After calling several numbers without an answer and one letting me down. Shane actually called me back to say he had missed my call. He was polite, courteous and professional. I was unable to unlock our front door as the spindle was broken. He was at our house within the hour and diagnosed the problem immediately. He then proceeded to first gain access which was a real pig to do I could tell, but he got on with it without complaint and replaced the parts necessary and now my front door works better than it did originally! All done very quickly and professionally. I would highly recommend Shane to anyone. 5☆ rating from us. Many thanks Shane.

I changed a mortise lock for the first time ever and it was standing proud, so I chiselled out some more of the door frame and I thought “hey, I think I got it” and tried it by closing the door. I hadn’t screwed in the lock and it slipped, so that I was effectively trapped in my flat. I rang Affordalock and Shane told me what to do to open the door. It worked and I was freed. Then he texted me a while later to check whether I was still trapped. His advice didn’t cost me a penny, but I feel I owe him at the very least a crate of beer. I’d never have escaped without his help. If I ever need a locksmith again, this will be my first port of call.

No problems - was a couple of miles away so arrived within 10mins. Mechanism within uPVC door that controls the additional locking bolts within the door (gearbox?) had failed with bolts in place so door couldn't be opened. Tricky to get open, but even so done and dusted well within an hour, replacing just the 'gearbox'. Interesting works 'van'! ;-)
