It’s not often I leave reviews but this museum is superb. Yes, it’s tiny. But there’s an astounding amount of local information here. Geological, historical, maritime, everything from the dawn of time to the modern day. Most had been painstakingly laid out by hand in beautiful handwriting and seems to be the work of one person, a labour of love no doubt.
Fascinating, we’ll put together and utterly absorbing. Superb.

This is a gem of a place. Although it's a small space it crams in lot of Mull history. Lots of interesting info, photos, maps, exhibits. From geology, war, highland clearances...From Robert Louis Stevenson Mull connection to shipwrecks and hidden treasure, it's all here.
The 2 staff who greeted me friendly and polite. VISIT THIS MUSEUM.

A brilliant local museum, free to enter and run entirely by volunteers. Small but full of interesting objects and stories about the history and geography of Mull. You can spend a good hour here.

Free Entry. Suitable for all ages. We just went in to kill some time out of the rain, but glad we did. The man in charge was full of knowledge, very welcoming and excellent engaging the children. There's plenty to see and some activities for the children too. Donations are welcomed for the museum's upkeep.

Cute, well-curated museum. Small, but no entry fee (you can leave a donation). Has lots of interesting information on the history, geography and people of the island. Plenty to read but what might make it more interesting would be some interactive exhibits/videos.

Do not think of this museum as somewhere to go when it is a wet day in Tobermory! It has so much information packed into a small space. The geology section has excellent rock specimens that you can handle and find the location of on the many maps. Local history and WW2 exhibits provided good information about what was happening here in the past. The two members of staff that I spoke to to were really well informed and highly approachable.
Really enjoyed the visit; amazingly there was no entrance charge, just a box for voluntary contributions.

Really cute little museum - it was a rainy day in Tobermory. This gave us something more to do. I loved learning more about the history of the island and the town. Highly recommend! Did I mention it was free? But they take donations.

Not big in size - but big in content and presentation. Lots of local history and exhibits covering various time frames. Free to enter but you are invited to leave a donation on exit. Spent about half an hour here! Loved it!
