R. C. (.As we drove to see this castle and came round the corner. We were like woooow there it is. Cool. Did not expect to see it where it is. Right inside a wee scheme cooool. Not sure if you can get inside to look around it. So as for the weather was wet. We only took a few photos and a short video. We were very surprised it's a lovely wee castle
C. N.We did a 10 day road trip around Scotland, and Minstrie Castle was our favorite stay! Every detail was beautifully thought out. Our apartment was cozy, comfy, well-stocked, and beautiful. We especially enjoyed meeting the hostess, Tracey. She is a lovely person who is creatively talented and passionate about hospitality. We would definitely recommend a stay at Minstrie Castle! We can't wait to visit again!
T. S.Menstrie castle is situated in the beautiful village of Menstrie. The museum is fascinating and we were very lucky to have a tour with Les.
M. L.This is a very historic property which has been turned into holiday rental apartments. They are modern and very comfortable; we were struck by the excellent facilities, the quality of the kitchen, including fridge and cooker, the large family TV, and the excellent shower. The host was very helpful and welcoming. We were in the three bedroom apartment with five people (three kids). The location is on an estate, but you are very handily placed for walking and for wider tourism and there is an excellent shop in Menstrie and a superb bakers, fishmongers etc in Alva. Stirling is very handy for wide range of venues, sites and outings.

The other half however hosts a visitor centre that shows history pertaining to the building and it's relations to Nova Scotia
The visitor centre is open from 2-5 pm on a Wednesday and a Sunday
