Staff is very nice. Good place to a drink with friends with a number of choice of wine and beers. Just around the street corner, conveniently located. The only disappointment is cannot order through app.

Staff very good. Interesting idea of a wine vending machine. Load a card with an amount you want then try various wines. 3 options fot each wine of small, medium or large glass. Not sways easy to see if bottle is nearly empty. I ended up with a glass of air which at around £3.50, was expensive. However staff resolved the problem quickly.

Such a great place to have a date night! Salut does wine tasting but it is self serve so you can pick your wine and serve yourself almost like a soda fountain machine. The wine and cheese were great, the service was excellent and they have tables outside to enjoy the Manchester nightlife from the view of your table.

The ordering process could be improved - the menu is only online, no paper, which is fine but you can't order online, only in person and it feels a little disjointed. Nice wine bar with a modern twist. You add credit to a store card to purchase your drink. It's a very transparent method of selecting wines. It's a nice atmosphere with friendly staff. I would say the automation of the bar means you lose out on a few recommendations from an experienced sommelier, but on the flip side, you don't get judged for buying some cheaper plonk! Nice place and I would recommend.

Good choice of wines and I like that you can get small volumes to.allow you to try. However, I didn't feel the venue was sticking to government COVID regulations. Customers weren't properly socially distancing and there was a large table next to us where the people were clearly from different households. I didn't feel especially safe at the venue so I'm not sure I'll be back until infection rates drop.

pleasant enough place, clean, modern and bright, although lacking a little something in charm and ambience maybe. only table service lately, so we couldn’t use the machines. wine was decent enough, although rather expensive at around £9+ for a 125ml glass. Selection wasn’t fabulous either, maybe around 15 reds by the glass (not including port and fortified wines). Also the menu lacked detail, very little info on each wine, just the name, grape and country with of course the usual tasting notes. I’d expect a little more from somewhere that specialises in wine. year and alcohol content maybe? we had a couple of food boards, which were ok, nice to have a nibble with the wine, although the vegan board was so drenched in oil it left left a small pool of oil on the table. no need for that! sorry, I really wanted to like this place, and I did like it, kinda, but it didn’t fulfil my expectations.

I love Salute wines, although I am a little annoyed that they have listened to the 'people' who have no idea about how cold wine should be, the sooner establishments understand that white wine should be served so you can taste it the better, but at least you can warm it with your hands. Back to the glowing review, the staff are knowledgeable and keen help if you need help. I don't really think of this as a place to come and eat although they do some bar snacks etc... It is far more a place to visit after lunch to while away the afternoon drinking/tasting wine, and it is easy to do this with the options of 3 glass sizes starting at 50ml. I love this place.

Interesting place. We came from London to stay the weekend in Manchester and met up with some friends here. They serve nibbles but I didn't have any so couldn't comment. The atmosphere was lacking something, however the rustic style of furniture and self serve wine machine was interesting and cool. Give it a try but don't spend more than 1 hour here.

Love going here. Great wine selection. You get a card to credit card from behind the bar that you charge with cash so you can use the wine dispenser. Or you can buy full ones. It's nt the cheapest but the wines are good. Don't expect to find cheap reds or whites

Wonderful place. If you haven't been before their concept is amazing and lets you enjoy the place without rush or pressure. Ask for a preloadable card and pay to put the same amount onto the card. Then around the corner there is a vending machine of sorts where there must be around 40 wines you can choose from. Grab a wine glass, insert the card and choose which wine and size you want. Prices are above the wines so you know what you're getting yourself into. On the other side of the establishment there is a whole wall of wine that you can purchase. If memory serves me right you can buy to take off site, or to consume straightaway. I imagine prices are slightly different but a nice touch to see such variety of drinks. I would go there for a little pre celebration or pre dinner drinks. I've been there for quiet dates and also to celebrate graduation ceremonies and the atmosphere has been appropriate each time!

You can find a lot of wine bars but this one offers a unique experience by giving you opportunity to try several wines. Service is at excellent level which is being developed in Manchester restaurants. Stilton and red wine selection are particularly great. Apparently they have 32 wines, all available by the glass in 50ml tasting measures, 125ml & 175ml by using a machine. I tried only 8-10. They also have a further 350+ wines, which one one of them will be a gift to a lucky friend in the future.

Amazing place, brilliant atmosphere and a great experience. The wine menu is just a wall of wine, pick your wine, buy it, get it decanted and enjoy. Also you have the option to top-up a prepay card and use digital optics to get samples. Definitely a place worth visiting, but be mindful it is pricey, but very much worth it.

The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable too. You can pre pay on a card and use that in the vending machine or leave your card behind the bar and add credit as you go.

We visited Salut to celebrate my partners 30th birthday and the experience and service from the moment we entered till we left was beyond compare: an absolutely fantastic way to celebrate with a group of friends. Upon our arrival Nick explained how the system worked and got us set up with a card, we ordered some food and my partner was given a glass of fizz in honour of his birthday which was a wonderful touch. The wines available are very carefully chosen and the system itself is easy to use, the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and were always available to discuss particular likes and dislikes as well as make recommendations. The attention to detail was spot on throughout our time here, from the water being served and topped up, no empty glasses were left on the table too long and the staff enquiring about the wines we were having didn't feel intrusive, merely that they were taking a keen interest and were genuinely passionate, which only added to the experience. The food was delicious and just enough to keep us going until our evening meal, very fresh and tasty. There are many bars/restaurants in Manchester, some far more established, however give Salut a try as you won't be disappointed. The amount of thought that goes into every aspect and interaction with their customers is a refreshing experience in itself. The wines are very carefully chosen, the food delicious, the staff knowledgeable and friendly. Big thanks to Nick and the guys here, we can honestly say that this really kicked off the birthday celebrations in style. We'll be going back, loved it.

Salut Wines delivers a great experience for people who either love wine and know loads about it, or those who love it and know nothing about it. The enomatic (I think that's what they are called) machines at their bar in Manchester are so easy to use; we just bought a £20 charge card and had loads of fun tasting about 10 (I think, it was a bit hazy after a while) different wines. They always have 32 to choose from and the atmosphere is brilliant. What a perfectly civilized way to get sozzled.

The enomatic machines offer a selection of 24 self-serve wines to try by the glass: 12 white, 12 red. These are regularly rotated. They also offer nibbles for those of you who have over-imbimbed.

This is my happy place in Manchester. If you are a wine enthusiast you know how hard it is to find good quality wine well priced in the UK. Not only do they have an Enotec that allows you to try delicious wines by the glass but they also have a selection of cheese, cured meats and vegetarian options to pair with the wine.
