Rang to get a quote for a change of locks after we thought the locks at our tenanted property had been compromised. Sean gave us a really reasonable quote and said he could change the locks the same afternoon. It turned out the locks hadn't been compromised and it had been an attempted burglary. Had lost my key and was thinking it was going to be a huge hassle to sort it out as I've never called a locksmith before. I googled locksmith Preston, saw the reviews and that it was affordable, made a call and they were here in the next ten minutes! And it was sorted in the next 15 minutes! So much easier than I thought it was going to be and really friendly guys, would definitely call again if I was in a tricky situation. It's quite rare to find a tradesman as excellent and dedicated as Shaun the locksmith these days. My elderly parents had a problem with their patio door not opening and closing properly it being very difficult to use and lock. Mum had given up,leaving it to dad to operate. After reading the good reviews about Shaun's business I thought I'd give him a try. He came round as promised,texting me to say he was on his way. He quickly assessed the door telling us it needed a new rail. The original installer of the door refused to supply the part,presumably because they wanted to make a lot of money by fitting a new door when it wasn't necessary. Shaun went well out of his way to find the correct rail and fit it that very day, having given us a very favourable estimate!. Communication was exceptional. It was a big job,being a very heavy door,but he and his mate John managed it in very good time. Not only did Shaun complete the job but also supplied a new lock and even cleaned up the frame afterwards. All this,done in an afternoon,and for a fantastic affordable pre quoted cost which he stuck to. Now my parents can open and close the door very easily as it's like new again. UPDATE 20/9/22 Mum and dad's door mechanisms were playing up. Sean turned up within a couple of hours and sorted them quickly,the charge was very fair and affordable. Sean really is the best tradesman I know and is highly conscientious and knows the job. I highly recommend him and his work. Thanks Sean! I called this company several months ago - only just getting around to the review. Shaun came out and helped us with a door that had been damaged by fire service while gaining entry to property in an emergency. He was absolutely lovely with my elderly relatives, patient too and showed genuine care for their welfare and safety. I snapped the key into the keyhole and I got one locksmith who quoted me and arm and a leg. “This certain locksmith stormed out on me as I didn’t want the door drilled after he had told me there was no other way to get the snapped key out.” I then rang Shaun who arrived at the property in 15 minutes. wow, im so impressed with shaun's skills as a locksmith and his prices. I called after losing my keys to my house. He was with me within 25 min... so quick response! Shaun arrived and knew exactly what to do. he was very polite and knew his stuff. he told me exactly what type of lock i had just by looking through the key hole. he explained it was just a part of his job to know makes ad models of locks and explained in depth just how different each one could be as he picked open my 5 lever mortice lock without drilling a hole in my door. that impressed me as my friend called a locksmith and he put a few holes in her door! In all shaun opened 2 locks within 5 minutes. he charged me the lowest price ever as id already callwd around for a few qoutes and shaun waa by far the cheapest. hes a really nice guy who taljs to you and reassures you all will be ok. what a fantastic service... Brilliant! Thank you Affordable access locksmiths.. Highly recommend to anyone in same dilemma.
