I have been off of a bike for about ten years now and I was looking to get back into biking on a smaller scale, as I am a little older now. 😅 I started to look at the café racer type bikes and I came across the Herald Maverick during my search and I thought it looked amazing. I started to call around the recommend dealers and no one was really that helpful, as they didn't have any in stock nor knew when they were likely to get any. I then spoke to David at BMG and he was the most helpful of all of the dealerships I spoke to, even though they didn't have the stock in, but David did promise to call me when the next Maverick came in. He took my details and said he would be in touch. ( we have all heard this before, so I wasn't holding my breath). True to his words, I received a call a few days later from David and he informed me he has just taken delivery of two new Mavericks. I popped into BMG and I was greeted with a warm welcome by all of the staff, even though they didn't know I was a customer that was contacted that very morning. I introduced myself and David took me stright to the Maverick and gave me a great deal of info in regards to the bike and we had a great chat. ( Really nice guy ). David gave me space and time to make my own decisions and wasn't pushy at all. I bought the bike and the transaction was smooth and stright forward. No hassle or problems with anything. I would definitely recommend BMG as dealer and I will definitely be using them again. Please note it's not me on the bike. It's my 15 year old son. The bike is a real beauty and lovely to ride. It is a head tuner and very comfy. Thank you BMG and hopefully see you again soon, as my boy will be needing his own bike in the future. Thanks Cledwyn Exon

I've had 2 experiences here- one on the shop floor & the other with the workshop/ aftercare. The first was so overwhelmingly positive that I'd still really recommend buying from here- especially as a nervous, first time buyer/ rider. Craig was patient & knowledgable, and there were plenty of opportunities to "upsell" various more expensive products that he didn't take- I really felt like he was trying to find the best fit for me. When it came to picking the bike up, 2 of the guys even rode it round to my house: I'd chickened out about riding the bike home & they refused any tip for the extra effort. What a lovely bunch of people, who really seem to care about their job! Unfortunately I've had some problems with the actual quality of the craftsmanship/ warrantee on a Vespa & working through this with the workshop has taken 3 months & a lot of chasing on my part. They were excellent when the no plate fell off due to new gov legislation/ glue though; so I suspect any disappointment regarding quality etc. actually lies with Piaggio/ Vespa.

We received really good service from BMG Richmond when purchasing my new white vespa and everything went smoothly, including a prompt delivery. Having the L plates already in place, a new Oxford lock and a pretty matching helmet was an additional bonus. Registration and road tax was paid, so all we needed to do was insure it. I rode on the day of delivery which was great! Recommend BMG and would use again.

Mechanics are always available via the phone. Good and fast service. I have been taking my scooter to BMG for servicing for the last 3 years. I trust them, I like that they update me on the status of the repairs, cost and timings. Recently, I bought a new scooter from them and the whole process was very smooth. I did not feel rushed into making the decision. They answered all of my questions. They kept me up to date at every stage of the process, called to clarify few things to ensure there are no delays. They took ownership and care of the whole process and ensured scooter was road ready on the day it was agreed.

Phoned up yesterday afternoon about my bike after an incident due to the wind - I knew more or less what needed to be done but the other mechanics I'd phoned up were not willing to sort it out for me. Phoned up BMG and the gentleman very kindly said he could fit me in today (despite being busy!). Brought it in today, told him what needed to be done and went away. Came back, everything was sorted out as per and bike is absolutely fine! Nice check over done too and very reasonable rates. I bought a scooter the Richmond branch just over a year ago. The service I receive there is always fantastic. I've had one or two minor things go wrong with my scooter but they've always resolved them without any quibble whatsoever & covered the work under the warranty. The servicing has been great & my bike always feels spot on after they've worked on it. I've had other bikes & used other bike shops but these guys are the very best I've been to. I can't recommend them highly enough.

This was a really good shopping experience. I wanted to test ride a Vespa Eletricca as a commuter vehicle, and there were two in stock to choose from. I am a complete novice and so I asked any number of naive questions about safety, security, insurance, parking, accessories, clothing, etc etc. Bruce and his team patiently talked me through it all, and it was great to have the benefit of their obvious expertise in all two-wheel matters. The bike itself is quiet, nippy and ridiculously easy to ride. It is also incredibly good fun. Both the Eletricca and BMG are highly recommended!

Before purchasing my scooter I also read the mixed reviews about BMG and the rating didn't fill me with confidence. I walked into the Fulham branch with my mind set on the Vespa GTS 300. First impressions were not great. The girl behind the desk didn't greet me or offer to seek information about my prospective purchase. Even worse, she continued a call to I can only assume a friend complaining about how much work she had to do and how understaffed they were. After looking around the small showroom I actually just walked back out. Later I found myself on Upper Richmond Road and popped into the flagship store. A completely different story and I recommend going here first. The selection of scooters was fantastic, the staff were welcoming and really helped me make the right decision. To get to the point I came back another time and bought the Piaggio MP3 500. I went to pick up the brand new bike and noticed a few scratches, even a crack in the headlight. Obviously I was upset but Craig quickly showed me the chassis number of the bike in front of me and prepared a new bike that they had in stock. A bike with a different chassis number. So yes, s#@t happens but it was dealt with and they didn't try to palm me off with excuses or replace the damaged parts. When I picked up the new bike I received some complimentary extras for the inconvenience. It was very much appreciated and Katya did a great job on the bike overview before letting me ride off. Even at this point I wanted to defer posting a review about BMG because I wanted to consider the after sales. So after a few months the first service was due. I dropped my bike off in the morning and collected it same day. John in servicing listened to some concerns I had and put my mind at rest. I'm still getting used to the noise that comes from the CVT transmission but I've listened to a lot of them now and it seems normal. Then the inevitable happened. After 6 months of wonderful riding, commuting on it every day.... I dropped the bike! It was human error and I was standing still. I lifted it trying not look at the damage and to my shock the bike only suffer minor scratches on the handle bar end, brake lever end and 50L top box that pretty much kept the bike off the floor. Anyway, the front indicator took a whack and the lens smashed. I phoned BMG the very next day as I dropped the bike after working hours. They said they had a lens in their spares box and I popped into the store that afternoon. The lens was supplied and fitted free of charge. What a breath of fresh air. I mean it was only a small piece of plastic but they didn't have to go out their way. It was my fault it was broken. Warranty wouldn't cover this. They just did it, no questions asked. So keep up the good work, the people are everything in these kinds of places (Katya, Craig, John and crew). Keep caring about your customers and we'll not only continue to return but be advocates for your store. I was happy to buy my lid, gloves and more from you. Before long I might even buy a new bike! Still loving the scooter and the beginning to tell myself the scratches I've added give it character. Great perspective Katya. ;)
