I got my massive feather down sofa innards cleaned. The “wet dog” smell has completely gone and the pillows are now super fluffy (see the difference of the middle two pillows that were cleaned in the picture). Will be going back for any dry cleaning as the service was super friendly, informative and professional. There’s also some really cool art in the front of the shop.

Fantastic specialist dry cleaners that also supports creative talent. The owners Fran & Tony could not be more welcoming and they provide a genuine friendly service for the local area. They also collaborate with and give space to Asian artists and designers. Highly recommended

My experience was incredible. Tony was very responsive and professional. I needed an urgent same day wash and dry, and not only did he do it all, he also called me at the end of the day to remind me to pick it up. I've used the Steamroom for almost 5 years since I moved to Hackney. In the past couple of years, the shop has undergone a trendy makeover in keeping with it's East End location. It now incorporates a "lifestyle" store and gallery for local artists, which makes for interesting browsing. But the same high quality standards of a specialist laundry service remain at its core: The owners are friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and careful with your prized clothes. They will give you an honest appraisal of the likely outcome from dry cleaning of your designer coat with hard-to-remove stains. They will give you tips on how to care for your woolens and delicates. And, if you want, you can buy a Steamroom branded T-Shirt on the way out....

I've been loyal to The Steam Room for the 7+ years I've been in Hackney, despite now living closer to alternative dry cleaning options. What those places are like, I wouldn't know. If you need anything cleaned or mended, the services here are professional, consistent, fast and great value. Beyond that, Tony, Fran and Tony's Dad are wonderful people, and we've become good friends. It's been fun to watch their business and space grow and change over the past years - from a shop featuring Tony's own merch, to a gallery supporting local artists, a cafe collaboration, etc. etc. This is a really special place in the community. Always excited to see what they do next.

Fab dry cleaners. A friendly family-run business. Personal, up front service. My coat came back smelling not at all like harsh chemicals. Good value pricing. But by far the best thing is all the cute home knick-knacks in the front of the store, many of which spark joy my friend.

I've used a few of the dry cleaners in Haggerston having lived in the area for a number of years. Tony does a great job and takes great care in doing a thorough dry clean. Very reliable, good prices and turnaround time is usually the next day. Can't rate it higher
