking for garden solar powered lampposts. Looked on Parkers website,(as we only live 10mins drive away) but didn't see any (Did try phoning but no answer, but do understand why, as it is a very popular garden centre) so yesterday went to a garden centre in Todmorden, to view one,but,unfortunately it was very flimsy.On the way back I phoned Parkers & spoke to Paula, she was SO helpful. They DO sell them, but don't put them on their website? (only plants are put on which is a shame as it would have saved us the long drive to Todmorden,which is why I've taken one * off) She said she would put two on one side for us. 5minutes later she phoned me & said they also have a different model & would also put them to one side. We went today to see them, she unboxed both for us & we bought two

E. S.I am a regular customer. A couple of weeks ago I found just what I wanted in good condition. I was a few plants short for my pots this morning so I called again and was very disappointed.
S. B.not the cheapest garden centre but very local to me makes it convenient. staff are friendly and helpful and the range on offer is pretty extensive. certainly have a good range of plants and the like.....lots of quirky, not really garden related stuff for sale too.
S. W.Has a reasonable selection of plants and a lot of giftware which mostly isn't to my taste. Good selection of wild bird food. A small cafe which has the basics; jacket potatoes and sandwiches and it has always been busy when I have visited. Unfortunately, you do have to queue to order your meal and can take a while but this isn't an issue if you are having a leisurely afternoon out.
j. R.Good garden centre as garden centres go. It had all we needed and the prices were pretty good too. We were not to sure what plants we were going to go for other than it was a border and we wanted to fill it. The plants were set out in easy to understand groups and it has been anfew months since we planted all those plants that we bought and all bar one has taken really well.
Plenty of parking with a restaurant inside, we didnt use the restaurant but it look ok with noth fancy about it. Staff we very helpful and knowledgeable.

Vastly improved since the refurb a few years ago it's a nice place to wander around, looking for stuff for the garden or your potted plants, and the staff are very helpful. Nice little tea shop, and a decent sized car park. Gets very busy in the summer for obvious reasons!

Great brass band playing in the entrance and beautiful twinkly lights on the trees really started Christmas off for us. Will make this a yearly Christmas visit.

Staff at tills are pretty unhelpful and unfriendly, however I have had useful gardening conversations with staff (if you can find any) outside. Plants are expensive but good quality. Gift section is ghastly. Only used cafe once and it was ok.

H. A.This is a nice, small, local garden centre which I think is family run. There is a wide range of products and offers items not shown in the large chains. For example, the books are really unusual and different to most other centres. Well worth a visit.

D. S.We went to parkers garden centre yesterday to buy a white rose tree for my partner, the plants are excellent quality and reasonably priced, but the problem I had was the staff seem to be abrupt.
l. s.I do quite like this place usually. Unfortunately this time was.....abit less organised? Was charged twice for 1 item but i spotted it before leaving so thats ok. Paid for 2 large bags of miracle gro, went to collect it and there was none. Went to the till and explained, was told to have another look, had another look. Back to the till again lol. Had to find a none-till staff member who also asked if id looked properly before going to look themselves.... Guess what? No miracle gro!! 😁 was adviced towards another flavor bag at +£2 each so back to the till again....

L. W.Parkers are generally the best 'go-to' garden centre and as they are backed up by great online provision they are pretty effective. Seach of the christmas stuff is for a particular taste but that's true of anywhere really.
