TICK TOCK
is seldom heard at Britain’s Clockmaker’s Museum, now on the second floor of London’s Science Museum. The collection of time pieces old and new, instead, tells a tale little known: how and why something as mundane as tracking the passage of time mattered in history and science. Also, there are many beautiful objects.

This science museum is formidable. This space is a gem of history into the great development of the industrial age of Britain.

A small but delightful display of the British clockwork ingenuity that will not fail to impress.
Beware the Google Map directions take you to the rear of the building next to Imperial College building. A very pretty lady came out on seeing me wandering around trying to find my bearings and took me to the entrance which was quite a walk.
You should go to science museum 2ND floor. It's free.

The exhibits cover wide range of watches and clocks of various
period, showing well decorated cases, different movements and escapements. Well introducion of some leading clockmakers and their masterpieces.

Really worth a look if you are into watches (or clocks). Some of the earliest (16th century) watches on display and of course the early Harrison chronometer. Only one room so it only takes 45 minutes to an hour to view completely. And it's free!

Make time to visit at the science museum situated on the second floor. Amazing history of clocks and watches.

It's inside the science museum. There is an interesting collection of old clocks and watches.

This is a great little museum for anyone who has even a passing interest in clocks and watches. I was particularly fascinated by the rolling ball clock.

For what is was and the fact that it was only in a small room it was very good and it is suitable for all ages.
