J. U.My boyfriend bought us a tour at Slake's new The Chalk House Distillery for my birthday and it was a really fun and interesting experience. Thomas is a brilliant host who explained the methodology behind the company and how the different drinks came into existence.
As interesting as it was to see how the gin is made, it was learning about the background and ethos of the business which made this tour unique. You can really see the passion behind the gin!
We had the "Thundersbarrow" tour and would definitely recommend the same to anyone interested in an enjoyable few hours with plenty of good quality gin!

After discovering a passion for gin we have tried countless gins, both local, British and international and this really is the finest. Both varieties are excellent but the original gin is our absolute favourite, so much so it was the top item on my husband’s birthday list! It has an incredible depth of flavour and is lovely either neat or with any sort of tonic. The customer service is responsive and the company is super friendly, and the new packaging is so beautiful - definitely appropriate to send directly as a gift or as a gift to yourself just because ;)
