An excellent learning environment exceeded only by the quality of the tutors found here. I have no hesitation in recommending the London School of Sports Massage to anyone with a genuine and serious interest in learning how to help others through remedial bodywork. If however you just need some qualification to start work, then there are many far cheaper options, but you really do get what you pay for, and I cannot stress this enough. If you want to invest in your education and future career, then LSSM is the direction to take. I myself was recommended them by an excellent professional Swedish massage therapist, she told me that she only gets massages for herself from those that have graduated from LSSM. Now I know why!

After I decided I wanted to do a course in Sport Massage and doing quite a bit of research on courses and asking around, it became evident very quickly that LSSM was the real deal if I wanted to get the most value for my money. I can honestly say it is the best money I have ever spent on a course (for those of you who thinks it is too expensive) and I have gone to University and taken quite a few courses such as level 3 Personal training, wellness coaching, nutritional courses etc. (let's just say I study a lot!) Even though it is a foundational course, the practical skills I got from this course was showing in my treatments even before I was finished and we had learned all techniques. The feedback I have gotten from my clients have been it is the best massage they have ever had, or that they have never experienced such quick results from my unique techniques before. I would especially recommend this course if you are a personal trainer as it will be an invaluable tool for you to help your clients even further and will give you loyal clients for life as you can help them in a way no one else can!
I do want to warn you though, if you are not ready to put in the hours to study for the assignments or carve out time to do your practice hours for your log book, then you will probably give up very quickly and then it is money down the drain. This is a serious course that will require time and effort from you - however, in the bigger picture you invest 1 year of your life into something that will give you loyal customers and possibly a career change for the rest of your life! Again, best investment I have done!

I thought I was signing up for a sports massage course. I have very much enjoyed learning soft tissue release, NMT and MET which I think really puts us one step above just a sports massage therapist. The course was demanding and stressful at times but I feel one weekend every month gives you sufficient time to study and get practical sessions in between. I think the course has an excellent balance between sitting down listening to lectures in the morning and then practicals in the afternoon. I wasn't expecting the additional bonus of business lectures and nutritional lectures to help us with our career and personal health for the future. The tutors were all extremely friendly, confident and helpful and I want to say thank you to Mel who has been most encouraging throughout the year. I am very much looking forward to a change of career and can't wait to enter the world of therapy. Thank you.

So far I have completed the introductory weekend but I am signed up to complete the full L5 Diploma Course.
The weekend spent at LSSM was brilliant. The staff are extremely personable, welcoming and evidently knowledgeable. Their passion for their work and the industry really comes through.
The weekend flew by and has only made me more eager to complete the course and set out in my new career with the best educational foundation from LSSM.

One of the best things I've done in life by far! Completing the Level 5 diploma was fantastic. I travelled from Birmingham each time and I could not recommend it enough. The teaching was fantastic, I met some great people, where we still keep in contact !!! Will be coming back soon for some weekend courses!! Thank you for making my experience at LSSM a memorable one!

I qualified from LSSM in 2010 and after working as a part-time therapist for around a year I have since then been able to earn enough to work full-time as a massage therapist. The thorough training provided by LSSM has enabled me to work in a variety of settings including with the general public, sports clinics, supervising at sports events and within the NHS. My advice to graduates would be to persevere and be open to massage and remedial work that can be found in a huge variety of areas and with all ages. Focus on areas that particularly interest you and find out how you can offer you services there, even if it is volunteering to start with. You never stop learning with LSSM and it has given me a very fulfilling and endlessly interesting career so far!

Having recently completed my training at LSSM, I feel completely prepared, confident and excited about my shift into bodywork, as a ‘Soft Tissue Therapist’.
The tutors are all highly experienced, they are not dictating, but leading you to find your pathway and natural practice as a therapist. But very skilled to be able to go in lots of directions with treatment.
Highly recommend this course to anyone serious about wanting to offer great treatment!

I completed my course with LSSM several years ago. It's honestly the best thing I ever did, I have my own Sports Massage Practice now, and have several LSSM Therapists working with me. This course is outstanding, thank you Mel, and everyone who created such a wonderful learning experience.

For years I have been debating whether to proceed down a rewarding career path in something I have been told many a time from friends and family that I have a good Nat for but for whatever reason took a blind eye to it. Finally took the initial step in registering through LSSM for the introductory workshop weekend in October, which pretty much gave me insight of what to expect from the main Diploma course. (a make or break scenario so to speak) I’m now enrolled on to the diploma course and raring to go. I felt the tutors and support shown in teaching over my introductory weekend was 2nd to none and of high standard which gave me that belief that I could achieve something successful from this. The friendly atmosphere and teaching style which made me confident enough to take the next step in choosing a highly recognised school to begin my massage career with.

This week marks the 12th anniversary of gaining my diploma at the LSSM.
Mel Cash and his team offer a course with several massage techniques, which enables the students to become excellent therapists.
I have worked as a therapist non stop since graduation in 2005 and so have many more who have trained with LSSM.
In 1987 Mr Cash told me he wanted to open a Massage School.
I didn't believe him. 30 years later the school has trained thousands of therapists and I recommend the Diploma course unreservedly.

I just wanted to send a thank you. I spent the weekend on the introductory massage course.
The tutors that we had on the day were all great in their own individual way and they all had a good bit of humour about them! I can honestly say that the time flew by and I’ve never been on a course like it.
I gave my nephew (who’s a weight lifter) a massage yesterday and he really liked it (with regards to relaxation / muscle relief). He never understood why I went for massages but now he does and is a convert! So I obviously learnt something :D
Please pass on a biiiig big thank you (in no particular order) to: Jo, Ruth, Raff, Brian, Al and Mel :) You guys and girls truly made the course funny, fun and thoroughly enjoyable.

Great course, great tutors! Having been a L3 in Sports and working therapist for 15 years i was unsure as to my next path of progression. I was considering doing a L4, when I saw there was a L5 course it was a no-brainer. Learned lots from the course and lots of new methods for my clients.

I'm a successful personal trainer with great knowledge yet I've learned soo much and helped to widen my view regarding rehabilitation, injury prevention and increasing sport performance even.
Almost forgot I also learned how to massage and treat people with minor injuries on a highly professional level.
Don't be fooled, there is a reason why this course cost more and takes much more time to complete and it's because it gives you the difference what you need in a competitive environment.
Anyone can massage, not everyone can treat and produce results.

Mid-way through Level 4 sports massage course and without wanting to tempt fate I'd like to say what a fantastic week's education I've just had. Despite there being a lot to learn in a short time, the quality of Bhavesh's teaching has given my confidence a huge boost. Facilities are excellent at the Harrow school (never been to Kings Cross) and I'm ever so slightly sad to be back home now. Obviously the proof of the pudding's in the eating so watch this space...

Mel and all the other tutors were great support throughout the whole course, sharing the best of their knowledge with us. Life-changing experience for me and for those who I am treating and guiding to live a pain-free life. Thank you!

" I’ve done many, many courses over the past 15 years and this is one of the best structured and organised courses, I loved the variety of presenters who each had something different to offer.
Doing this course has also enriched the way I teach Pilates, I have more in dept knowledge of the body and hands on experience with majority of my clients which was kind of my main objective to start with.
I absolutely love the soft tissue practice and see it being integrated into my work for as long as I work.
Unexpectedly, this course has also made me rethink the way I do my Pilates teacher training programme and will be restructuring it to be more user friendly especially the methods of Assessment and final assessments, so thank you for that too." Monika Z
