Fantastic offering of wines, with staff to match. Ask the staff for a recommendation and you are guaranteed a good evening. They do tastings too, although these tend to sell out in under half an hour!

Really friendly and informed staff that will help you find the perfect wine, and talk you through their tasting notes so you get what you're after, no up sell or miss sell. Great selection of craft beer and table snacks too. This was what I purchased today, they hit the nail on the head with what I was after:

Very interesting selection of good wines at all price levels, with some unusual choices especially from eastern Europe, Greece, etc. Also a good range of quality beers, some rare malt whiskies etc. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Delivery service. I get most of my wine there. They also have interesting tasting sessions, but you have to book those early as they sell out quickly.

The Greenwich store is fantastic. Good selection of interesting wines and the guys are always happy to help. I've noticed there's a reference to the place being pretentious below and I strongly disagree. If you want to go into detail or ask for general tips the guys are happy to do so, but in my experience they've also been great for providing quick recommendations as well (e.g. what do you recommend for £10/15/20, or I'm cooking (dish) what would you recommend?). It's definitely been the best wine shop I've been to and I'm very happy it's here!

Rarely is it such a pleasure to shop - the knowledgeable staff can elicit info to get the right wine for you, or direct you to try something that you will enjoy. They have a great range and have helped me track down and try a range of sherries. They even had the best sherry vinegar on the planet (Lustau) which kept us happy for ages. Not pretentious, just focussed on doing the right thing to please the discerning wine drinker.

Theatre of wine may look like a typical wine store but there's a slightly different take on the idea here. You're unlikely to find a wine that you could buy easily elsewhere in London here and every wine has an interesting story. Much of the time that story is about value and how this wine is essentially the same as some very expensive cousin but it made just over the region boundary, or they have some special relationship with the producer. There are also quite a few bottles here that you cannot buy anywhere else. Ask about the wine and try what they have out, you may we'll find a treasure that keeps you coming back for more, I did.

I was helped by an extremely knowledgeable staff member and managed to find an outstanding bottle. The shop has a lovely interior and an eclectic selection of wine. That, along with the expert help provided I would highly recommend this little shop.

A wine shop run by real lovers of wine. Ridiculously good selection of wines, with staff to talk you through every bottle, be it a midweek <£10 bottle or an age worthy fine wine. They also have a small selection of beers from all over the world, including plenty of classic Belgium and English ales.

Fantastic wine merchant. If you're looking for wine off the beaten track for a price that won't break the bank this is where you'll find it. The staff are always on hand to provide perfect recommendations. And if you want to make a night of it they also run wine tastings to whet your whistle.
