We've been a customer of Johnathan's since the start of lockdown 2020. We initially had a private home tasting booked in for my birthday but due to Covid we had to postpone it. Johnathan offered us a virtual wine tasting to make up for not being able to have my event in person and that was the start of a fantastic journey! Fast forward nearly 2 years and we've completed nearly every virtual tasting and got some more private tastings booked in. Everyone we've introduced to Bacchus Wine Tasting has loved it! Johnathan's knowledge is second to none, he literally knows so much about wine and he is so passionate, it's clear to see. This isn't a stuffy wine experience, it's laid back, fun and extremely enjoyable!

We participated in one of Johnathan's virtual wine tastings. The selection of English white wines arrived by courier in good time and was well packaged. The tasting session itself was good fun and the wines tasted excellent although they were quite premium priced, so the quality was to be expected. Johnathan's presentation was full of information and was delivered with passion and enthusiasm. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.

I cannot recommend Johnathan and Bacchus wine tasting enough, I wanted to do something special for my 30th and being able to do it in the comfort of my own home was even better. We had an at home tasting with Jonathan on 10th December. It was a surprise birthday tasting for me and was just superb. Jonathan pitches everything perfectly - pace, interaction, level of information and humour. The selection of wines based upon my daughter and son’s brief was both imaginative and outstanding. All of this led to a thoroughly enjoyable evening where Jonathan didn’t impose, but was always there to move us forward gently, at our level of understanding and always with excellent charm and humour. I booked Johnathan as part of a daytime hen do activity in Liverpool - a large group of all ages - and we were entertained from start to finish. Johnathan was super friendly and extremely helpful in the lead up to the event. He tailored the wine tasting to suit our requirements and even added personal touches such as photos and music of our choice. Well… what can I say Jonathan is the most knowledgable wine connoisseur and host! I have attended many of his online tastings and Jonathan really knows his stuff. I’ve learnt something new about different wines every time! He relaxed style makes those attending enjoy the sessions, and he makes learning and enjoying wine / different styles or types of wine fun! Jonathan is also great at bigger events and catered for nearly 20 people for us recently! Everyone remarked how they enjoyed the evening. An amazing evening with the excellent Johnathan. England verses New Zealand wine lived up to expectations. Johnathan’s knowledge & passion for wine tasting is infectious and he certainly had a captive audience. We've been on numerous zoom tastings with Johnathan and they've been a great experience. Johnathan and the guests from the vineyards are very knowledgable and informative, and the wines are superb. There are a lot of wines that you can't pick up on the high street, which shows the research that has been put into each wine tasting session. I would highly recommend trying it for yourself.

Wow! Our daughter and son-in-law gave this wine tasting to the family for Christmas but for obvious reasons,we only got round to it last weekend. What an experience! Jonathan was the perfect sommelier.Extensive knowledge of each wine mixed with a great sense of humour,such a nice bloke.We learned a lot and we laughed a lot and consumed some beautiful wines.We would definitely recommend Bacchus wine tasting whether it be for family, friends or corporate... excellent!

We had such a fantastic time with Johnathan. We were supposed to be in Portugal on a hen party but he brought the vineyards to us! We have enjoyed a number of virtual wine tastings with Johnathan during lockdown but last night we were able to experience wine tasting in person. The setting was perfect, glorious weather for outside tasting, leading us in to the night with a backdrop of stars and fairy lights for our friend's 40th birthday. The evening was fun and informative with spectacular blind tastings of white and red wines and beautiful Champagne (including Winston Churchill's favourite)! I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Johnathan's wine tasting to anyone - in fact, it's one of life's 'Must Do's'!

This is a brilliant concept and very professionally organised, especially good during lockdown for lovers of good wine. Each virtual tasting event is run through Zoom, so no need to leave the house. It's a lot of fun seeing your fellow wine tasters on the screen as Jonathan shares interesting facts and information about each wine, grape, region etc. It provides an opportunity to try wine from different regions, reds, whites and sparkling, those you might not ordinarily buy. You simply book, pay and Jonathan will arrange delivery of the specifc wine for your virtual event. Then on the night get your wine and glasses ready, log in to the link and you're good to go, great way to spend an evening. Highly recommended.

That was a unique experience - some rare opportunities to go behind the scenes at vineyards and sample some incredible English wines.
