Reviews of Pollok House
J. B.
I parked in "Parking Lot" found to the left of Pollok House on Google Maps and run by Ring Go at £4.50 for 8 hours. Free to National Trust members if you go to the house to claim a ticket.
Fabulous huge park. Fabulous house. Nice cafe in the basement with inside and outdoor seating.
V. D.
Great place for a walk or to take the dog. Lots of different routes. The house itself has a coffee shop and toilets.
Good for families. Parking is limited so just be aware of that when coming at the weekend or when the sun is out.

My favorite place to visit in Scotland. What a wonderfully preserved home, with an amazing story and architecture. The trust of Scotland has it well maintained, and I’d like to especially thank our guides Ruth, Margaret, Hannah and Nan who chatted with us and made the visit so memorable. Im shocked we haven’t read more about the history behind it. Loved it!

A gem of a place in the middle of a green oasis South of central Glasgow. Pollock Park is the place for a walk, a picnic, a run, a dog walk, a family reunion, a wedding photo shoot, for fairy visiting, for rolling on the grass, for admiring fresh salads growing at ease and for bumblebee and bird spotting. Fie the house, there is an entrance fee if you'd like to visit, but it is well worth a visit if only to talk to a bunch of very knowledgeable volunteers and peek into a servant's undeground life. Also, there are a lot of fluffy highland cows on the pastures surrounding it.
R. R.
Beautiful house and gardens complete with wild deer and highland cows (they love oak leaves and will eat them from your hand)

What a cool experience. The docent was amazing! Very friendly, informative, and happy to gp off script to give additional background.
K. O.
Always something fascinating. Superb guides full of information and enthusiasm. Wonderful collection of paintings, furniture and other amazing stuff. Plus the cafe is always a pleasure
F. S.
Visited with family every member of staff we came across were so helpful, informative and welcoming it was fantastic! The house is fascinating and well worth a visit. National trust members get free entry and free parking if you go in to the house for a pass when you park. The gardens are beautiful and worth a wander too and the tea room was fab. Great experience thank you!
J. R.
Nice house in a beautiful setting. Interesting to see the old rooms and how much staff was needed to run the place.
D. A.
Picturesque estate within Glasgow city limits. Come for a jog and stay for the scenery
G. B.
A bit overpriced at 8.50 very little or no information in each room about paintings and artifacts. Asked guide if there was any info she suggested buying a guidebook! Also no access to upper floors. Bit disappointed.
M. K.
Lovely well presented gardens and property, well worth a visit!
Nice walks around the park too.
I.
Lovely park for the whole family. New play ground
M. M.
Very nice house . A lot of history.
l. m.
Nice gardens and historical building for the Maxwell family. Plenty of history for local history buffs and lovely formal gardens and walks. Not really suitable for very young children or infirm (stairwells but no lifts) Lovely spot in the centre of Glasgow!
R. A.
Enjoyed pollock House visit, cup of coffee and lovely river Bank walk.
M. K.
A great walk through a beautiful home and gardens is a definite for a calm afternoon. You can also book the Sunday full tea in the dining room! And it's free!

Pollock house and gardens is such a beautiful, pleasant and peaceful place. Of course, this is National Trust site so was really well maintained, clean and looked after.
We had originally planned to see the gardens, the house, the galleries and a special visit to see the Highland coos in one trip, but ended up deciding to split it up over several visits.
This change in plan came about due to the remarkable weather, and quite stunning gardens and woodlands. You almost felt like child again, exploring nooks and crannies, discovering secret dens and door ways. Everything was so well maintained and looked after, we walked around for a good couple of hours.
The wee cafe is also fascinating with its old world look and feel, the staff were so pleasant and happy and the food on offer was exactly what you'd hope and want from this sort of place. I had a top notch ploughmans lunch, and my wife had a filling brie and bacon seeded roll.
We went to see the cows too... (this was my favourite bit... I swear to god, someone brushes their fringes in the morning).
Well the outside was enough to fill our day, especially with a little sun bathing under a tree by the river and cant wait to return to see the galleries and inside Pollock House itself.
A. W.
Beautiful house in beautiful surroundings, staff were very friendly and informative, due to current times as with many National Trust properties they are struggling to survive so please visit and help them out👍
b. r.
So beautiful! A must visit !!!!! Take a picnic and sit by the canal, it's absolutely stunning and such fresh wild flowers !! Entry fee is 7.50 for adults but worth the history and a look at the cafe downstairs! Great food for people with dietary requirements and just plain delicious! Had an avocado cake which was heaven!!

Nice to finally get round to visiting Pollok House despite having lived nearby for many years. The ancestral home of the affluent Stirling Maxwell family, it's almost like a stately home with some beautifully furnished rooms. The collection of Spanish paintings is a real gem, especially as it's unusual to find such a collection of El Greco, Goya and Murillo outside of Spain.
The basement (of course) used to be the servants quarters and the museum has done a fantastic job preserving the Victorian design or the kitchen. The two upper floors were occupied by the Maxwell family and lavishly decorated. I especially liked the Cedar room for it's cosiness.
That entrance is free to national trust members.
W. B.
Coos! If your looking for some and don't want to drive to the highlands, visit here and ask someone where to see them!
T. P.
This is the best old house in Scotland. With art exhibits, traditional furniture and expert staff, all guests are impressed. The grounds and gardens are also vast and wide with Hairy Coos roaming many fields. The only thing I’d like more of is Pollock and Maxwell tartans, crests and other traditional clan items for purchase. All hail the Pollock and Maxwell clans.
A. W.
Located within Pollok Park is this Country House turned into a museum and art gallery with some very good exhibits in most of the rooms giving a great view of both how the original owners lived and the art they helped collect. Not the biggest country house I have been to but size isn't everything and really even for this size you could take all day. It also boasts an interesting garden and tea room, and it's all free although they do accept donations
S. “. V.
Beautiful place as usually 100% enjoyment kids happy ,unfortunately we missed the horses hope see them in summer.
S. W.
When we came here it was snowing a little and not the best weather.
The house was closed which was a shame as I'm a country house enthusiast.
The Burrell collection was also closed.
But my girlfriend and I walked around the grounds and had tea and cakes in the cafe.
Would be better on a warmer day.
Update
I am here again for their free open day, so a chance to view inside the house.
Some parts are still being restored, but overall not bad interiors.
M. B.
A very beautiful place the staff were friendly and so very helpful. The gardens were well set out and planned even in winter they were nice. The house is well laid out as well easy to move around.
T. B.
Now this is one stunning location pure gem if your visiting Glasgow. if your a visitor become a member of the trust you will save lots cash on your journey visiting some great locations. Lets get back to Polloch House. its a great tour also cafe down stairs serves tea and cakes.
S.
Lovely walk through the park to the actual house. Well worth a visit, some conservation work going on. Lovely garden areas which look a bit tired with litter which let it down. Dog friendly.
S.
Great park, rather big...lots of space for the kids to run about.
V. K.
The experience here was good. I liked the fresh air in the park.
The most wanted attractions are the cattles. It's a specific breed that is being raised only in this area.
The green views are amazing. I recommend visiting it with friends.
M. A. d. H.
A lovely nature park, great for relaxing walks in the fresh Scottish air. Lovely flowers and woodlands to be explored. Great coffee shop too! Interesting cakes to be had, highly recommend the avocado courgette concoction. Definitely a must see for those visiting Glasgow, be prepared to spend a relaxing afternoon in this natural treasure.
A. M.
Beautiful house and gardens. Very nice place for relaxing family time.
M.
Lovely house and gardens. Worth taking an organised tour as staff are very knowledgeable and interesting. Really enjoyed the recent Hornel exhibition. Cafe food and drinks lovely too. Live nearby and visited many times over the years.
I. M.
Lovely wee tea room inside
K. B.
Wonderful house with lots to see in fabulous park. Taking a star off because I think it's outrageous being charged to enter it especially with kids. Stopping a lot of families seeing a public house in a public park that should be free for all! Hear Hear !! X
S.
Visited Pollok House for the first time , Very Beautiful peacefull place with calming waterfall sounds with endless photographic opportunities
K. Z.
Pack of history! Friendly and knowledgeable guide available in the house. Definitely worth a visit! p.s. you can get a cheeky discount if you are a student too!
B. L.
Very interesting place. Great to see how the other half lived at the turn of the century. Imagine the smell of cigar smoke in the cedar room. Wonderful. The photo of the staff below reminded me of The Shining!
l. k.
Nice house and gardens to wander round. Lots of information about the family and art within the house. Good cafe serving lunch, coffee and delicious cakes.
S. F.
Lovely park with many places to walk. Well kept and a great place for kids, as they have lots of gardens and a fairy garden. My dog had a great time too!
G. S.
Visited for mrs claus. Brilliant day out and staff were very interactive. Hosue is well kept and some interesting information to be had.
R. G.
The house is nice to spend a couple of hours in, looking at the extensive artwork collection and learning about the history of the lands and former owner.
N. B.
Lovely house with a very interesting history. Nice little cafe, staff were friendly and informative.
M. W.
Lots of interesting things to see , grounds lovely for walking, running. Cafe well stocked.

And within the land are neighboring plots and gardens of grapevines and crops and palm trees, [growing] several from a root or otherwise, watered with one water; but We make some of them exceed others in [quality of] fruit. Indeed in that are signs for a people who reason.
d. b.
Beautiful gardens and walks. Burrell collection undergoing refurbishment so no access, but great place to walk and enjoy spring sunshine
D. J.
Very good, amazing historic house in Pollok Park. Book a tour in advance and take your time and you explore the house.
Riverside car park near the house is pay and display however the house will give you a parking pass with a paid visit.
M. B.
Always enjoy the Burrell, the park grounds and Pollok House. Looking forward to the horses coming back to their stables
J. P.
Not been to Pollok House in a few yrs, I used to love going down for a swim & jumping off the house just at waterfall into the water. The good old days when you spent most of the day & night outside.😎👏🏻👌🏻👍🏻
M.
Breath-taking. Rooms are on a very human scale. Definitely feels like a family home. Guides are very knowledgeable and friendly. Afternoon tea was yummy 😋
J. B.
We really liked this. You will see some details from the last centuries. Nice place. WC. HC friendly. Parking.
J. R.
We did not go there intentionally but found our selves there after a walk along the river. It was a reasonable priced and surprisingly delightful. The guide were nice and happy to answer any questions we had.
R. R.
The house is a must visit experience. I also had afternoon tea with some friends. Great.
A. A.
Well worth the experience, the staff there go out of their way to give you information. We absolutely loved it
J. E.
Nice space but went before the colours were out. Very muddy/slippy in the wooded areas (following heavy rain). Didn't frequent the coffee shop. Car park charges now in effect but cash only so bring change!
b. b.
A peaceful scenic walk among nature. The hieland coos grazing away with their new calves.
J. M.
Lovely location, friendly staff and interesting building and grounds.
G. L.
Love this house, and the park around it. Well worth a visit.
I. W.
We were there for a wedding.
L. M.
What a hidden gem this place is! A gorgeous step back in time that will please the adults and provide plenty of surprises for little kids as well. I would love to be able to go on little adventure walks here every day to really take the time to explore the grounds. Every corner you turn, there's another mysterious & magical wee pathway leading to who knows where! If your a nature lover, or even if your just looking for a nice spot to walk your dog( they're welcomed everywhere, even at the cafe) I highly recommend you go. It's gorgeous!!!
And I for one, can't wait for another chance to go back.
W. S.
Great walks, historic building, lovely gardens. Unfortunately the stables and Burrell Collection are closed for refurbishment but still worth visiting. The countryside in the city.s
S. J. L.
Def needs more signs to show where fairy Garden and Maze are 😉
T. K.
Nothing extraordinary. Just a Georgian House with lots of preserved artifacts.
L. C.
The visit to Pollock House was excellent..the guides who took us round are very knowledgeable and friendly..The grounds are lovely to walk around- those with children should definitely look out for the Hobbit village/ houses in the grounds. The cafe sells soup/ sandwiches/cakes/ hot and cold drinks and ice cream. There are plenty of seats and benches dotted around the grounds and opposite the river for resting weary legs or having a picnic. Well worth a visit.
J. M.
Lovely grounds Rhododendrons are fantastic. Lovely café down in the kitchen. Nice walk along the river.
C. B.
Glorious Sunshine always makes a day out special. Fantastic place. Delicious cakes!
S.
An absolute must - get up close with Highland cattle, a historic house, the burrel collection and wonderful mixture of parkland, woodlands, green open spaces and gardens - what's not to like?
A. M.
Staff friendly and helpful. Great guides and house by as lots of information. Very forward thinking with hydro power for the house, built for today 😂 . Be aware, Glasgow Council own the Riverside car park and it depends who's on duty it seems as to whether the NTS parking sticker is accepted. To be sure get a NTS parking ticket when you enter the property and just hope GCC wardens haven't booked you while you get it. GCC need to state they will accept the NTS parking stickers and stop the confusion.
S. T.
Excellent place to visit
I. A.
Been going here for years.
Still always new places to explore.
Typical Autumn day with the kids.
A. F.
Great place to visit, grounds are beautiful.
M. M.
Fab walk around the gardens. Not open on a monday but the cafe was with fabulous turkey and cranberry sauce baggets and soup. Followed by lovely scone butter and pot of jam. Very impressed.
T. H.
Pollock House National Trust. Open Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Lovely walks around grounds in Pollock Park.
Cafe well worth visiting for a coffee and cake or light lunch.
C. M.
Pollok house is closed but the small cafe is open as is the rest of the park. Plenty of great walks to go on. Parking can be a problem as the entrance via pollokshaws road was closed off w/c 17/1/22.
K. K.
Nice place to visit, historical, adventures, sight seeing, park!
K. M.
Such a beautiful space, makes it easy to get out and exercise
S. K.
Beautiful hose the place has a wonderfull views
S. P.
Exquisite Georgian house of the Maxwell family, 1 of Glasgow's most historic lines. In need of some interior restoration, it has a splendid art collection too.
F. D.
Went to see the Spanish artists but hardly any there. Most had been removed for security or renovation but this wasn't mentioned on the website when we booked. The tour of the house and the guides were excellent but that's not why we went.
H. L.
Lovely house, beautiful staircase, interesting information. Wet when I went so didn't explore the grounds. Cafe heaving so skipped that too. Was not as many upstairs rooms open as I'd hoped, and the staff working basement area was more commercial than country house: cafe, loos, buggy store. Nice but probably won't return.
I. W.
Good setting for weddings.
K. W.
Bit disappointing although it's just recovering from closure/ repairs. Staff are helpful and well informed.
K. J.
Lovely NTS property. Very interesting experience learning about the Maxwell family and their involvement with NTS. The gardens are lovely, hobbit area, vegetable garden, producing goods for charities, beautiful flower beds, wooded areas etc.
j. r.
Lack of information of the location. Beautiful grounds, great place for a walk and plenty to keep kids entertained.
G. L.
I went to see the E A Hornell paintings. Been to the house before and enjoyed my visit and chat with the guides.
c. m.
My daughter absolutely loves this place. The gardens are huge and in summer, are absolutely beautiful
R. K.
Got an afternoon tea from Itison. Took a while to book due to covid and us not realising it's only available on a Sunday.
Food was decent, they're able to cater for dietaries - gluten free option was ok, but the scones fell apart as soon as the butter knife touched them and the cakes were a bit average.
The waiter was really friendly and helpful.
A. P.
Lovely! Absolutely stunning and well kept. The volunteers dressed in old fashion today and were really helpful by giving out a lot of information. Especially the tour at 11 am with Mike was great! He put so much heart into it :) would recommend going here
M. G.
Great wee House went there to see the Benson Exhibition.
D. K.
Really beautiful place, well worth a visit, gardens are amazing.
K. S.
One of my favourite places in the world 🌎❤
D. S.
Love this park. Been visiting it since I was knee high to a grasshopper & I'm 53 now. It's got everything for a cracking day out. Woodland walks , fields. Highland cows , Clydesdale horses. Fab cafe within the house itself & it's garden is dog friendly. Ample parking. What you waiting for ? Boots on & go you won't be disappointed. Unlike my dreadful punctuation. X
A. G.
Lovely to come to this beautiful garden for a walk. Lots of various species of plants can be found and on a sunny day it's teaming with wildlife, truly the birds and the bees! There is also a nice cafe with an outdoor seating area, ideal to rest and replenish.
J. M.
Always an excellent place for a walk with the dog or a morning run. Note that access by car is not possible. Wedding parties are allowed.
J. B.
Fantastic cafe with fab indoor or outdoor seating friendly staff , ideal stop off on daily dog walks with friends or alone as there's plenty of friendly staff & customers, barista coffee although not the greatest coffee beans I'd say made and served with a smile 😀 even although very busy with so many visitors (covid rules adhered at all times) Great 👍
a. s.
Great place to visit lovely old house
S.
Lovely gardens and cafe run by the national trust. Great stop to break up a walk round pollock Park.
R. C.
Nice house with interesting history. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Lovely gardens and walks surrounding the building. On the same grounds as the currently closed (2018) burrel collection. Really nice tea room with outdoor sitting area and shop in the old servants quarters.
N. F.
Some points of interest but the most notable for me was the extent of the servants quarters. More labelling of the painting could be helpful.
A. S.
Been coming here for over 30 years and it's lovely. Gardens and grounds perfect for a stroll with the kids, on your own or with a significant other. Cart horses and highland cows, a river, old stone bridge and the old stables all add interest. I've only visited the house once. Can't remember it in detail but I do recall that it perhaps needed a bit of tlc. The cafe in the old kitchen is an interesting setting. Gets very noisy because of the acoustics and the service is patchy but they do a good homemade scone.
G. R.
Wonderful experience, well worth a visit.
W. L.
It's located in a great huge country park just a couple of minutes walk on the left hand side from Pollokshaws West train station.
The Burrell Collection is located inside although it was closed for renovation when I went there. It's very scenic and it's great for walking, playing, cycling, golfing and so much more. I would recommend taking your own picnic unless you don't mind paying the slightly expensive prices for food and drink. Just please remember to take your litter with you as there was a few bits where people hadn't.
R. F.
We visited the cafe where there is a selection of delicious homemade cakes. This choice included two which were both vegan and gluten free. There is a choice of tea, coffee and soft drinks.
They also do lovely soup and sandwiches which we did not sample today.
R. T.
Nice, low key afternoon. Harry Benson photography exhibition was a little bit more interesting for me than the house itself. Lovely tea room and staff were lovely and helpful all through the day. Very keen to help and chat.
I. W.
Great venue for weddings 💑
M. H.
Really nice gardens, some interesting features in the house, including some huge ceramics. One daft feature was a signposted cafe with only four tables for two, when further along the corridor was an unsigned cafe with a proper menu and lots of seating, including outdoors.
F.
It is a quaint charming little country house with an interesting photo exhibition by Benson.
L. T.
I love Pollok park, not matter what time if year....if you live in the Glasgow area add this to your list of favourite places to go....the spring, summer and autumn colours of nature are stunning, and the highland cattle are fabulous!!
F. A.
Beautiful place. My first time in Glasgow and had very limited time to spend so took the risk and came to the park. Only costs £2.40 for day return train ticket from Glasgow Central station, and the prices inside the cafe are not only very reasonable but they are delicious! Had the soup of the day and a slice of Avocado and courgette cake (dairy free). Will be returning next time I am in Glasgow. NB the Pollock house and gardens are inside the park and it takes approx 20mins of walking to get there once inside the park.
P. M. U.
This was a very enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. This gem of a house had been visible to me for years and yet, until today, I had never bothered to visit. The house itself is a fantastic view of a time well I'm the past but also indicative of how we should do our best to ensure that we don't lose sight of our history. Hugely interesting with well informed staff in period clothing, giving you a proper sense of of this bygone time.
A great addition to the house just now is the Harry Benson exhibit. A remarkable collection of photographs from one of Scotlands pre eminent photographers allowing us an insight into the history of the past sixty years. Definitely a good way to spend the afternoon and good value too for the £7.50 entrance fee.
S. H. A. S.
Excellent walk ways all around
W. S.
A very interesting house, with friendly, knowledgeable staff who are very keen to answer any questions about the life in Pollok House. Worth more than one visit to explore all the levels, with talks and activities available. The cafe also must be visited for the delicious coffee and cakes, soup and sandwiches.
J. D.
Nice place to go for a walk and a look round. Good place to take parents for a coffee and scone. The park itself is very nice. Good walks can look at the highland cows and has playground for children.
K. F.
Staff were lovely. We were there for Mrs Claus experiences and kids loved it plus lots of extras - drawing and find the Highland cow. Photography exhibition was interesting too.
G. G.
I took my 4 year old son and we both had a fantastic time. The staff are lovely and the house is stunning but for us it was the garden that stood out the most. Absolutely stunning!!
C. G.
Have been coming here for years. Been for a wedding here and take our children to Mrs Claus every Christmas which is beautiful and well run. Great memories. So worth the NTS membership. Love the fresh food from the restaurant
P. S.
Great place to visit while you're in Glasgow. In the middle of a lovely park where you can see Highland cattle (with calves at the moment) and visit the stately home of the Maxwells. The impressive house is a managed by the nation trust and has an excellent tea room with outdoor seating. After visiting the house you can visit the well maintained walled gardens and walk along the White Cart. The Burrell museum is still under renovation but opposite it is a a great outdoor play area for kids
B. B.
Pollok House and walled Gardens is a great place for all the family. the house has amazing local history and has a cafe which serves great lunches, also the walled gardens are wonderful for young children to explore, with a reciently added secret hobbit village.. find it if you can..also with added hidden prehistoric artifacts and sculptures.. oh.. did i forget to mention about the horses and amazing competition mountain bike trails..with miles of adventurous woodland walkways.. go on explore and see for yourself..
A. M. C.
Very interesting visit, made all the better due to a guided tour of the basement, where we were given lots of interesting information about life below stairs. In addition, currently, there is a Harry Benson exhibition of photos taken both in Glasgow and in the USA. Very worthwhile. There is also a restaurant in the basement, and large grounds for walking. I can thoroughly recommend Pollok House.
R. D.
Very interesting property, an excellent photo exhibition and very nice gardens that could be enjoyed despite the rain. Yay! Vegan cake options in the café and plant based milk. Good information if you read English. It would have got 5* if info had been available in other languages, I don't need them but many of my international friends would benefit.
S. G.
Beautiful place to go for a walk and explore.
G. D.
Lovely House & Gardens. I visited to see an exhibition on photography by Harry Benson which is on to the 30th Dec 18. It's well worth seeing.
House house itself great to walk around (admission charges apply unless you are a NTS member) and at the moment decorated for Christmas with children puzzles for them to enjoy. You can have lunch in the refectory in the basement.
J. M. R.
Visited for the Escape Room and also on a later occasion for Mrs Claus. Both were well run. The Escape Room is full of genuinely interesting historical artefacts. The Mrs Claus treasure hunt was lovely and the Christmas film theme meant that all the rooms looked superb and so festive. Mrs Claus herself was also great and dealt well with a shy 4 year old!
The gift shop is good and any staff I came across were friendly and helpful.
A. B.
Beautifully kept gardens within the park, plenty to see and do with the wee ones and a lovely cafe onsite aswell.
Most definitely worth a visit in this gorgeous weather but equally as lovely on a wet day if wrapped up properly x
G. R.
First time here in years. Lovely knowledgeable staff. Lovely afternoon tea, lovely young lady serving us. Fascinating history. Will be back.
G. W.
Interesting photography exhibition. House in lovely setting, rooms manageable size to be comfortable to live in. Furnished for period but not furniture of original family. Some possible El Grecos but not on show when visited. Didn't have time to walk in grounds but obviously popular place for a walk, lots of dogs. Can join a tour to see servant's quarters. Cafe and usual NT gift shop.
P. M.
A bit dark in places so hard to see the artwork. Beautifully decorated for Christmas in a Cinderella them - slipper and all. Great scones in the cafe.
N.
Great, knowledgeable guides. Very interesting stories about the village of Nether Pollok and it's connections to witch trials. Would recommend.
K. L.
Pollock house was the home of the Maxwell family, situated in the large and very attractive grounds of Pollok estate. The gardens roll down to the river bank. Pollok house is very attractive and is well known for its Spanish art collection. Worth walking round the grounds and visiting the house. There is a restaurant in the basement where the original kitchen was.....the stunning cooking range is still in situ. Look out for highland cattle in the grounds. Please leave a like.
S. M.
Wow 3 people being catered for by 50ish house staff... What a life...
Kids loved it and we too
a. m.
Stunning house and friendly staff. One of the best downstairs tours I've been on. We went on a sunny day and basked outside over our tea in the garden.
P. O.
We cycled to the country park and sat outside the house. Have not been in the building hence the 4 stars but if the outside is anything to go by I'm sure it's beautiful inside. Also being in the TV show outlander is a big plus for me
L. B.
Beautiful walks and a lovely tea room to stop for a break and a chat.
C. C.
Excellent place to visit, with knowledgable volunteer guides and tours. Cafe was fantastic. Really good sense of upstairs / downstairs life and fine art collection.
L. S.
Lovely old house to wander through. Beautiful furnishings and furniture in picturesque surroundings. Cafe has lovely snacks and cakes
D. M.
Visited the coffee shop after a walk around Pollok Park. Lovely coffee.
B. C. E.
Lovely place! Many newlyweds take pictures here. Scenery is gorgeous. And the coffee place is in an old kitchen. Scones are delish!
R. P.
The house, gardens and park are ao beautiful. The gardens and park are free to enter. So much to see from Highland cows to herb gardens
A. Q.
It's a good place to go out for the day and learn about the city's and the area's past .
Lovely and peaceful.
Super fresh air.
Walking + Biking trails.
Woodland trails.
Lot's of things to do ...
S. O.
Very pretty gardens, only gave 4 stars as you can get around the house in less that 15 mins which isn't good enough for the price tag! It's £7.50 just the the adults.
S. D.
Brilliant place. A good day out. The cafe is variable. £8.50 for a croque monsieur which was actually a toasted ham and cheese sandwich on cheap white bread. Definitely not worth the money.
K. F.
