Absolutely fantastic service. Dropped a kilt off that I needed cleaned quickly. I also needed a small hole fixed. They ended up getting it back to me four hours later and called the local kilt shop who fixed the hole for me immediately after. Cannot recommend more.

I couldn’t recommend this family business enough. Jim and the team go out of their way to help you. Clothes come back impeccably ironed. They also clean larger items like blinds, duvets etc as well as dry cleaning. Also if you want to hire the rug doctor for cleaning your own carpets sofas etc is another service they have, I have used. No matter whether you go in at 8am or 5pm any day of the week , you will always receive the happy smile of the staff. They genuinely care about their customers and nothing is too much trouble. I have used this dry cleaners for almost 1 year now after it was recommended to me. I think they are the best in town. Jim is very professional and can go into detail about what they will do. I brought my Chanel jumper here as it was a little discoloured and they made a great job of it, good as new. The same for a Louis Vuitton shirt which I thought was ruined until Jim sorted it out. I only use this dry cleaner now, if they can’t fix it, it can’t be fixed. Strong recommend!

I was due to attend a wedding and realised two days before that the jacket i’d intended to wear had a large very noticeable makeup/tan stain on the front. I telephoned Giffnock Dry Cleaners and asked if they did an express service which fortunately they did. I dropped it off at 3:40pm and uplifted it at 4pm the following day and it looked perfect, all thanks to Angie. Great service and helpful friendly staff. After getting married, my husband suggested that I get my wedding dress cleaned sooner rather than later but finding somewhere was always going to be difficult with the amount of dry cleaners within Glasgow! But after finding Giffnock Dry Cleaners, I will be suggesting them to everyone I know! Jim was lovely, he booked me in for a 15min appointment so that he could have a look and see how dirty my dress was and gave me a quote. I didn't feel pressured into saying yes but I knew that with all the positive reviews, it was where I wanted to go and get my wedding dress cleaned. He said it would take around 10 days and it was his wife who cleaned my dress for me in her shop. She posted the before and after photos on her Instagram page and even from the photos, my dress looked brand new again after having a wet & muddy barn wedding! The turnaround time was also quicker than what I expected and I was so happy when I was able to pick up my dress 10 days later. I will definitely be going back for other dry cleaning! Read good reviews, so had to try as my down jacket was needing cleaning, and when you see the cost of home cleaning products and time involved it made sense to have it cleaned professionally. From arrival at shop until collecting today the whole process was painless. This is one of those dry cleaners you hear about that can do just about anything - it's an absolute gem! They managed to get a pretty bad pollen stain out of a jumper for me. Anything I've put in for dry cleaning so far has come out well cleaned and well pressed - they are very conscientious about what they're actually handing back to you! The customer service is 5/5, they'll always do their level best if you need something done quickly, they're a pleasure to deal with. I live 45 minutes away from them but I think they're worth the journey.

A little gem of a place! After a friend's recommendation, I handed in a silk tie (with half a jug of gravy down it!) and a cream silk jacket which really had seen better times. Gave my mums wedding dress into be cleaned. The guy was really helpful as it was an old dress with no care labels on it. Some cleaners probably would have not taken it because of this. Although not perfect on return he spent time on it to try and get it as good as it could be. Would definitely recommend him with any precious garments that you have.

Jim the owner is the most knowledgable dry cleaner I have ever come across. Over the years he has saved a number of garments which would otherwise have to have been dumped. His knowledge is not just limited to dry cleaning as he gave me lots of great advice when I hired a Rug Doctor machine from him,he also advised me to take extra solution adding that he would be more than happy to refund me if it wasn’t required.Good advice indeed as I would have run out of solution when the shops were CLOSED. Dry cleaning shops are not in general renowned for pleasant light hearted banter but Jim and his staff provide a high standard of conviviality and expertise when visiting the shop.How many other Dry Cleaners can claim this.??

I use Giffnock Dry Cleaners on a very regular basis and have had nothing but excellent service from Jim and the other staff. You might find cheaper pricing in the big supermarkets, but you will not find this level of service. Jim has bent over backwards to help me out when needed, including doing same day service when I had issues with items I was to wear the next day. When you take into account the loyalty scheme and the discounts (4 items for the price of three, etc), the prices work out well and its worth the extra small amount for this excellent local service, where you are a person and not simply another random number. I have used GIffnock Dry Cleaners for everything from t-shirts (no inclination to iron), to shirts and delicate ladies clothing / scarfs. Everything was treated with respect and done well and if they cannot clean something, you will be told there and then - or advised that they will try but might not be successful, so you know exactly where you stand.

I took in a beaded evening gown which the Americans call ‘throw away’ (as they are supposed to be worn once and discarded) however I have now worn this dress twice and had it cleaned here on both occasions and it looks good as new, didn’t lose a single bead! The service is also prompt and the owner accommodating. I had a work dress I needed back quickly and he phoned me the very same day to tell me it was ready. You know you are leaving your clothes in good hands.

I stupidly went to a different dry cleaners in Newton Mearns (not the Broom one) at first to have my Canada Goose coat cleaned. Unfortunately I should have read the reviews on Google before hand as they were terrible and my coat came back barely any better. As soon as I went to Jim at Giffnock dry cleaners he was exceptionally helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Jim told me that he owns the business and I was grateful that he took the time to discuss the process with me. He showed me some recent information regarding Canada Goose coats and made me aware of any issues that could arise. I took 2 coats (my husband's and mine) and they are both limestone in colour so they show the dirt very easily and were very dirty. I asked for them back in 6 days and Jim told me he would contact me when he had cleaned them. He advised me that because of the colour of the coats, they may have to go through the machine a few times. Jim phoned me personally 2 days later to say that the coats were clean and they had came up brilliant. I have just picked them up today and I'm honestly shocked. They look good as new and I thought they would never be clean again.. I paid slightly more than the first dry cleaners to have these cleaned but I now realise you definitely get what you pay for. I basically threw my money down the drain by going to Mearns Dry Cleaners and the quality in Giffnock dry cleaners is evident. Cannot fault the service! I will definitely use this shop again and I highly recommend anyone in Glasgow to invest in someone who knows exactly what they're doing. Giffnock Dry Cleaners are the best that I have found.. Thanks so much!

Normally my husband transports all dry cleaning but as he was unavailable I decided to take our giant king size duvet [must have been designed with Henry VIII in mind and I now realise why it was so heavily discounted when I bought it]. On the journey to Giffnock dry cleaners it felt as though the rear of my Nissan Micra had been taken over by a giant dougball to which a giant dose of yeast had been added. Luckily when I got to GDC there was a parking space right outside.,Jim the owner noticed my losing battle to get duvet from the car to the shop and came to my aid took it into the shop ,he offered to deliver it after cleaning ,an offer which I readily accepted. The customer in front of me was being advised by Jim about the efficacy of having his expensive curtains lined and Jim was also able to give him a short list of possble contactors.It came as no surprise to hear advice being given to this customer re a household problem as Jim had given us really good advice when we hired the Rug Doctor carpet cleaning machine from him.More recently he advised my husband of a product for solving the problem of "bobbling" on his cashmere scarf. So,next time you are putting in something to be dry cleaned and you have a household problem you're not sure about how to resolve,just ask Jim, I'll be surprised if his response doesn't put you on the right track.
