Reviews of Country Gardens
S. A.
I enjoy going to this place every time! Recently refurbished for Christmas lightings. Great place as ever!
R. M.
Very nice. Good selection of outdoor plants. A bit too much peat based compost on sale for my liking, but i did find a peat free option. Lovely selection of little cacti on the way to the tills at really good prices. Enjoyable trip.

As previously stated, this garden centre continues to improve, increasing its stock range and seasonal offerings. Some good quality plants available with special offers too
C. H.
Nice little garden centre, good range of plants. Plenty of bits and bobs. What it lacks is a nice little café.
A. M.
Good garden centre reasonable prices

This place is not massive and doesn't sell everything but it is good value for money on certain things, it does regular offers for compost, the pot selection is very reasonable, and the bonus is always check out their for sale plants. Here are some examples 4 pound Agapanthus, 50p tomatoes, 1 pound for a trat of carrot seedling, 75p for a jalapeno plant, 2 pound for a reasonable sized lavender and 10 pounds for a 5ft Eucalyptus plant. At Christmas time they have a fabulous selection of ornaments and trees (strongly recommend going for that after Christmas sale as well!)

Not very interesting. As always, the building is unbearably hot. We just have to get through as quickly as possibly. The indoor part is always far too hot for humans. It is a shame as there is lots of stuff for sale there, but I cannot stop and look because of the debilitating heat. Why not ventilate this space properly? Why not add some thermal mass to what seems to be a temporary greenhouse of a building? I don't know how the poor staff tolerate these conditions.
One other thing about this place is that once a year is as frequent as you need because the stock doesn't change during the year as far as I can tell. If they didn't have what you wanted last time you went, there's no point coming back for at least two years.
There are toilets near the tills, if you need them, but they are not visible until the end.

Great choice of plants and a lot of good offers on plants and garden stuff. Worth a visit if you are in the area. We managed to pick up a good alovera plant for a very good price. 10/10. Very friendly staff members too

I shop here when I'm feeling flush or if someone else is paying.... Not the cheapest place to buy plants. But it has a good selection and IF YOU ASK THE RIGHT STAFF MEMBER the advice is good. If not, the advice is "you need to ask such and such as I just with in the till🙄"
Good healthy plants

Excellent choice of plants, priced realistically for all budgets, we did not stop here for more than an hour, so limiting this post, did however buy two Daphne perfume princesses, and one sarcococca winter gem, for a small border by the rear patio.

Always a beautiful place to visit. However lots of customers were very disappointed because they closed early on Christmas eve. Some people were hoping to get last minute bargains I.e.chrismas trees. Bearing in mind Christmas eve was a normal working day for many.
