Reviews of The Glasgow Art Club

Cool building with lots of ghost stories, the art leaves a lot to be desired however, I cannot praise the staff enough. They always welcome you in with a smile. I enjoyed having a coffee here and chatting to Rachel behind the bar who seemed to be on good terms with all their members. Dan, the manager, was also very helpful and happy to answer my questions about membership in great detail, he seemed to really enjoy engaging with visitors and just going that extra bit! Very enthusiastic man.

The Paisley Art Institute is having an exhibition in there at the moment. That is why I was there.

Outstanding venue for dinining in the centre of Glasgow. A place with fascinating history and numerous art exhibits to enjoy. Lots of different areas available for meetings and dining. No parking on the road during the day and not wheelchair accessible from the front elevation

Superb venue - saw a jazz performance a few years ago here for the Glasgow Jazz Festival. Acoustics and ambience are good and made for an enjoyable evening. Would come back again to visit or watch a show.

I was at a function -- the venue was hired -- the surrounding were "tasteful" --the menu was set, the "supplied" food/meal was more than adequate -- no draught Ale or Lager though the measures were 35mm -- the place was cosy -- a well chosen venue to hold that type of function (a Burns Supper)

(Translated) A place that has nothing to envy to the much better known modern and contemporary art galleries in Glasgow but which, given the number of reviews and visitors, is a gem yet to be discovered by the "general public". The place deserves - I was saying - for various reasons: it's charming and gives the impression of being in the most classic of Scottish clubs, the staff is very kind, you can visit the whole exhibition for free and nobody will try to sell you anything. The fact of having to ring to enter can discourage the shyest, but take courage, they will open you with a smile and then you will be free to visit the entire building. Almost all the paintings are for sale and the prices are not prohibitive. Some works, for me, have an aesthetic and symbolic value and I say this as a great detractor of contemporary conceptual art. There is a bar inside. Unfortunately there are architectural barriers, so it is not wheelchair friendly, unfortunately.

All'interno c'è un bar.
