We had a fantastic time at Brightlingsea Museum with the children. The people there are so lovely, kind and helpful. The museum itself is wonderful inside with a lot to learn about how they made ships back in the days. How the fishermans and their family lived and how their life was during the war .
We completed a playful trail with a little rat called Brickelesey. We visited Brightlingsea for the first time but we will definitely come back again .

very well run friendly staff. thing for children to do . Stencils to draw the outline of the Boats and ships for building questions quizzes telephone that rings for you to answer as a different comment every time very interesting to re-enact also there's a rear bit that you can feel like killing side of the ships bunker down below beds to see what what's kept in lockers I can't praise the site enough good little gift shop to with some lovely gifts definitely going to go and see it again

Visited the recently re-opened Brightlingsea museum today for the first time. Vast improvement on the old museum in the reading rooms. Loved the HMS Nemo HQ and the replica sailors berth. Lots of info to take in, some activities closed due to Covid 19. I didnt see any references to sail making.

Just popped in here for 20 mins but will be back. It is a wonderful treasure chest of local history, and beautifully presented. Will take us quite a few trips to digest everything. Well done to the volunteers running it. We look forward to learning more about our town.

What an asset for the town. Easy to while away a couple of hours at least thanks to the team there who have put together a fantastic experience in a relatively small space. Brilliant and well worth a visit for locals and visitors to the town alike.
