Reviews of Dobbies Garden Centre Northampton

A superb garden centre. We, my friend and I visited the cafe after looking round the centre. We stopped and had coffee and a chat. One thing that could have made our visit better was the person who served us, maybe he needs training on how to be welcoming, friendly and approachable, particularly if he wants his staff to copy his ways.
S. S.
It's a lovely garden centre. Has many many great quality plants, flowers, shrubs and anything your garden needs. Definitely recommend to visit if you haven't been there.
Prices can be on a high side, but you know what you get.
A. S.
Garden centre with extra stars. Some nice food groceries, dinnerware, kitchenware and gifts plus a great selection of indoor and outdoor plants. Nice ambience which enhances the shopping and browsing experience. Concession Mountain Warehouse and pond and aquarium shop inside. Handy Next-door to a large Waitrose. Expect to pay a little more but worth it for finding something a little different in the garden centre.

Cafe is clean, very pleasant staff, dog friendly seating area. Plenty of choice on the menu for breakfast, lunch and cream teas. The shop itself has so many things to look at, beautiful gift ideas as well as the garden centre itself.
R. M.
I needed a new pair of decent trainers for daily walking. The footwear department had exactly what I needed, at a good price. The staff were polite and helpful, but did not hurry me.
G. G.
This is a great garden centre and the food hall is amazing. My grandson loved his kid's lunch box. Absolutely great value. Staff serving the food are first class!
B. S.
Had great service from who I think may have the manager. He was very efficient . We did have to wait a while for our breakfast and the waitress apologised for the wait as she
“didn’t hear the buzzer”. Unfortunately, the scrambled egg was so cold that we were unable to eat it and there was no-one around to complain to as the queue was so long and the staff were running around ragged. Hopefully, the problem of the “buzzer” can be rectified as we do enjoy our Saturday breakfasts at this venue.
G. M.
Got a good selection of plants, coffee shop busy but did not have to wait to get served. Made use of their wheelchair facilities. Good visit altogether.
B. R.
Nice choice of products. The cafe was good, but lost a star due to the price and the fact my ham and cheese toastie had almost as much fat as meat on the ham slice in it. I'm amazed no-one thought to slice that off before serving it.
V. B.
The textil gloves with plastic dots were only ladies size, I had to buy men size from somewhere else. The restaurant inside is overpriced. They have a small soft play area for small children.
J. C.
It's a nice garden center, lots of collections, especially beautiful garden furniture and ornamental fishes. There is a nice cafeteria running with delicious food served. 👍

Customer care service is excellent. Cafe is clean with freshly cooked meals. I love Dobbies garden centre - I could spend hours there, so much to see.
J. C.
Not impressed to having to wait 35 minutes for a toastie and a sandwich. Thanks to Julie and Suzanne for sorting problem, but the offer of a piece of cake as compensation was not ideal solution, even though cake was very nice!

I always love the option to browse home furnishings as well as the outdoor garden at Dobbies and whenever I see a Dobbies as they are not all over the UK, I make a point of visiting.
Huge cafe area onsite, farmers shop - yes of course i did buy in this section, gift section with cards, outdoor clothing section, massive garden tool area, inspirational as always on the real and faux plant areas.
I was looking for balcony hanging garden pots, I asked a very friendly, knowledgeable assistant and found exactly what I was after.
A nice place to have a browse and a coffee. A waitrose next door to pick up any other food shopping whilst you are out. Ample parking.
S. W.
Restaurant: expensive for what we got. Service was a bit slow and I could tell they were untrained. But deffo a great place to take your nan
Flowers: very pretty x
Pull your green finger out and head to dobbies x
J. M.
Lovely garden centre , beautiful inside BUT exceptionally expensive - you're looking at £35+ just for a plastic rake which I'm sure does a brilliant job 😬 but no budget options available.
G. M.
Such a lovely special visit for lunch. So much to see,.highly recommended.
S. S.
Lovely place to visit. Plants galore and prices cheaper than expected. Surprised no.cut flowers but not a problem. Nice food and friendly staff.
J. M.
Had a catch up with a couple of friends pre Christmas.. Ordered food and drink.. All arrived hot and tasty. Only complaint is my jacket potato was on the smallest plate, making it difficult to cut and eat without spilling.. The plate does not have to be huge but just a little bigger would have been nice.. Other than that all was tasty and service was 10 out of 10..cake was scrumptious. Thank you.
S. J.
Fantastic Afternoon Tea this afternoon with my teenage daughter .
Staff very friendly, polite .
Plenty of choice and more than enough to eat !!
We were able to take what we left home as so much !!
Thank you again
J. M.
Bright, spacious, clean building with a large range of products from several outlets like Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Padders, and Maidenhead Aquatics, etc.
Large range of standard gardening supplies, but a bit pricey on some items.
A. J.
Nice breakfast bit of a wait for order to be taken.
Able to take dog into cafe
M. S.
Garden centre has several outlet stores such as a Sainbury , Maidenhead Aquatics, shoe stores, pet store and a outdoor clothing store. There is also a Waitrose store on the same site and plenty of parking spaces for all
J. W.
A large garden centre with other retailers inside, Cotton traders clothes, sainsbury food and a good cafe.
Lots of garden accessories and home ware.
s. b.
A great garden centre with a wide variety of plant's, sundries, gifts and a lovely restaurant for light bites and coffee.
G. W.
Usual Garden Centre stuff. Well laid out, clean and tidy. Cafe ok but cheese scone a bit strange (uncheesy). Generally, just another garden centre.
J. B.
So much choice in the store and in the cafe their cakes and scones are lovely. Also have a Sainsbury's for day to day food
s. g.
Great garden centre, beautiful plants, gifts & really nice restaurant food excellent, very quick service.
J. U.
Thanks to the restaurant manager for resolving the problem I had with a payment today. This is my 2nd review today. He was kind and helpful. The staff in the restaurant are really friendly and helpful. The lady that served me where the problem arose was not to blame. Thank you
E. W.
Expensive place. Shame Costa gone. Restaurant full. Easy to park. Waitrose next door which was good.
L. H.
Just been and had a lovely meal in the restaurant, helpful friendly staff, who were trying hard to seat everyone quickly as there was a queue. Everywhere was clean and tidy, staff were working hard cleaning the tables and areas. We had the chicken pea curry. It was so tasty and our hot drinks were piping hot, just the way I like them. We will definitely be back soon.
Well done to all the staff , as it was busy and they looked understaffed, but were still giving a great experience to the customers, by being helpful and friendly.
W. P.
Elizabeth was really helpful both on the telephone and by putting a water feature by for us to collect.
M.
Nice garden centre with a lovely caffè. The cakes I find are overly sweet... And maybe a bit overpriced... But a nice place for an afternoon tea.
i. k.
Good range of plants and garden accessories , extra clothing toiletry candles etc brands and shops inside like sainsbury's and cafeteria, lovely place very pleasant to be there and good to browse for presents too
J. P.
Met DIL half way for a pleasant brunch in the cafe which arrived promptly and hot, then walked around spacious garden centre. Staff helpful.
S. B.
Clean but no staff masked and gel empty. Didn't have anything I wanted in stock and didn't know if or when they would so not very helpful.
G. M.
It's not cheap. But it does have a good and varied range. As youd expect it stocks near everything you could want for the garden right down to Wellington's and bird food, but at a price. The cafe is very popular so must be quite good. You will probably have to keep or wait but that's not a reflection on the staff who go at it with a will. The in store shops are varied and with the town centre dead on its feet you may well find what you want there. As mentioned, it's not cheap but the staff are good and helpful and you maybe surprised at what you find there.
The child play area at Dobbies Hardingstone is very badly managed. Although they say no hot drinks or food, children should be attended nothing is done to informed it. They charge £2 a session but o one polices it.
A. R.
Polite and friendly service good quality plant's and Maidenhead aquatics were excellent I bought two fish for my tank
A. C.
Helpful staff and nice selection of indoor plants plus gorgeous pots and plants for the garden
M. O.
Visited basically for the cafe good food and a quick look around the shop and outdoor plant area
G. M.
Very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff in Pets Corner, who helped us choose some items for mental stimulation of our rescue pup.
L. G.
Was there yesterday had breakfast with the grandkids it was lovely also very dog friendly
T. S.
Have so many wonderful things to buy here. We bought an outdoor pizza oven. They always seem to have stock...
A. B.
Nice garden centre great kids play area something you don't usually find in a garden centre so a big plus, had a drink and cake x 2 reasonably priced and very polite staff.
T. I.
It's not only garden store. Inside there is a number of franchise outlets including Sainsbury's. Next door there is a Waitrose store as well.
G. B.
Great choice of indoor and outdoor plants and garden equipment. Good offers with dobbies card.
A. C.
Great place to drop by on a Sunday. Wide range of quality stock.
A. O.
I do like it here but once you have been to one dobbies you have been to them all.
quite q few of the old in store stores have gone.
forget getting any lunch they stop serving cooked food before 2pm. How ever the new style Cafe is quite nice and the staff are great.
J. d. T.
Great garden centre with a couple of concessions (Sainsbury's, Mountain Warehouse, Pets Corner, etc).
Wide variety of plants and garden paraphernalia.
Coffee shop/cafe with a small soft play area for the kiddies to burn off some energy.
M.
Large choice of outdoor and indoor plants. Extremely polite and professional service.
Y. M.
Good selection of plants, and pots. Trees and shrubs a little empty of stock.
Cafe not serving full menu , shelves empty, possibly due to Christmas stock ready to go on.
B. M.
Went there for breakfast (cooked), really nice and would go again.
T. S.
Sadly I had to return some items as parts where missing from the boxes. I was unhappy with the situation as I go to Dobbies for quality over other cheaper outlets. However when I returned the items the management team where very apologetic and explained the situation how this could of happened. They offered us a full refund and a sandwich and a cuppa as some form of compensation. A lady called Amanda took over at this point and did everything she could to improve the situation. She made every effort possible and set a great example for her team. Great customer service. Together they managed to turn a complaint in to a compliment.
T. M.
Enjoyed being here clean and bright well spaced out and lots of variety of items to buy
P. H.
Mum said to me this morning about having a free cup of coffee after a while I got to the front and ordered my coffee for the 2 of us and I had to pay £5 something for the coffee from dobbies in Northampton branch
N. W.
My sister and I were at Debbie's Restaurant today and we would like to say a big thank you to Sean, the Manager and special thanks to the very attentive staff, particularly George, Suzanne and Amelia. The meal was lovely and as for the Chip Shop Chips - don't think I have ever had any better! Many thanks
c. k.
Pleasent for a short coffee date, now open plan, short wait but nice coffee and cake. Amble through garden centre with varied selection of all sorts of goods and in store Sainsbury's mini store.
J. K.
Probably a bit more expensive compared to other garden centre's but always well stocked, clean and bright. Toilet facilities are excellent. Restaurant exceptionally clean and well spaced out.
S. I.
A well presented and comprehensive range of goods. A pleasant way to spend an afternoon and s very nice cafe to refresh yourself after shopping.
A. S.
Stumbled across this place when visiting to buy Pavers shoes. It's got enough variety of shops inside this garden centre to keep you occupied for a good half a day. Parking is free and has a place to eat and drink.
M. G.
Not as good as when it was wydales
Costa no longer there
Lot of the independent stores inside have gone
Awful lot of expensive rubbish
L. B.
Very neat & tidy, nice selection of bedding plants. Found almost all of what I went to purchase. Spoke with a member of staff who was knowledgeable, polite and very helpful. Be really nice place to visit once the restaurant/coffee shop is able to reopen.
E. L.
Great selection of plants, join Dobbies Club it is well worth it. Great free drink, chess scones not so good today...
V. F.
Lovely atmosphere serene and peaceful, enjoyed shopping
K. M.
The usual mix of overpriced plants, garden furniture, nick nacks, chutneys and meaningless 'gift' items.
K. K.
Positive experience. I went to buy a greeting card as I know they have a good selection there. I also purchased some shoes from their shoe department where the staff were helpful and pleasant. I went on to buy a fleece from Mountain Warehouse. Brilliant I could get everything I wanted but didn't necessarily need in one place .
J. C.
This is an excellent store. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
I called to make enquiries about a garden bench. They called me back to say it was in stock. I was most impressed.
The store is well laid out and there is lots to see.
A. H.
If you go for plants and garden stuff etc... It's great, little on the pricey side, but a good selection. It's a garden centre and people need to remember that, although a lot of shop floor is devoted to non-gardening stock.
What let's it down are the prices and the cafe.
A couple of years ago, the cafe used to be great. They had good quality hot food and fantastic deals which we kept coming back for. 2 for 1 breakfast for example. Then things changed. The 2 for 1 got pulled and the prices went up. No longer free hot drinks with breakfast was a killer for us, the quality of the sausages, now very poor quality we knew it was time to move on.
Today but a shadow of itself hot food wise. The tea and cake part is still very nice!
Again it's a garden centre.
J. G.
Great shop with lots of choices very helpful staff, highly recommend a visit.
B. S.
Great place to meet up for Coffee tea and a decent well priced meal or snack. Then walk around the centre checking out all the great products plus you can shop in the Sainsbury's in there.
L. R.
It was nice. A very large variety of plants and flowers, indoors and outdoors, trees, seeds, easy grown solutions. ( First time see mushroom pack). As well have home interior design items, kitchen stuff, toys, books.
V. C.
Excellent. coffee excellent x like the new restaurant layout too. Lovely show of plants really spoilt for choice. Would like to see more staff on hand to chat to.
S. P.
Lady Chef made mine and my daughters day. So kind ♡ Thank you x
E. L.
Had breakfast which was adapted to our taste and good. Service was excellent as was the safety /cleaning regime they were operating and learnt it was buy one get one free which was a great bonus. Purchased what I was looking for in plant section so all in all an excellent morning out.
J. R.
Lovely garden centre, visit to cafe is a must. Very covid aware
M.
They really need to better train staff regarding challenging mask exempt customers. After approx. 30min wait to be served, staff member at till was very rude. This is discrimination against me as someone with hidden disabilities. Left me feeling very upset, & I won't be back.
A. F.
Was nice enough but was left with other people's dirty cups and plates for over 20 minutes. In fairness, I thought that I was an innocent mistake rather than poor service.
D. S.
Dobies have done a good job since they took over this centre, and have managed it well though the various lockdowns. A good variety of products with some decent deals. Prices are relatively reasonable (it us a garden centre, after all!). I've given four stars rather than five as the staff are not always particularly friendly. The guy that served me today was pretty grumpy, in fact.
s. p.
Much more than a garden centre. Did not realise there are kitchen products and lots of other stuff. Great gift ideas. Good quality products. Store was clean and nicely laid out, very roomy which is good in these difficult times for social distancing.
H. W.
Really good garden Center. Even has GF on the restaurant menu. Really good fish and chips.
Now has a Sainsbury’s in store as well
C. V.
Went for s wander round looking for garden inspiration. Plenty of ideas and s good range of plants and products. Went to the restaurant which was pleasant but currently only open for outside service due to covid restrictions but it's well managed.
J. B.
No Elf but plenty of plants and associated containers
A. M.
Restaurant here have nailed it with the current Covid situation. Team are friendly, knowledgeable and make you feel safe. The restaurant has been freshened up with some paint during lockdown and looks lovely. The cleaning process they have in place is well above par. They have a great extensive menu and it’s all cooked fresh to order. It was nice to see the dining room alive again. They have ample outside seating here also. It’s well worth a visit. You won’t be disappointed.
M. H.
Nice to be able to enjoy a coffee and cake. Well prepared with good distance between tables and great to have the option to sit out side. Hope you will think about keeping the outside area to sit during each summer even when we come out the other end of this awful pandemic .
S. G.
Dobbies food very nice unfortunately they were short staffed so the wait was longer than normal
K. G.
There are various different stores within the garden centre eg pet store, clothes store. So much choice in the actual garden centre part.
j. c.
Quite busy, some of the hand sanitizers not working. Good selection of products. Put off by some customers who were continuously coughing.
D. g.
Pricey but you can find whats in your range if you look
L. H.
Great choice of everything you would need for your home and garden. Very good service received when needed help. Lovely little cafe also.
G. W.
I love the Dobbies Garden centre's. They are very reasonably priced, you can have a nice lunch and let young ones have a run around in the play area. I would say it's best suited for 2-5 year olds.
Lots of other things to look at as well, great selection of plants and bulbs and seeds.
Always helpful and friendly staff.
G. T.
Would like to suggest that instead of customers joining an interminable queue for just coffee the staff who were standing around waiting for the table service customers ...who were very few...opened up the other coffee machine and moved things along. Much better organised at Harlestone Road. Would not use again even though the scones were lovely. Not a complaint...just constructive criticism..sorry.
b. c.
Seems to have improved the range and in some cases, the quality of the plants and shrubs, compared to the previous owner. Improved customer service approach makes for an overall better experience. A reasonably flexible returns policy makes for a great reason to visit.
M. d. c.
Went to eat with friends & a large portion of the menu was unavailable. As we had queued for some time we decided to stay & put up with it but it would have been more helpful to have been made aware when we joined the queue.
L. A.
Met friends for coffee only but shop looked fab, will return when in the area
L. G.
Good coffee need more signs for queue to coffee and hot food as they are different areas.
k. g.
Good food and dog friendly
H. P.
Lovley place to walk round lots to choose from ...
A. T.
Took my dad in his wheelchair to get some plants and a member of staff pushed the trolley around the store helped with choices then took trolley to my car with no complaints very helpful thankyou
D. M.
I went to 2 to find a garden seating set not a great choice the ones they had were way out of my price range to small or to large but still a lovely shop
C. R.
Good selection of garden related items, plants and a range of goodies for your cats, dogs and birds.
N. B.
Well laid out and plenty of variety there from plants and pots to garden furniture and toys. There is a cafe and now Sainsbury's too.
G. W.
Took my mother in law in a wheelchair for her to get some slippers and Xmas gifts. Staff friendly and helpful. Fairly easy to get around, however the addition of a mobile baby change in the disabled toilet made things more difficult. Enjoyed our tea and stollen!
B. K.
Good for a couple of hours out, browsing. Shame about the attitude of some of the restaurant staff. Given three stars because a couple of staff were really trying hard. Must be difficult when your colleagues are so rubbish they undermine you.
V. L.
Many plants and indoor goods are not priced up and it is not always possible to determine the price from signage either. If this could be improved the shopping experience would be better.
M.
Overpriced...cafe service is slow...staff are more interested talking to each other than serving you! Toilets are a disgrace....sort it out!
M. A.
First time I've visited for years and was amazed at how lovely it is....Xmas decorations look beautiful....
M. D.
Lovely open spaces inside, not all squashed in and lovely inside/outside seating area for cafe. Long queue today for a coffee, not sure what it is like every other day though but guess we have to be prepared for this lifestyle now.
M. K.
Well laid out, toilets available, when I was there a couple of weeks ago, you could only eat outside as no one allowed in the restaurant
E. H.
Nice garden centre, good range of plants and home goods as well as a coffee shop. Not the cheapest but it generally has what you want
F. M.
Great news, The Garden Centre is better than ever, I love the Dobbies staff who are so helpful and the quality and big variety of goods on sale so inviting.
Best thing I did was to join the Dobby Club and enjoy all the perks that come with membership.
Still very Dog friendly for us folks, who say love me love my Dog!
B. S.
Not just a garden centre.
Large choice of many different things from gardening to shoes, seasonal to food.
A. S.
Good choices and helpful staff and good cafe
G. C.
Friendly staff and well cared for grounds .
R. M.
Just come from our local dobbies, had a cooked breakfast there absolutely yummy breakfast even ate the sausages.
T. K.
Excellent selection of all varieties of products, plants etc a all superb a must place to visit.
A. W.
I like it here very much. Large stock, spacious and also large outdoor gardens dept. Really good cafe, shops for clothes, shoes, gardening equipment, toys, cards, unusual food and general lovely smelling things, candles, soaps etc. Great at Christmas and strong Christmas trees then too. Downside...tiny bit pricey at times.
V. W.
Went for a meal outside. You can go undercover or sit in the sun when it's sunny!!! The food is really good value for money and the staff are so friendly and attentive.
L. F.
My friend Naomi took me to Dobbies.
Had some coffee and scones saw lots of plants too and a great place to shop for grocery too
T.
Dobbies used to be a garden centre but now it's mainly a retail outlet and includes Pavers shoes and Mountain Warehouse outdoor clothes. Also an Aquatic centre for tropical, marine and outdoor fish.
Given 4 stars as the garden centre in my opinion has suffered.
a. A.
I love this place, shoppers paradise. Gift ideas galore, super plants.
G. -.
Great options, we got lots for our garden and for camping. Ans grabbed some plant based goodies from the sainsburys too.
R. D.
Great tasty food with good table layout where staff were actively following safe procedures and cleansing. Now total table service, which was efficient and effective.
R. H.
Visited the cafe for light lunch Tues 18 Feb. Stood in queue for a few minutes while two staff members had an argument, the male continuously banging his serving spoon on a pan of veg. When they finished we ordered our toasties. Toasties acceptable but salad garnish tired to the extent that two of the leaves we're totally brown- and I mean horribly dark brown. These were removed by staff, who alologised. Think we'll give this one a miss in future. I must emphasise all staff were perfectly polite to customers. Just seem to fall out amongst themselves.
A. C.
Nice garden centre with a variety of useful concessions. Have bought many healthy and long-lived plants from here
I. B.
Nice and windy outside..But cosy in???
R. 2.
It's a garden centre but also aquatic pet centre and clothing shop too. A bit like a petrol station shop (where you can buy fuel for the automobile and for yourself) but in a bigger scale
M. B.
Been making full use of my dobbies card plus. 2 main meals for 12 pounds. Plus my 2 free coffees. Staff very friendly and bulbs are now in.
D. H.
Lovely. You almost feel normal in there. Some of the shelves are bare but I'm sure that will be rectified. We got some bargains today so we are happy
B. C.
Greart range of products for the garden and a cafe
D.
The staff outside were very helpful and kind. The cashier was also patient and kind. Prices overall were expensive as usual. I go to the sale table and usually pick up a few items.
K. S.
Took a client up there, I am a carer, lovely garden centre, lots to look at, I bought some boots from pavers in the sale. It can be a little pricey though on certain things.
S. A.
Every thing was lovely, all safe 95% of people were wearing masks. A pleasant chance to get out and about.
S. R.
Good stock reasonable prices
S. O.
This used to be Wywales before Dobbies took them over. Apparently Dobbies have taken over quite a few of the former Wywales. Whilst stocking a huge selection of plants, and gardening paraphernalia, these are strange outlets as they also have a selection of household items, books, marine supplies and a cafe / restaurant.
I see a lot of the older generation there for afternoon teas.
Losing its appeal for me and getting pricier.
However still a few bargains on offer particularly on some bigger potted plants.
Worth visiting.
K. B.
Love the layout and the staff are great. When open the coffee shop is great for lunch and the mini sainsbury is a great addition with all you need
P. T.
Had a nice breakfast in the outside seating area. Good to be able to eat out after such a long time.
M. R. R.
Very nice place
All you need in one place
C. K.
Had a breakfast meeting here. Food was nicely cooked and there's cold water freely available to drink but think they are possibly short staffed as general cleanliness of dining area was a bit disappointing
P. B.
Everyone is so kind & helpful. Plants etc are always in excellent condition. There are clothes, shoes & pets shops. Lovely catering & childrens play area.
C. M.
Had a thoroughly good visit and snack meal. Brilliant!
A. E.
Thought it was very well laid out. Albeit expensive. We had lunch and it was very good. Service was good. Staff very nice in restaurant.
M. H.
Afternoon Tea was lovely. Christmas displays look very promising.
The pet centre was great. Really helpful and knowledgeable staff.
C. H.
Such a shame when garden centres no longer have an interest in selling a good range of plants as candles and misc items make more money. Mountain Warehouse outlet is great though.
d.
I visited Dobbies garden centre, santa grotto in northampton today with my 2 yr old grandaughter and it was a lovely experience. The grotto itself was enchanting and well done. The santa was kind, gentle and very good with a shy 2 yr old. The present was excellent quality and age appropriate.I would thoroughly recommend visiting.
J. T. M.
Lovely garden centre with a little Sainsbury's inside. They offer 10% discount for Blue light card holders.
B. B.
Not so much a garden centre as a well clothes, nick knacks and pretty expensive at that. Buying compost and fertilizer is a good deal. Dont buy your plants here unless they have a deal on, choice and quality not great. Look out for managers deals and out of seaon plants. I bought an orchard for £4 because it was not in flower was originally marked at £29.99
G. C.
Nice little place but it's not the cheapest. Has everything you need though and more.
S. 7. S.
Good selection of products both seasonal and also more down to earth products something for all tastes
K. N.
Still a lovely garden centre and love the range of products available at Pet's corner as well as the friendly welcome by staff.
P. C.
Really nice place loads of different things . Good place for a coffee.
C. F.
Went here to get some garden tubs but had a very poor selectione. Lots of selection of other goods though.
K. B.
Although this is a nice smallish garden centre, which has recently been taken over by Dobbies, I do wish that the toilets could have a makeover, and then maintenance kept up-to-date, they are not pleasant at the moment.
J. S.
Can't redeem your Dobbies Reward Vouchers at the Restaurant, was told by an abrupt staff member that the till doesn't accept them. Nothing on the reverse of voucher to indicate that that they are not valid there.
J. G.
Just had a lovely breakfast roll and coffee. Service was excellent. Served by Susanne.
a. p.
took my two daughters for afternoon tea after our walk at salcey forest. What can I say excellent from start to finish, lovely staff, great food and drink. highly recommended
J. W.
Went for lunch had to wait 10 minutes before order taken. Then a further 20min before food arrived. Lack of staff appeared to be the problem.
K.
Lovely big garden centre, that does more than just gardening. A bit to expensive for me.
M. P.
Super helpful knowledgeable staff
c. k.
First flat white in months and it was delicious 😊. COVID secure measures in place. Good selection of plants and gift ideas.
R. B.
Today was our first visit. Breakfast very hot and very nice. The garden centre it self was brilliant so much to choose from and friendly staff
A. B.
My five year old daughter had a fab time at the soft play and the food was tasty. However, the toilets were dirty and the staff were rude
C. “. H.
Visited Pavers for sandals but ordered as not in stock. In and quickly out.
M. D.
Good range of products. Costa here has a poor range of gluten free products at this site. But dog friendly.
l. s.
Well set out . Nice to wonder around . Prices not to bad
J. B.
We thought very expensive, some nice stuff but overpriced.
D. P.
Lovely garden centre, lots of choice and independent retailers inside too. Could spend a couple of hours browsing and then have a bite to eat in cafe.
A. H.
Definitely gone downhill over the years. As a company they do not seem to care about the customer. Definitely NOT anywhere as good as Dobbies or Frosts. I would much rather drive 25 minutes to Frosts than 10 minutes to Wyevale. Not the same league at all.
S. B.

Tired looking garden centre, with limited plants range as the business has diversified so much, it's more like a mini-mall than a garden centre.
R. C.
A good garden centre with restaurant offering a wide range of reasonably priced plants and gifts.
J. L.
Nice garden centre.
S. M.
It's a Wyevale - it seems like a pretty good one.
There are two close to Northampton; this one, and one at Harlestone. The one at Harlestone has a soft play area for young children, which this one doesn't, and also had a Cotton Traders - again, which this one doesn't.
A. V.
