First time going into J&S Plymouth yesterday and I was amazed at the amount of stock they have in store, definitely a lot more variety and better selection than a lot of other motorcycle shops I have visited in the south west! All of the staff were extremely helpful, friendly and weren’t afraid of a good chat. They definitely aren’t shy of giving you a good deal on the stuff you’re purchasing when it comes to paying and also happy to price match with competitors prices😄 I would recommend J&S Plymouth to anyone and everyone who is in need of some new gear or bike accessories! I’ll definitely be returning again soon for my next purchase.

Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. I went in to find a pair of gloves that actually fit after several failed attempts with online purchases. I actually made a mistake and turned up before the store opened however the staff were very accommodating and let me in to browse before officially opening. It’s too easy to throw a 5 star review but this one is genuinely worth it. I will definitely be returning to J & S Plymouth in the future to cater for my motorcycling clothing and accessories needs. You can’t beat good old fashioned hands on kit and equipment.

I always use these boys for all my kit! Recently purchased a Shoei lid and couldn’t be happier. Box fresh lid ordered and in stock the next day. As a motorcycle instructor I can burn through kit like there’s no tomorrow and these guys have never let me down in terms of their own pricing structure, excellent discounts and ability to price match. They’re also brutally honest. If they can’t match it, they’ll tell you straight. I personally don’t mind paying a couple of quid more. At least in store you can try on all the kit and I’ve never once seen them try a pushy salesman pitch. I’d be happy to (and regularly do) recommend the Plymouth branch for all your bike kit and accessories. Keep it local 👍

Great place, went to return two pairs of boots I had bought on line, I initially called to make sure they had a good selection of boots to try as the online orders didn't work for me phone answered quickly and politely and told me the info I needed. Went to shop couple days later the Two shop assistants were the right level of helpful not too pushy and in your face but also not ignoring you to scroll on their phones. Told me the pair they thought would suit me best which were double what I had planned on spending, and was no way I could warrant that price. I'm not sure what magic mojo they worked on me but after trying on 4 other pairs I went back to the ones they suggested first. I hate to admit a man can be right. . . 😂. He even refrained from the told you so comment. Shop was clean and well organised good parking outside. Plesant first experience.

Amazing range of clothing and accessories at the Plymouth store. I came up from Cornwall to get kitted out again when my old stuff had worn out. Staff are really helpful and price matched the alpinestars kit I picked out. I had to go back and change the trousers to a different size and there was no problem at all..the manager in there is particularly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Don’t buy online if you can go to a shop, get the right fit and match the price.

Went today for the first time after friends recommended the place for ladies clothing. Living in Cornwall ladies bike gear is hard to find. I made the mistake of going with children so I didn't get a full browse but we spent a good amount of time there. Got myself some new bike gloves and boots. Friendly helpful knowledgeable staff who was very patient with my four herd of elephants I mean children tearing about the pal e did try keep them under control but mummy trying on so much was boring. Anyway short of it I would absolutely go back , without my kids , so I can I get a proper browse but well stocked upstairs and down for all sizes and genders ! What a hidden gem! I've just stumbled upon this place. I never knew it existed. Brilliant range, excellent prices, and have a really good children's section. I'll be back when payday arrives! Update 13th Sept 2022 - I did go back after ordering myself a new helmet. Unfortunately, I got the size wrong and had to return it. Tom sorted everything without fuss. Such a friendly place. It doesn't surprise me at all that there are so many five star reviews on here.

5 stars all day long for J&S. I don't think I've met anyone as helpful and as accomodating as Ian the manager. This guy always welcomes you with a smile remembers your name which is an amazing feet on its own and bends over backwards to be as accommodating and as helpful as humanly possible. A great place to go for gear. They gave me advice on thermal inserts for my gloves and helped me choose a new pair of boots as my current ones were getting a bit old. They seemed very knowledgeable on all the products within the store and also seemed to be willing to go the extra mile by applying a solution to the zip of the new boots to make them smoother. Intend to return in the future to buy a new backpack with a hydration pack.

Yesterday 15.11.2022, I decided to treat myself to a new pair of heated motorcycle gloves. My current gloves are the plug into the bike version, with wires getting in the way. So I visited J&S in Plymouth, greeted by the manager Ian, who could have not been more helpful, with great produce knowledge, he had a pair of RST Paragon heated gloves, even more surprising he had a pair that fitted my very large hands 12+. Excellent service, my husband getting back on the road and getting kitted up in safety gear. Anthony (sorry if misspelled!) was really helpful, not at all pushy and was able to guide us to the right equipment to suit needs and budget. We were able to take our time to browse through a really well stocked showroom (best I’ve seen). Been here a few times for Motorcycle items over the last couple of years. We were on this occasion looking for motorcycle boots for myself and the wife. There was a huge selection on the shelfs and this was not helping me. Im sorry I can't remember his name but the staff member was a fountain of knowledge. He sort of sorts you out into the category of equipment you need for safety and prices. He was a fountain of knowledge and there was no pressureising sales techniques in fact a few times he left to let us mull things over. At the end of the day we both came away with a set of boots that we are very happy with. Mind you we did spend a little more than we intended but quality will win the day.

I needed to upgrade a lot of my worn out biker gear - boots, trousers, jacket, helmet - and this shop has been excellent throughout. They're always keen to help out, nothing is too much trouble, they're very well informed and accommodating. Even when I ballsed up and got wrong sized boots, they were okay taking them back and sorting a size up - which they got sent from another shop in Scotland! All the staff are friendly and patient, and you can tell from the regulars who walk in - old and young, male and female - that they really value their customers and want to ensure people get the right items. Particularly want to praise Matt, the younger member of staff, for his great customer service, but in truth, all the staff I encountered were brilliant. If you need any motorbike kit, I can't recommend this shop enough.

We visited J&S Accessories to purchase some new gear. We were greeted by Ian the manager who was extremely helpful, very friendly and full of enthusiasm. He made sure we got exactly what we needed in terms of helmets, gloves, jacket and other accessories. They are a very well stocked shop with lots of really great choices. Some places are limited in their range or you have to order, but not at J&S. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for biking gear.

Recently got back into biking and had to update some of my kit, so went to J&S. They couldn't help me enough, as soon I walked into the store I was greeted by the staff asked me if they could help me I told them what I was after and they took me around the store helping me chose the bits and bobs I was after. Eventually we ended up stairs looking for trousers the store member couldn't help me enough picking out sizes for me to Try, whilst I was trying on he was looking for similar sizes for me, I tried on about 5 different sizes back and forth to the changing room. But couldn't get the right fit, so the store staff ordered in a pair for me. They arrived a couple of days later and when I tried them at home they fit perfectly, but unfortunately was broken. I rang the store and the next day they had a replacement for me. Everytime I spoke to them or went into the store they were so friendly, it almost felt like I was dealing with mates instead of store staff. Can't fault them will defo be back if I need anything else in the future.

Something went wrong. Well, sometimes something does go wrong, but that’s not the point. The important matter is how you are treated and how the matter is dealt with when there has been a misunderstanding. Mac handled the matter of a wrong sized Shoei helmet with total professionalism. Looking for a premium crash helmet recently I found the staff at J and S to be friendly and helpful. I was disappointed to find they have limited stock of helmet sizes. I naively thought everything on display would be in stock and in various sizes - not so. However, I would not hesitate to go back again for more motorcycle gear as I found they gave me good service.

Having been to Bridges and Fowlers previously, and not found the right crash helmet, I called in to J & S Accessories in Plymouth. I was pleasantly surprised at the choice and availability and how knowledgeable the staff were. His knowledge on crash helmets was second to none, and his patience matched his knowledge , in a constantly changing world, as an O.A.P. it was refreshing not to be pressured into buying something that I was not going to be happy with !?. I was fairly particular with what I wanted & Ian and his team humoured me whilst i tried on nearly every set of leathers in the shop, whilst being very helpful and offering sound advice. Went today to buy security stuff for my 1st bike and decided to sort out my gear when I was there. I didn't realise the shop was there until my wife pointed it out as we drove nearby. Went in to see what they had and was amazed by the Aladdin's cave of helmets, boots clothing and motorbike accessories. Two floors full of an amazing choice of gear from a myriad of brands. A new worker helped us throughout our experience in the shop from greeting us when we walked in to assisting with sizing. Popped in after work to buy a whole new kit after buying a new bike after 20 years, Shane & Matt were most helpful and informative, patient too as I was there for quite a while trying on several things. They were also very east to talk too and friendly. Stock wise, they have a vast amount to choose from, probably the best range I have seen, as bike showroom tend to do very little. The building has 2 floors and it is totally stocked up, if you cant find what you are looking for, you probably wont find it. I would recommend J&S Accessories as the best in the South West. We be going back to get the wife's kit when she passes her test.

I went in on multiple occasions just to brows and to try on some jackets, leather suits and helmets, I walked away a few times and came back the next day . After a few days I decided I needed a new helmet to go with my new bike, i went in and spoke to Shane, I told him him what i was looking for and ended up ordering in a helmet, unfortunately when the helmet arrived at the shop it did not fit and i had to picked a different helmet but i am really happy that it didn't fit because Shane went straight back onto the computer and found an AGV helmet that matched my fairings perfectly, i had to wait a few days for it to arrive and when it did they gave me a call and said that its ready to come pick it. I then when back the next day and asked if they could fit my intercom and speakers into the helmet, without hesitation they did and didn't charge me witch is a bonus. I enjoyed my experience there too the extent that I actually handed my CV in to hopefully be employed there one day.

Spoke to Phil from the number online about some Oxford hot grips I had delivered earlier in the week and when I opened them on the Saturday morning to fit them and there were two different ends and could not connect them. Brilliant, good range of stuff and staff couldn't be more helpful when I popped in looking for a jacket and jeans and thankfully they left me to get on with it but checked regularly in case I needed help, or maybe to check I wasn't shoplifting lol... BUT be aware that they won't refund or exchange except if you bought online or its faulty which means you had better be sure you're wife will approve of you choice because you'll be stuck with whatever you buy even if you go back the very next day with the perfect untarnished item and don't even think of trying to go to another store.. This policy makes no sense at all and is so utterly out of step with every retailer, especially online who are now offering no quibble free returns for up to a year after purchase. This is, sadly, why I won't ever shop there again for anything other than minor accessories or in an emergency. Like I said though, no issues with the staff who were lovely.

Purchased a Dainese Gortex jacket for an upcoming trip to Norfolk. I made an enquiry by phone to J & S about purchasing a total motorcycle clothing solution, the guy I spoke to was very friendly and enthusiastic and informed me that they had some lines of boots,clothing etc at discounted prices. I also contacted GT Motorcycles on the same subject, Nicci (Nicky?) was asked the same question, but disappointingly responded with a more assertive approach,. I was told that I would need to come into the showroom before they would talk about discounts on their range. Needless to say I decided to go to J & S , the staff were very helpful and took time in ensuring that I felt comfortable with the Helmet fit ,the boots and clothing were handled with the same professional approach. I would recommend these guys to anyone who is unsure where to start with kitting themselves out for a Motorcycle. I saved approximately £50 on my initial budget and the guys geared me up with superior products to the original ones I had priced up from their website,.. there was no sales pressure from the staff and I am very pleased with the clothing , helmet and boots ,...top team J & S!!

Bought a Scorpion exo helmet from J&S last week and within a day of using it the sunglasses kept dropping a couple of mm, brought it straight back and they got straight on the phone to the supplier who asked for the helmet back as they’d never had this fault before, they guys offered me a loan helmet until this issue was resolved, luckily I still had my old helmet with me, a couple days went by and the guys rang and said they will be issuing me with a brand new helmet and have assured me that they have gone through it with a fine tip comb to ensure the fault wasn’t going to reoccur with this helmet. Plenty of budget choice weather your looking for Boots, Helmets, Jackets or Gloves. Staff are wary of shop thefts so you kinds feel like your being followed, so rather than being stalked I asked a member of staff about a winter jacket but the staff were not Size trained so could only point out where their gore-tex jackets were so you then get to spend all day pulling them off hangers to try on rather than the staff saying "no problem, we have a jacket in Brand-X that might you". The shop mostly caters toward the budget end of the scale for clothing with brands such as Frank Thomas, IXS, BKS etc with only 4 Rukka jackets in the entire store, no AlpineStars Tech Road Gloves (but plenty of the the cheaper sub brands), I eventually found a jacket that fitted me it just took me a good while to locate one, its from a brand I've never heard of tho. Staff are friendly tho and easy to communicate with. More a budget-outlet-style store than a premium motorcycle gear shop.
