Down St station is another disused underground sation (between Green Park and Hyde Park Corner on the Piccadilly Line which you can tour by booking through Hidden London (run by the Transport Museum in Covent Garden) It was unpopular almost as soon as it opened and closed in 1932. It was used as bunker during WWII mainly by the Railway Executive although Churchill was there for a short period. The station is creepy and absolutely filthy so dont wear nice clothes. These tours are very popular - despite the quite high price and you need to pounce as soon as booking opens. The tour staff and helpful and very informative. All the photos were taken by me during my own tour in Jan 2022.

Fascinating tour as there are two aspects to it. One is getting access to a disused station and the other is the conversion of it into an underground headquarters for wartime. Pricey but well worth it as it's in small groups.

Brilliant tour. Lots to see and really interesting. Guides friendly and helpful. Be aware...Lots of stairs and some areas are poorly lit. My second hidden London tour and although this one is more expensive, I think it was worth it.

It's like a scoobydoo adventure a bit spooky and you find out how deep the rabbit Warren runs, the disused tunnels were closed down after WW2 so if there is ever an Alien invasion, this is the place to hide! this runs along with London Transport Museum tours and are worth it...

Unique back in time tour. Great insight on WWII in a place where the events took place and is almost unchanged since then.
It’s nice to be there and consider the Piccadilly Line passengers that commute over it everyday and do not even realise it exists.

Some very dedicated and knowledgeable guides will take you down into this well kept piece of London Underground history. Make sure to wear study shoes and try not to touch the walls if you want to come out clean. The limited availability of tickets makes this something you must fight to go and see!

Excellent tour, really enjoyed it, worth doing if your into transport, I was in a group of around 8, so it's fairly small

A fascinating look at one of London's abandoned tube stations.

Intriguing history of the tube and its wartime function but a bit overpriced in our view
