Very convenient place , 1 hour free parking close to it and prices are not bad though. I used to pay £3 in London while here it's £6 but still can't complain. No signs saying for how long the washing cycle is but it washes good I would say .

I found this launderette using a Google search, and reading the reviews, decided to book the large washer to launder a duvet. Chris, who was so friendly and helpful throughout, advised and assisted me with all aspects of my duvet cleaning. He could not have done more and I am thrilled with the result and the service. The premises was clean and tidy, and had someone else using the services on both of my visits. His publicity could be a little better, as although the premises is sited on the main road, on the opposite side from the war memorial, it is not clearly seen. Find it on the corner of Whitworth Crescent and the main A3035 leading across Cobden Bridge.

I used the launderette for the first time the other week as had accidentally spilt coffee all over the duvet. I contacted Chris to arrange to bring it in to use the specific washing machine for it and he was very helpful. He kindly offered to put it in the wash for me and when it had finished moved into the dryer. The duvet came out completely clean free of stains, and it only took 20 mins for it to dry (bearing in mind this was a double duvet 7.5 tog) overall good value for money and really helpful service! Used the launderette today for the first time for a pair of v big heavy curtains. Chris the owner could not have been more helpful! As I was going to use his large machine he met me in person at an arranged time . He then advised me to use the two medium machines and also advised on temperature to use and then the driers after - even had plenty of change with him . Everything was very clean and the results were excellent - so I do not believe anyone’s clothes come out dirty ! ?? Highly recommended , will certainly use them again for oversize loads . I phoned Chris to enquire about washing some duvets. He very kindly offered to meet me at the launderette. When we met he suggested the best and most economical way of washing two single duvets. He was most helpful and organised the machines for me. He text to let me know the washes were underway and suggested a time for me to return. Both items where washed and dried in just over an hour. I could not have wished for a better experience. Chris is so polite and helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending the use of this launderette or the use of Chris’s services. Used this launderette today for the first time as launderette in Merry Oak shut on Monday's during current lockdown. Slightly more expensive on dryers than Merry Oak, but nice and clean with easy parking. Will happily use again.

Washed own duvet at home which was a huge mistake as once wet too heavy for machine to spin. Spoke to Chris who gave great advice and was extremely helpful. The price of washing king size duvet and drying came to £14 which is a lot cheaper than dry cleaners. I am very happy and would recommend.

Clean, tidy and always well maintained machines It is thoroughly cleaned daily and it shows. You NEED to make sure you have your own powder and plenty of change with you, as there is no facility for this like some of the larger launderettes provide. The washing machines are all top loaders and there are no larger sized machines, so you won't be able to wash a large duvet, but there are plenty available and i have never had to wait to use the facilities. The dryers are large and if you have used the washers you have priority over use of them. They are cleaned daily and deep cleaned weekly so there is no fluff or grease to worry about with more delicate items. Note: they only take pound coins - no short 20p cycles! You get about 5 or 6 minutes for £1 so definitely worth spinning as much moisture as possible out of the load to reduce drying time. This launderette has no staff onsite, so the comment about 'service washes' is slightly misleading, but there are adverts for wash, (iron optional) and delivery that I've seen there, and i suspect the owners probably provide this service also although i don't know for sure. As with any unmanned launderette, it's probably best to not leave any valuables unattended, but I have often left a load in the dryers whilst I run errands and have never had an issue. This launderette is my local - it's compact, clean, has everything I need and i love It! (As much as u can love a washing amenity....)

I used the large machine to wash a duvet by appointment as stated on the web-site. Chris the owner was very helpful and I was really pleased with the service and the outcome. Very reasonably priced, the place is very clean and tidy and it's easy to park outside. Would certainly use this laundrette again.

*Duvet washing* Can’t recommend this laundrette enough. I called ahead to book the larger washing machine to clean two mattress toppers and a duvet, it’s £9 per use of the larger machine and £2 for 12 mins in the large gas dryer. This may seem pricey but considering my local dry cleaners price king size at £38+ per duvet I was more than happy to spend less than £30 for all 3! Chris the owner - the service he provided today was just outstanding and he’s so friendly and welcoming. As the larger machine is more specialised he prefers to start it up, load and unload the machine himself (I guess to make sure correct use of it and the items going in aren’t going to cause any damage) so he’ll be there to load and unload at a time that suits you - luckily he was as one of my toppers happened to absorb and retain a lot of water, and ended up weighing what I can only guesstimate as about 15kg so even the large industrial machine wouldn’t spin it!! (This was a teddy bear mattress topper and soaks water like a sponge - we both learnt from this experience) He stayed overtime and assisted me in dealing with it, without him I would’ve been screwed. But now I have 3 very clean items - 2/3 of which are dry and back on my bed the same day, the other I’m just waiting on the water to drain from for 24 hours then I’ll be going back to use his tumble dryers to finish it off. ***A note based on previous reviews from some time ago: people complained RE the price of the dryers - £1 for 6mins. They’re very large gas tumble dryers. I dried a superking duvet in 12mins (£2) and a king size mattress topper in 12mins (£2) I’d say that’s a flippin’ miracle! Tips for users: take lots of £1 coins and Don’t overload the dryers. Spread it in one or two of the dryers if you have large loads to dry, you would most probably get a better result and spend the same amount of money if not less by doing so.

Does the job.I have to use this as my washing machine has broken.It would be very helpful if there was a change machine or a way to pay by debit/credit card.I rarely use cash these days and never have much change.Other than that,it is very quick and always gets my washing clean.
