Reviews of Step in Reflexology

This hidden gem, tucked away in one of China Town’s many sprawling alleys, is where you go to get your feet filleted, tootsies tugged, and pressure points pinched. If you don’t mind sleeping in front of strangers, you’ll find that this is also an ideal place for a 30-minute power nap. The chairs are comfortable; the place is clean and quiet; and the staff are professionals, formally trained and dedicated to their craft. In other words, they got their technique down and everything, they don’t be ticklin or nothin.

Sunday night bliss; lovely staff, clean and superb massage. So glad to have found somewhere amazing in London after our first reflexology experience in NYC. Ignore the other reviews, staff were quiet and music was low. Will be recommended and returning.

11/09/2021 *This is not the run of the mill massage place you find in China Town this is actually probably the only place that is dedicated to foot massages and the staff there know what they are doing as some one who has had many foot massages I know the standard is quite high so yes recommended.

I've been going to Step In for years - at least once a month -often more. It's a true London secret gem that I can't recommend enough. Staff are all wonderful no matter who works with you and most importantly they get the job done. Best of the best.

Fabulous as always. Have been visiting every time I visit London, probably for about 13 years now! The refurb is a great improvement. Massage as high quality and painful as ever!! Thanks again :)

Amazing place! Couldn’t recommend it enough. Recently refurbished. Very clean. Very polite. Very affordable and the massages are great! Don’t give me wrong… I nearly fainted several times and couldn’t wait for it to be done 😅 but that’s the whole point!

I have been visiting here for many years, receiving reflexology and chinise treatments for various stress related symptoms.
Not for the faint hearted, they have practionars from other countries than just Chinise. Always friendly, some familiar faces and a warm welcome.
If you have feet problems or tensions due to stress related this will help. Though sore for a couple of days as they work fast and deep.

Been there twice now. Best massages I have ever had, really deep, thorough, deep tissue massage at a really good price. No non sense place free of all the frills like spa music and candles. Just simple and effective. All the staff are super friendly. Happy to make this place my regular place.

Went here two weeks ago. Been coming here for a few years now whenever I get a chance and I'm in China Town. I was so pleased to get seen to straight away. Usually there is a queue. This was my first time in London in over 6 months so I was a little anxious, but I didn't need to be. My details were taken for track and trace and all staff wore masks (as did I). I was requested to sanitise my hands upon arrival and had my temperature checked. They even disinfected the area I was sat in upon leaving and had the door open throughout the one hour foot massage. I can't wait to go back again. So happy that the place was strict with the rules as it put me at ease. The massage was painful as ever (I wanted it to be / it is supposed to be!), and as always it really sorted my feet out afterwards! The best authentic reflexology (foot massage) that I've been able to find anywhere in the UK!

Besides for the constant chatter amongst staff - this is a golden find - best reflexology in town, hands down!

Have been going to this place for over 15 years now and have always thought they provided a good service. They recently underwent a revamp which modernised their space, but at the same time, they raised their prices by 30% which makes them as expensive as all of the other massage places in the central London area. I would go for a full body massage vs just a foot massage as you get to go downstairs which is more relaxed.

Fantastic, therapeutic massage - after a year of crouching over a laptop, they undid the knots and unlocked my neck. Highly recommended.

Me and my mum had 45min reflexology. Was lovely experience. Worth going. Excellent service and worth going again.

They have refurbished and new set up looks lots more better. The treatment is still the best. I got treatment from a lady Sue she didn't give up until my pain subsided. Really good.

I’ve been coming here for a decade. All these negative reviewers need to get a grip, it’s £45 for a fantastic massage in central London, don’t expect a posh hotel spa with aromatherapy. This place is clean, the staff are great, the prices are cheap, the waits are short and no booking needed.
£45 (+ a well deserved £5 tip every time) and after an hour you leave feeling refreshed. I get 15 mins back downstairs and then 45 minutes feet upstairs, great combo.
The wooden sticks they sometimes use are proper reflexology massagers to get to the pressure points.

Great place for relieving pain after a long day of walking. The massage is meant to be a little rough but it’s really effective. People complain about the masseuses talking in Chinese all the time but honestly the price and effectiveness of the massage is amazing.
E. R.
I’ve been going there for 15 years. All the masseuses are professional, dedicated and experienced. Deep, quality Chinese massage! Shirley and Su are my favourite!
D. H.
Fantastic massage place. Wife and I only had the reflexology part of the place but it was well worth it. Price was fine and people were very polite.
Someone complained about the people talking and perhaps that could be annoying but...come on, with where the place is located (convenient) and the price(cheap cheap cheap) it isn't a big deal if you're looking for foot pain relief. My wife had some massive pain happening and they made a massive difference.
Rooms downstairs are small for full massages but not sure if that's a big problem. Great place and will return.

Without a doubt the very best reflexology in London. Friendly team from £25 for 30 mins but I recommend and hour at £45. Body massage in safe, trusted environment, both male and female masseurs available. I can't recommend it enough, I've been coming here for 15 years !

Great to unplug and rewind. I have flat feet I suffer from walking even on even ground. Reflexology is good way to relieve pressure to the feet and revitalised.
This place is a no fuss professional massage and reflexology shop must visit after long day on your feet.
A. K.
The foot massage was excellent. If only the people wouldn't talk so loud. Chairs are to oversized and comfortable. They do ask you to prepay, which was unusual for someone from the US, but otherwise, very nice and relaxing for the feet.
A. K.
I wouldn't call it relaxing in the slightest, but in one hour Derek undid 12 years worth of damage from sitting in front of a computer. He got straight to the knots and expertly undid them. No fussing, no scented candles, no oil, just using hands to manipulate muscle. Man it hurt at times but there's no other way to undo all that tension. I've had a lot of massages. This was easily the best I've had. Great value for money.

I have been looking for somewhere that does great reflexology for a while, and so happy to have found this place. :) They really know what they are doing. It is a firm style of reflexology, so be prepared for that - but it is very effective... I have been so much more relaxed during the week after my treatment.

a London gem for those on the go, it might not look glamourous or be a Spa with candles etc or have a masseus you talk to but instead it's a small store where they basically know what they are doing. I've been here 4 times and left really relaxed. I've been to spas and left unsatisfied. It gets the job done for a good price that everything else doesn't bother me. I just put my feet up relax and zone out pay and go about my day.

Was here in June of 2015. My husband and I had bought brand new sneakers for our trip, with a ton of walking we broke our new sneakers in all at once. our feet were extremely sore. We googled and found this place and felt like a million bucks after wards. No wait, was lucky to walk right in and get a massage.
W. G.
I would recommend Step in to anyone. It is undoubtedly the best massage place in london. It offers no frills, straight to the point massages that loosen tight muscels and get you feeling better. The entire staff is friendly and well trained, however I Deric skillfully helped me undo years of damage from sitting in front of a computer.
D. H.
Without a doubt the best massage I have had anywhere. For sciatica relief no frills straight to the knots and pain points. Have found my new local.
A. Y.
Best value for money massage in central london. Experienced staff and great back and feet massages. Recently renovated, but still don't expect too much from the surrounds.

Here is very nice massage shop!! I alway go there when i visit in london!! :-)

Great safe massage feet and body. Trusted staff. Excellent prices. Simple place, no frills but best in soho by far.
d.
great experience. staff was caring and friendly. This was the first time foot massage for our kids. They both enjoyed it very much.....after a long day of sightseeing.

I love this place. Don't go if you want lute music and decorative fountains during your massage. This place is not fancy but the massages are great.
S. C.
Professional massage shop, kindly lovely lady in the front desk, usually had body massage with male masseur, more strong pressure nd deep massage, foot massage definitely best choice here!
H. W.
Straight (absolutely no frills) reflexology place. I enjoy here but prepare to deal with noisy chatty chinese therapists who will happily chat among themselves.
T. M.
Place doesn't look like anything special but the guy worked his reflexology wonder on my bruised foot and I came out 45 mins later almost healed. Would definitely recommend this place.
M. C.
The best feet massage place in London!!! You must go!! you can be sure of effective pain relief!!

Derrick is one of the best

Great place with great people. The foot massage was just what I needed. Will go back again.
B. R.
Very dissapointing: the masseurs talk to each other very loudly in Chinese while doing the massage. Heho I am the one paying! shut up!
N. R.
I have been to half a dozen British reflexologists in the past. These guys are on a different level. Absolutely recommended.
S. H.
I stop here when I'm in London, and yeah, it's no frills, but they fixed sore spots I didn't know I had!

I go here every time I'm in London. Friendly staff, excellent job done by them.

You don't need to make a booking. Just walk in. They are busy but there are enough staff and I normally get seen to within 5 minutes. It is very open (men and women together) for reflexology but I believe there are more private rooms downstairs. Having said this, the open space upstairs is very peaceful despite them being busy and seats are comfortable. Very good. Clean and they sanitise after each customer. They do take card but prefer cash if you have it. Located on a side alley near Chinatown. Definitely recommend.

(Translated) Please do good massage. The price is also cheap by London standards. I hope it's a little cleaner.
