S. T.Love love love. So many different plants and flowers. Run by a charity so all proceeds go to them. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The Cafe is quaint and stock some yummy treats and cakes. Outside they have some lovely little sheds with homemade crafts, also some fresh veggies and eggs. Highly recommended. Been twice in a week.

G.This is a wonderful garden centre, I am always happy to browse and buy here as the prices are very fair, lots of exciting stock, they have their own nursery on-site and it’s an ethical business who contribute back into the community by supporting and mentoring people who have learning and mental health difficulties. Oh, and there’s a lovely cafe too! And it’s all part of Mayfield Park so you, the kids dogs, whatever, can while away a few hours easily

J. P.A wonderful find nestled close to the park. The plants are all in such good condition and very competitively priced. The large garden centres lost a customer today.
The cafe is also worth a visit, I highly recommend their homemade cakes.
G. D.I recently started gardening and found Mayfield through Google having just moved to the area. I have now been back a number of times and have filled my garden with Mayfield plants that are all thriving. Recently we attended for mothers day tea which was so lovely. We will definately go back to the cafe. Staff are always friendly and helpful and go out of their way to find you what your looking for or give advice. I won't buy plants anywhere else now. The quality and range is better than some of the larger garden centres and it feels good to spend money there considering it goes back to a worthwhile cause! Highly reccomend a loyalty card if your just starting out, I saved £9 on two climbers this week which was well worth the short form you need to fill out to get a card. Will be back very soon!
A. W.Lovely local horticultural nursery with other local wonderful craft type shops within the nursery grounds (view attached photos).
Cafe' no longer available 18.12.20. All seating closed to customers.
No access to toilets 18.12.20.
One disable parking bay near entrance where hand sanitizer is stationed. One way system which is clearly signed posted.
Gravel on ground in places will make wheel chairs hard work whilst pushing.
Apart from the amazing plants around the nursery you can also buy assortment of local brewed wine.
Staff very friendly and helpful

D. E.A little thin on the ground for plants at the moment. And prices seem to have crept up a bit. I'm going back again for bedding plants at the end of the month. Hopefully I can be a little more positive with my experience then. It's such a well worth charity that I would like to keep supporting it. They were doing a lovely little menu of bacon rolls. But went there this week and only cakes, sandwiches and drinks available. They have several stalls and the vegetable one is particularly good and cheap. Shall keep going to offer my support. But wont be buying all my plants from there sadly

D. L.There are plenty of plants on offer at very reasonable prices. They have trolleys you can borrow to take heavy or bulky items to your car. There is a cafe but it was closed for refurbishment when we were there (Sept 2021). There is also a row of small stalls selling crafty items, vegetables, and small tools. There was hardly anyone there, which was surprising as the choice of plants is just as good as any garden centre.

T. K.Amazing place to relax or shop for gardening supplies. They have lovely staff who are always happy to help. There are always events going on. They hold lots of social and support groups. They sell fresh fruit, veg and eggs, as well as homemade items such as ornaments, Christmas decorations and beautiful framed photographs of their flowers. The nursery is set in beautiful grounds, so why not go for a stroll after you've stocked up on gardening supplies? I thoroughly recommend it here.
E. K.A proper nursery, with a wonderful selection of very healthy specimens that all beg you to take them home. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and nothing is to much trouble. The tea room is a lovely touch but they haven't lost sight of the fact that they are there to sell plants. It is refreshing not to be bombarded by gifts that have nothing to do with gardening. We love it and do our best to fully support their cause.

J. H.Been buying my Christmas trees here for the last few years. Never too much trouble for the staff to get the trees out for you to check over for the one you want. Might be a couple of pounds more than other places but as all profits help the charity I am happy to pay. I like to buy plants here when I need them as there is usually a good selection and it is local to me. You can get a drink and even have a walk round the park gardens.

Jeszcze sezon ogrodniczy nie rozkręcił się na dobre ale szkółka tętni życiem i można już nabyć wiele pięknych roslin w przystepnych cenach. Przy okazji wypić kawe w gościnnej kawiarence i pospacerować po pięknym parku w sąsiedztwie szkółki. Obsługa przemiła i życzliwa.
