James, Nathan and Luke have totally transformed our old garden which was unfit for a little one to use to something we can now use as a family space and an extra room when the weather is good. From the first time we met James we could tell his passion for the job and he was the only person who fully understood what we wanted, even though at the time we didn't really know! But after a detailed discussion we came up with a great outdoor space to that we'll use in years to come. We highly recommended James and his team, they were very professional and friendly and wouldn't hesitate to use again, in fact we are already discussing more work James right now.

After having been let down badly a year before I turned to James for help after seeing a friend's garden he had built from scratch on a new build site. Whilst I knew roughly what I wanted to achieve its fair to say I'm no landscaper. Immediately James was brimming with suggestions, ideas and enthusiasm for my project. He listened carefully to our wish list and developed a scheme that ticked all of our boxes but with added flair and unique modern bespoke design features. When work started Nathan & Luke arrived with him. What great hard working blokes. They turned up on time every single day and worked full days throughout my 5 week project. Their attention to detail was second to none and the standard of their work exemplary. Any questions or queries I had were answered and addressed quickly. The project was completed on time and James made sure we were satisfied with the final outcome. I would have no hesitation recommending Gardens by James Dobson. One word of warning - these guys can drink coffee for England so stock up!!

As newcomers to the Area we approached James after reading the excellent reviews on his Website. At our first meeting he was very professional and enthusiastic about the proposal for the garden at our new build property. He made very helpful suggestions particularly on how to manage an issue with the levels. During the initial stage and throughout the project his communication with us was excellent. During their time with us James and his team were hardworking and very polite. Nathan’s attention to detail was meticulous and Luke always provided very good support as a member of the team. We found the process stress free and we enjoyed watching the project develop.We are now looking forward to spending time in our new garden and have no hesitation in recommending James to other potential customers.

I have recently had my garden landscaped by James, Nathen and Luke and I must say they was nothing short of amazing. Such hardworking people and a great attitude to boot. Their design ideas was nothing but amazing and they always stretched themselves to the impossible. Great communication, time keeping, respectful and also great company to have at your property. James and his expert team are incredibly skilled and we would wholeheartedly recommend them for any garden project. From the initial meetings with James to plan what we wanted from the garden, we were so impressed with the care and attention he took to make sure it was just what we wanted. James visited us a number of times prior to starting to ensure we were happy and to answer any questions we had. Our garden project spanned the time during lockdown; we were half way through when work had to stop. We will always be grateful to James for the responsibility he took and the effort he made to enable our young family to have a temporary, usable and safe space in our garden to see us through lockdown, before he had to ‘down tools’. We were especially glad at this point to have chosen a landscape gardener with such strong values of customer care, as it was never more important than at that time. Great company to deal with. James comes with whole host of ideas about how to make your garden look great whilst taking on board all of your requirements. he went away and came back with some fantastic ideas that we ran with. Literally nothing was too much trouble, including entertaining our young twins when he was on site. Did a great job of our back garden, so we had him back to do our front garden and driveway too, couldn't be happier with his work. Highly recommended.

Amazing, Awesome, Beautiful, Stunning, Unbelievable, I could carry on ad infinitum. What James and Nathan have done is way, way beyond our expectations and dreams. They have worked unbelievably hard to transform our unloved outdoor area (it couldn’t be described as a garden), into somewhere we just can’t stop looking at in awe and wonder, somewhere we want to spend time. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough. The pride that they have in their work is more than well deserved, the attention to detail is second to none and the process from initial meeting to completion was done with confidence. James listened to what we wanted to do and was able to supply us with samples, quotes, contracts, and any other details we wanted along the way. Both James and Nathan were here when they said they would be and they worked non-stop. Even when they had a brew they had it while working. They made sure that the areas they were working in and through were kept as clean and tidy as possible by laying covers and upon completion everywhere was thoroughly cleaned and tidied. I don’t know how much more we could say without making this an essay on how it was all done. Our desire for porcelain was discouraged by so many people we had out to quote that we were starting to think it wouldn’t be possible within the realms of our budget. We are so glad that we didn’t give up. The skill that James and Nathan have working with this material is clear for anyone to see, as is their passion to get things right. If you are considering having your garden done, these are the guys to choose. If you want it done right first time and you want long lasting quality work it is a no brainer and we have already set our sights on having them back to do our front garden. We highly recommend Gardens by James Dobson if you want a superb garden. Fantastic service from start to finish and an outstanding end result. We gave James our brief when we first met and he went away and came up with the initial design and quotation. From this point the design was enhanced to add in a Rill water feature for the extra wow factor. What separates James, Nathan and Luke from the others is their attention to detail and they won’t cut corners from laying the sub base to laying the tiles.
