Went to see David at Future Focus after seeing many physios, chiropractors and osteopaths over a period of about 8 years. Seeing David was the best decision I have made, my back is stronger than it ever has been after only a few sessions. David his diagnosed and fixed the root cause of the problem and significantly reduced the number of treatment sessions that I need. I now only need to see David on an occasional basis.

I was first recommended to David a year ago as I was in great discomfort with my back,hip and legs. David very quickly put my mind at rest and began work to greatly improve my mobility. He has suggested certain excercisis which help tremendously along with regular treatments .It is always a pleasure to visit David as along with his tremendous professionalism and expertise come a warm welcome and always a good laugh. I was diagnosed with a worn/torn cartilage. I was told by an NHS specialist that there was nothing that could be done, I was told to give up my beloved badminton, no swimming or long walks! I went to see David in the hope that he could use his acupuncture skills to relieve my pain as even walking 100 yards was very painful, but on my first visit David assured me that was not the problem, he did not need to use any acupuncture but I really only needed his physiotherapy skills and I know this sounds naff but David Hurley changed my life. I had 4 sessions of massage in all and a chat with David, Now I am well on my way to full fitness, although I have a way to go, I'm walking swimming and soon to be playing badminton again, I couldn't be happier. I would recommend David Hurley to anyone. He is, knowledgeable, calm and very professional.

When I first went to David it was because I had a pulled muscle in my calf. It had been troubling me for several months and I had tried other practitioners without any permanent success. They 'appeared' to cure the problem by manipulating the calf but, every time I attempted to return to fighting (at that time I was involved in martial arts), the muscle would go again. After an initial series of questions David asked me to stand up square to the wall. 'Ok', he said, you have a problem behind your knee'. I was completely flummoxed ( and continue to remain so) at his diagnosis, but he was spot on. Within three visits I was able to put any sort of pressure on the muscle and it never gave out again. Since then I have consulted David on various occasions when muscle problems have caused me pain (I'm 68 so I expect problems) and every time he has diagnosed and treated my problem with the minimum of fuss and maximum success. His work on muscles is magnificent BUT his greatest ability is that of diagnosis. He still flummoxes me with his ability to pinpoint a problem far removed from the site of the pain but now I totally trust him. I have used physios and osteopaths for several decades and I can say that David has a rare talent. PhilB
