Reviews of The National Gallery
K. B.
I really can't describe how this Gallery is so important to our heritage. This has been something we both wanted to visit in a long time. Amazing paintings but to many to name. Every painting is unique in its own way. You can spend hours in here. Nice restaurant and coffee shop. This Gallery is spotless.
D. V.
Incredible experience at national gallery!! Great paintings, really well maintained galleries, very clean and a lot of benches to rest and enjoy the paintings further. I love how smooth it was to enter the gallery with the booked times and very very covid safe with hand sanitisers everywhere.
E. T.
You can only see a snippet of the national gallery in one visit but don't let that put you off! I think it's helpful to have an era of series off artists that you want to look at otherwise it can be overwhelming. Don't necessarily just search out the most famous paintings, there are so many lesser known gems (and the rooms aren't do full!). Friendly staff although not all particularly knowledgeable about art I have to say! Tempting and expensive shop is rather dangerous! Need to keep coming back to see different sections, could do this for years.
S. M.
A gallery that's free to explore and it's absolutely intriguing to read up on the history of some of the most famous paintings in the world. The gallery is vast and there's always so much to learn about the portraits themselves and even the little shop has a choice selection of good stuff often at decent prices.
N. R. M.
Simply wonderful. It was my biggest dream to see a few paintings like William Turner's the fighting Temeraire, the Ambassadors by Hans Holbein the younger etc before death and dreams do come true. I visited the gallery today. The entry is free, thanks to the British government and one should remember that the gallery is very crowded. I sat in a chair nearby to enjoy the beauty of a painting but I couldn't sit for more than 30 seconds due to the profusion of people coming and going around. Also, don't forget to wear a mark as London is becoming the epicentre of Covid-19.
K. B.
The building itself is worthy of a visit, the pillars, high ceilings, and wallpapers are impressive.
The impressionist room is a star-studded room. It really does have a shock factor.
The toilet facilities are great and I highly recommend booking a free ticket online before arrival.
R.
Beautiful gallery with some truly unique pieces such as The Van Gogh sunflower - booking in advance needed due to Covid - the museum is free as many in London they ask for donations but this isn’t obligatory - next to the national portrait gallery and trafalgar square. Definitely recommend it.

A heaven for art lovers...
Every time I visit London, I try to spend some time enjoying the greatest paintings of all time under one roof. And what could be better than the fact that it is absolutely free of cost.
The facilities are incredible and the gift shop is also wonderful.
C. S.
One of the best galleries in the world and definitely worth a visit. Love the winding, huge beautiful rooms full of classic art. The staff in the Cafe were great when we visited. Other than a bit too heavy handed on the unnecessary heating we have no complaints about our visit.
J. H.
Amazing gallery, beautiful architecture and art. Brilliant exhibitions on all the time too. Went to see the Kehinde Wiley exhibition twice and it is stunning. Definitely worth taking a look and experiencing the film too.
P. A. D.
Beautiful gallery, free entry as well if you sign up. Very helpful staff, different styles, painters and centuries very well presented. Got a lovely cafe and gift shop as well.
R. B.
Wonderful collection of fabulous paintings and art work from Medieval to early 20th century. There is so much to see that you risk being overwhelmed, you definitely need more than one visit to do it justice.
In my opinion, many of the best pictures are less well known, so if you just concentrate on famous ones, you will miss out.Brilliant that it is free, though they do need donations if you can manage it.
j. d.
the painting were really cool and the architecture of the building was amazing too, especially the celings, columns and stuff and the floor in some places is just beautiful. Room with Van Gogh and da Vinci was quite busy but the rest wasn't that crowded.
R. W.
We walked through fairly quickly, without reading much, and we're able to get out under 2 hours, but I'd still love to go back to see and learn more because it was lovely. Some amazing artists are showcased including Boticelli, Bellini, Michaelangelo, Manet, Monet, Van Gogh, Raphael, Da Vinci, and Seurat. The list goes on! And so should your visit here.
M.
Apart from one outstanding lady, the staff on hand didn't seem to know much about the paintings themselves except for the footnotes. Some were nice, others seemed to care less, and out of curiosity, I made a game out of asking the odd staff member or two which their fave painting was. Not many could come up with an answer, which is a shame, since they work there! 😓
Passing the time in the lovely restaurant was worth the price, but it wasn't too busy, and unfortunately not a single staff member seemed to have a fave when I asked.
That one lady however not only took the time to chat with me, but she checked that there was a print available of a painting we both liked. On top of that, she discussed the religious themes and interpretations we both made with thoughtfulness and interest.
The best guide you could want, and she sat by the door being passed by visitors. 😖
The gallery is a treasure trove, but its the staff who talk with you that bring it to life!
R. S.
Huge collection of European art including those from huge names like Monet, Da Vinci and Van Gogh. Free entry, well kept and definitely worth a visit even if you're not hugely into art.
G. Š.
Probably one of the best art museums in Europe. If you're an art lover in London this is a must visit place. They have 3 exhibitions which are starting from medieval ages and finishing with Van Gogh, Picasso and so on. Might spend a couple of hours there.
A. A.
Vast collection of paintings from 1400-1900’s
Rubens, Rembrandt, Da Vinci, Van Dyke, Titian, Degas, Monet, Manet and Can Gogh are just a few from many masters you get to admire at this Gallery. Also take in mind that all this is free.
J. R.
So many incredible artworks all for free!! Easy access (currently on the left hand side asv you look at the gallery from Trafalgar Square. )
Tickets are free, you can book online or turn up and grab a ticket (no personal details were asked. )
Within 3 minutes of climbing the stairs you can see famous Turner's, Constable and Gainsborough. Plenty of space to wander round with very helpful staff.
B. C.
Always a joy to visit the National Gallery. I try to visit each time I am here in London. Booking a time slot prior to visit meant more planning on visitors’ part but it makes for a more pleasant time at the gallery. I was able to enjoy the gallery more thoroughly.
C. Y. C.
Awesome Paintings. Every painting is unique in its own way. You can spend hours in here.
L. D. (.
This is my second time visiting National Gallery and I am still impressed by those masterpieces. This time I got a chance to see Gainsborough’s ‘The Blue Boy’ back to the UK after exactly 100 years since the day it left to the US. Apart from this, there are some famous paintings that you should not miss such as Sunflowers, A Wheatfield, with Cypresses by Vincent van Gogh, Bathers at Asnières by Georges Seurat, The Entombment (or Christ being carried to his Tomb) by Michelangelo, The Virgin of the Rocks by Leonardo da Vinci, Venus and Mars by Sandro Botticelli, Whistlejacket by George Stubbs.
B. M.
Just fantastic. A gem of the UK, you can see masterpieces from great historical figures such as Da Vinci, Caravaggio, Raphaël, Rubens, Lawrence, and many others.
G. C.
It's a good size art museum that took about 3 hours to see most art pieces. It has a good flow that allows minimal back tracking. A lot of styles to see from the past. Plenty of benches to pause for a rest and take in the art in the room.
C.
Beautiful art in a beautiful setting. However, there are not enough maps of the museum and we got confused in regard to which way to go so I am not sure we covered everything. It would really help to provide some paper maps on to be able to download a map of the museum. Nice coffee shop, although really pricey...
F. M.
I highly recommend visiting this gallery if you’re a big fan of art. Great experience for free.
D. T.
What can I say. The collection that this place has in terms of western art and the history it brings along is amazing. You can see upclose the works of Rembrandt, Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Michealangelo, Monet etc. the sheer amount of works exhibited is hard to be enjoyed all in one go. Recommend you do a quick pass and if you have time, then seat down and enjoy the pieces that “speaks to you”. Definitely a must see if London, together with the British Museum.
P.S. if you’re into sci fi utopia novels, do check out the book on last picture which is available on Amazon. Highly recommended read while traveling around London subway. 😁
R. M.
Lucky enough to go to a dinner in the new Rausing room. It’s stunning and packed with dramatic interesting pictures. And the bellotto exhibition was lovely. I could spend days here there is so much to see and always a good exhibition.
M. Ū.
I've always felt grateful, and humbled about Londons museums... since quite a lot of them are free, and they offering quite big quality in museums displays/exhibition variety! So this gallery is quite interesting, and unique as well. There is a lot of all kinds of famous painters and artists paintings to see such as: Leonardo da vinci, Sandro Botticelli, Johannes Vermeer, Jan Van Eyck. It have a huge paintings collection with 2300 pieces of it! So yeah if you a fan art galleries i could recommend it! My verdict is: 8/10 (great)
D. B.
This place is so inspiring and magical. Once I stepped in, I literally felt like I wan inside a Disney-castle. The architecture is fascinating. Also, the art collections literally range from romance and renaissance to cubism, expressionism and impressionism. I took so many pictures and just lost myself and got so immersed and felt the beauty of art.
I booked my ticket online a week before my visit. Although, you can find tickets but don’t wait for the last minute. It didn’t take me long to get in and the receptionist can keep your coats and jackets so you feel more light!
The cafeteria has a variety of foods and beverages. The shop is beautiful. There are certain books you can’t find elsewhere. Also, the merchandise is so beautiful. If you’re a fan of Van Gogh, Monet or Michelangelo or Rembrandt, go there!
The collections have a huge pieces of masterpieces and this is a one-time life opportunity, go and see the beauty!
I, myself, learned a lot. I studied Van Gogh’s techniques and Gaugin and Picasso , but I learned a lot when I saw the work in real life. It impacted my understanding and my appreciation of art.
There are like 6 masterpieces by Van Gogh and many other artists. But I personally prefer Vincent.
Go there, enjoy yourself, learn about beauty and buy books to learn more from the shop!
Final note, go to the National Gallery website and browse the artists or the collections you’re interested in, and the website will help you to find the rooms and the availability of the pieces.
S. B.
This place is worth visiting next time you have a couple of spare hours in London. A great opportunity to view art created over the past 500+ years. Amazing!
Just seen 'the blue boy' by Gainsborough. Excellent!
A. F. d. P.
What a mind blowing experience… just booked online and got a spot within half an hour, since we we already at the premises. Had to queue for approximately 15 minutes in a very long queue, but it went relatively fast as you just had to present your barcode and could go straight in. There wasn’t any charge, but you could give an optional donation of £5 , or pay £14,95 for a guide. A fantastic way to experience some of the most epic art in history.
C. L.
Came here for the Santa meet and greet, really good experience. Would definitely come back next year. All the staffs are extra friendly, very good at what they are doing, went out of their way to perform and make the experience magical for children. The manager wears the same Christmas jumper as my son which makes the child beyond happy. All the elves, Santa himself, storytelling, arts and crafts, all so perfect.
R. V.
Unbelievable how much the colonialism has taken from other countries. One of the best collections ever. Impressive paintings.
L. M.
A good place to stop, even just to get out of the rain. Not amazingly signposted inside but staff are very helpful :)
A. M.
This is my favourite place in London. In fact, this is one of the best art galleries in the world...and it's free!!!
You will find a great many world famous masterpieces here, and you will remember your visit forever.
F. E.
Love it here. The italian siena / florence room is divine. So much to see and all for free. Fantastic. Enjoyed my visit very much!!!
M. P.
Other than the fact the National gallery is one of the best museum in UK, you can enjoy the Christmas atmosphere there.
Various fancy Christmas items are on the market, however the most exciting point is the foods. We had german sausage and churros there and the foods were perfect for the winter snack.
D.
The National Gallery is an art museum in Trafalgar Square in the City of Westminster, in Central of Westminster, in Central London. It houses a very big collection of paintings. You can enter free, you just before need to do booking in there app. Amazing exhibition every time. You can see and enjoy paintings of most famous artists like: Leonardo da Vinci, Vincent van Gogh, Michelangelo and Picasso. Very recommended to come and enjoy the art pieces.
D. C.
Absolutely beautiful. Art is majestic! The history and age of the art their is outstanding. So much variety and different artistic styles. As someone who isn't too informed in the art world, I thoroughly enjoyed every second. Rubens, Di Vinci, Michaelangelo to name some. Children might find it a little boring, unless they have a keen like for art. I would love to visit again when I'm in London to see new exhibitions.
P. d. M.
Absolutely fantastic museum. What awesome experience to be able to appreciate so many top art works in the same place. And being free entrance makes it even worthy. The building itself is an architecture gem. Every room is in a different and rich style which adds up. Then, comes the vast collection starting with the Italian pre Renaissance masters. There are names as Michelangelo, Da Vinci, Raphael, Mantegna, Masaccio, Rembrandt, Caravaggio, Turner, Constable, Van Gogh, Monet, Seurat, Renoir and much, much more. A must.
K. N.
An absolutely amazing collection of paintings beautiful architecture really well worth a visit when coming to London
S. S.
Great free day in this huge gallery, seeing some of the worlds most famous paintings and some lesser know but equally beautiful paintings. You need to book your free ticket in advance and queued for about 5 minutes to get in but then plenty of space and able to get close to all the paintings.
b.
If you are interested in galleries or portrayls the National Gallery is a must visit in London. Amazing huge exhibitions with a lot of famous paintings from all centuries.
Y. H.
Lovely place and artwork. There are three routes available to do ranging from 25-35 minutes on average. However, as it is a large place, it is worth taking your time as there is a lot to take in. I would definitely visit again in order to go over some pieces that I did not give their due
A. O.
I strongly recommend visiting this museum if you are in London. The Docents were very helpful. The people outside ushered us inside as soon as possible to get us out of the rain. The artwork speaks for itself.
J. S.
It’s OPEN! After a long year and some new rules. The gallery in the heart of London is open! With new pieces and old to look at. Highly recommend for kids and families or Solo days out. Get away from the gloomy weather with a nice museum tour! It is quite crowded so bring your mask etc.
J. R.
Overall the National Gallery is an amazing place to see some art and delve into art history. Went specifically to see the Kehinde Wiley exhibition ( a little bit hard to understand at first, but read the book on display and got the message). It made me realise there isn’t much art around people of colour, cultures and religions. It’s great place to relax and just immerse yourself within the art.
f.
Beautiful works of art In a stunning setting. Seeing Van Goghs Sunflowers was incredible. Wish I'd had more time to spend there
N. C.
First time here and it wasn’t even a planned visit! Walking through the routes is almost like walking through the timeline of paint as a religious medium and slowly evolves into an artform.
The outdoor activity was amazing too where the public gets to draw their favourite piece from the gallery or just anything. It makes for a fun family activity just next to Trafalgar Square.
H. I.
Never a fan of galleries but the National Gallery has well and truly made me one. Manet, Monet, Cezanne, Rembrandt, Renoir - and my fav, Van Gogh.
Entrance is free and staff were exceedingly helpful and knowledgeable.
J. T.
Such a great place .. so much art on display. Also a handy place for a quick lunch though the main restaurant is closed for refurbishment at the moment.
D. V.
“Freedom Day” visit to The National Gallery. Been living in London for 15 years, can’t believe it was my first time here. I think I kept mixing it up with The National Portrait Gallery. First of all it felt very safe with time slots, everyone was masked and there was sanitiser readily available. The routes were helpfully marked with arrows (think IKEA). The permanent collection is obviously remarkable. A little bit of everything, Van Gogh, Rembrandt, Monet and a wonderful collection of iconography - which I’m a particular fan of. Speaking of fans - it was a very hot day and the museum was nice and cool. Wonderful gallery experience.
G. Ö.
Entrance is free. This gallery is a must-see place If you visit or live in London.
H. T.
A wonderful opportunity to see Gainsborough's Blue Boy and the Durer exhibition. With a sneaky walk through the impressionist paintings too! The staff here are the best, from offering my Mum a fold up chair, to explaining locations and others paintings of possible interest.
A. G.
One of my favourite museums. On display, free, thousand of paintings. When you are strolling in London and you want to have a moment of ecstasy and peace, This is the place. Enjoy.
F. F.
Of course a world class collection and well worth the trip—but 30+ minute queues to get in make you wonder what the point in reserving an entry time is. The galleries were packed with people rendering these Covid restrictions pointless.
M. M.
Very beautiful place my kids and I really enjoyed it.
P. M.
Great building, contents, etc; you'll get what you expect to at the gallery. Two main annoyances; it was cheaper to buy fizzy pop than small juice cartons at the cafe, I get it is necessary to invest in order to maintain places like this and that the prices reflect that but this is about balance. Second - the cloakroom; I don't think it was particularly busy when we went, we queued outside but this moved quickly. We'd bought umbrellas because this is England; we were told we had to check them into the cloakroom (fair enough, no one needs drippy umbrellas in a gallery). We queued longer to check in our umbrellas than to get in the gallery. Then we queued even longer to check them out. Get it together! This an awful customer experience. The whole cloakroom experience needs to (and could) be made a lot more efficient.
I recommend you don't take anything you need to check into the cloakroom!
A. C.
It’s huge. There are stunning masterpieces, I liked it even more than the Louvre. 10/10 would recommend, plus, it’s free.
N. G.
Well preserved paintings for artists from around world which are hundreds of years old. There are 3 routes to opt from, check the website to plan your routes or read it from the information desk. Expect queues if you are not a member, who will get priority entry. Even though tickets are free please consider donating. There are lot of cafes near by and it is good to chill in the Trafalgar square which is just outside the Gallery.
h. o.
Always a great place to visit lots and lots to learn many great masters to see . Personally I was thrilled to see a few more paintings by Salvator Rosa including self portraits .I never realised he was a poet as well I shall have to dig these up . Have been a great fan since seeing one of his works in the Fitzwilliam in Cambridge . Always a thrill for me to see the Wilton Diptych too but who can pick really so many great artists .
K. R.
Early in the nineteenth century, Britain experienced a great increase in the creation of art and also in demand for it. In response to this demand, the National Gallery was founded and built at Trafalgar Square, London. Today, The National Gallery is one of London’s most popular tourist attractions
P. S.
A truly magnificent museum with a well earned reputation. Impressive collections that can will need multiple trips to see and absorb everything.
J. K.
A great place to appreciate the masterpieces.
Bookings are required but you might be able to get in there any time.
P. G.
The National Gallery is a stunning venue during the day and even more spectacular when used in the evening for events. @whitelightevents transform the spaces.
A. Y.
a place full of masterpieces! recommended for all art lovers!
R. M.
The National Gallery is an art museum in Trafalgar Square in the City of Westminster, in Central London. Founded in 1824, it houses a collection of over 2,300 paintings dating from the mid-13th century to 1900.
G. M.
Advise you to book online before showing up.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
Had a great time, will come again!
S.
This place is so wonderful. They've beautifully set up paths to follow to be able to view all the paintings and its really nice for social distancing.
I've always loved this place and its still thoroughly enjoyable.
A great day out!
N. M.
Going to the National Gallery is a wonderful day out. It has a huge array of different artwork to admire from all around the world and from different time periods. Large selection of gifts in the shop. A particular favourite was seing the Sunflowers painting by Van Gogh.
R. M.
Breathtaking. Great European paintings. However, one can appreciate more if one has knowledge of Christianity, European history.
R. S.
Amazing place, Leonardo, Raphael and Michelangelo all the Ninja turtles are here 🐢🐢🐢🐢
J. T.
Loved it. Beautifully laid out and presented. Some of the most beautiful paintings ever painted.
D. B.
Booked a ticket online, so had quick entry into the gallery. It was busy (Friday afternoon) but not crowded. The art is of course incredible, you could easily spend half a day here. I didn't get to view it all in the 2 hours that I was there so I'd definitely return to look around properly.
T. T.
Simply a great place, love it. Second time visiting it, and I wasn't disappointed.
P.
Lovely man there, didn’t get his name. Told me and my dad some interesting facts about the paintings. Had a good chat with him throughout the visit. Particularly love the self portrait of Elisabeth Vigée Le Brun, Marie Antoinette’s painter.
B. W.
Free entry. Great experience here. Don’t miss it if you travel to London.
R. B.
Beautiful. Just beautiful. It’s hard to believe that a place with treasures like this is free for most people. Everyone was so nice, from the guards to the information desk and beyond. And the art is amazing.
S. A.
For being a free gallery it is extremely impressive, the artwork there is amazing and has a lot of description about each piece, it had Leonardo di vinci, Micheal angelo and van goph, as well as other astounding artists, the atmosphere is amazing and is a very large place so I recommend a few hours to be able to spend time in each place
M. T.
Amazing experience. I will be happy to go back! If you come to London it's totally worth visiting!
P. R.
Lots of great history and art here, I particularly enjoyed the Renoir and Rembrandt paintings.
B. C.
Always worth a visit, I specifically went to see Jan Matejko's "Copurnicus conversation with God" on display in a rare trip outside Poland, which was quite stunning. Tracked down a couple of Canalettos and a Pissarro too - so much to see, a day is never enough. Highlight recommended when in London - and a plus is Van Gogh's Sunflowers too!
G. N.
If you are in London and you love art, then this art gallery will keep you busy for 4 hours. Lots of wonderful art to see.Free entrance! Great day out!
S.
It was a very interesting museum to visit that allowed us to discover multiple painters, seeing different styles of paintings the little notes on each painting allow us to properly inform us about the paintings concerned, the different architecture of the rooms are just magnificent j I really liked taking the time to observe these gilding on the ceiling
M. M.
Went specifically to see The Ambassadors by Holbein and it was wonderful. So many things to see there and Trafalgar Square is fun.
A. H.
I finally made it here after 20years of living in London! And it was well worth going to. Yes, my favourite painting (The Fighting Temeraire) was in storage but that didn't prove to be a damper as there were paintings after paintings that were amazing to look upon. Mesmerising stuff. The surroundings are quite special which adds to the atmosphere. The fact it's free and I was able to bypass the queues by booking ahead was just the icing on the cake.
N. M.
My favourite museum - hundreds of paintings by various artists such as Caravaggio, Da Vinci, Botticelli, Bellini, Van Gogh, Monet, etc. The entrance is free and it is situated in Trafalgar Square which is also a great spot to visit.
S. M.
Absolutely stunning and huge collection! I was amazed with the gorgeous paintings! I recommend !!
C. R.
Lovely experience, very short wait time in front. It wasn't too crowded thankfully.
The national gallery has a wonderful and magnificent collection of art from around Europe.
V. B.
Impressive paintings collection. Visit can take few hours.
It is good to know in advance which paintings from the collection you would like to see and locate the rooms (you can find online), that should make your visit easier.
Navigation around different rooms was a bit confusing at times.
You can book free entry in advance online. And even if you come not during your hours, you won't be refused the entry.
Suggest not leave your coat in a cloakroom as exhibition finishes in another part of the building and you would need to find your way back which is quite confusing.
A. M.
Full of some of the biggest and best artwork this world has to offer. It's an absolute privilege to have access to such treasures. I came to visit the Durer exhibition and it never ceases to amaze me how the exhibition's are curated.
j. s.
Fantastic to wander along the halls to view the masters. Unfortunately the one room I wanted to go in was closed. Here's to the next time
K. M.
A lovely gallery, huge big striking pieces to smaller more delicate impressionist paintings. As a person without much knowledge on the subject or art, I find the info placed around the gallery helpful and interesting. The building itself is stunning and it’s wonderful that they offer the gallery for free to those who don’t feel they can donate.
L. L.
The gallery itself is exquisite and peaceful. My visit was some what ruined after staff member quite insistently tried to start a conversation with me about a paining, even after I'd said 'thank you, I'm okay thank you'. I tried to walk away and he followed me getting more pushy. I have strong social anxiety and just wanted to enjoy the paintings in my own way. A few moments after he walked to a couple right next to me and started the same conversation with them, gesturing to me saying 'I just tried to tell this lady but she wasn't interested' and they all had a chuckle at me. I found it very
humiliating and upsetting. I understand he was trying to be friendly but it was very unprofessional.
A. R.
Very helpful staff and well organised as one way system. 3 routes round to follow each exploring different parts of the gallery. Although I am not a lover of art and very little knowledge, I enjoyed looking at some of the pictures and noticed the difference in style between painters. The inside of the building is stunning and shouldn't be overlooked. As blue badge holders we were able to book the disabled bay at the back and just give a donation. As this place is totally free, it's amazing. Please be generous with your donation.
L. F.
Excellent collection of artworks. Registration is free and super easy, but make sure your phone is charged and you have data/wifi access to scan the QR code and submit the form. The cafe is also open as of now. Highly recommend for anyone visiting London, even if it's just for a few days: this is a 'must see'.
V.
Really nice and helpful staff members and a tone of really beautiful art no matter what type you like. However it's really big and easy to get lost. Also as of now you need tickets because of Covid which is pretty difficult scheduling.
R. P.
A very rich but surprisingly easy to view in one visit collection in an iconic building at an iconic location in a wonderful city. Entry is free. The artworks are magnificent. Titian, Raphael, Leonardo, Reubens, Van Gogh jostle for attention in a collection spread across three art routes which can all be visited in a leisurely way in one day. The shop on the upper level has a wonderful collection of books amongst other memorabilia and prints. We did not find the audio tour to be of any particular help. The paintings speak for themselves.
S. P.
Fabulous experience! I was overwhelmed by the beauty of the art. And to stand in front of Monet's lilies and Van Gogh's sunflowers took my breath away.
G. W.
Remember to book your free tickets before arriving to avoid disappointment!
J. T.
This is written in Jan 22 before we came out of plan B lockdown
Not all the museum is open but the three paths through the galleries that are definatley worth a visit. They encompass lots of the big name artists and well known paintings. You can easily spend three hours walking, looking and reading on the routes.
Why it's only a four star? For me the cafe let it down. Very expensive with two coffees and two cake coming in just short of £15. Nothing special either and the coffees would be small sized anywhere else.
Go have a look at the galleries, make a donation for the entetence fee, but food and drink will be cheaper outside.
F. L.
Amazing art work and architecture inside and outside the building, I had an amazing time there. You must pre book, it is free but bookings are required since covid!
J. Q.
One of the best value for money days out in Central London. Spent over three hours there and didn't see anything. Superb art throughout and something for all tastes. Not a venue for those with very young children but would highly recommend for all others.
M. M.
Let us in before closing time even without a reserved ticket (even though they are free)
Which was really kind of them. The place was mobbed! Had to wait in a few lines for exhibitions/entry security so Was Very very busy, but then it would be on a Saturday afternoon wouldn’t it. Either way a great and almost forgotten place of London’s west end packed with mesmerising Paintings and artefacts dating back centuries ago, a great visit
G. G.
Beautiful and well kept museum, Some absolutely amazing paintings there to see!
G. S.
Went to visit the national gallery in london. There were many galleries to see with beautiful art.
P. C.
Well worth a visit. One of the staff members named Alan was particularly helpful and so enthusiastic about the paintings. He took the time to explain techniques, perspective and symbolic references. He was a credit to the organisation and to art in general, a wonderful chap.
C. R.
For someone who do like arts like painting that's the place
M. L.
Amazing and incredible experience in the general exhibition. Spent more than 6 hours and fascinated me. The amount of pieces and the quality of em. Great difference in the benches that you can find here, in comparison with the TATE or the British Museum, in every room you will be able to find a bench so that you can spend as much time as you want on each room. Is friendly for people of all ages. A must in London for sure.
P. S.
An awesome place to spend your day immersing yourself in the various artistic creations of yester years.
M.
Very tastefully displayed classical paintings for all tastes.
B. P.
Not only it has one of the most surprising art collections, but it is also A BEAUTIFUL PLACE. Wow.
D. P.
Favorite place in London for art! Definitely one of the best galleries worldwide. Love the Caravaggio and Van Gogh paintings!
Only thing that I didn’t like on my last visit was the noisy staff who were talking and laughing like they were on the market and not in a gallery.
M. S.
Very well maintained. A marvellous collection.
Grand and majestic works of art. Excellently organized according to time periods, nations and art movements.
There are benches and sofas for you to sit and rest awhile in every hall and room.
I went on a Saturday and it was packed with people. I guess weekdays will be a better time to visit.
L. M.
A wonderful museum. The staff members were helpful, knowledgeable and fun.
o.
I spent about 3 hours here in December, barely saw a third of it, great gallery, enough for a few visits without seeing the same thing more than once. It's set up well, with different routes to see different areas.
R. C. S.
Great place with a relaxed atmosphere to spend an afternoon in. Tad bit crowded for my taste given COVID and all that, particularly in the cafe, but it's definitely a worth a look for any art fans out there.
G. M.
I went there today again. It’s been a while. I love it every time. You can get lost occasionally because of the arrows ( one way- the COVID situation) so be careful not to miss some rooms because you can’t get back. Must see.
D. C.
Lots of great pieces by so many legends of the painting scene, all in super vibrant condition. But can we have more exit signs. Go in circles for ever.
P. R.
Visited to see the Durer Exhibition. The colours and lighting in the paintings provided an almost photographic image in many cases. There were also many fine examples of printing using either engraving or woodcuts. Altogether a very enjoyable experience.
B. F.
One of the best gallery I've been to, and I could not go through more than half of it, but I will go back for sure, only the Prado and Bornemissza in Madrid gave me better experience so far.
A. R.
A very efficient service. Tickets pre booked and disabled bay for parking was available at the back. Some lovely paintings and very impressed with the number of staff and fabulous building and it's all FREE. Donations are welcome. The shop is very expensive. I am not a lover of art generally but I enjoyed what I saw.
T. U.
I sometimes go just to enjoy the architecture. That coupled with the paintings. There is always something new to discover and to think it is all for free.
E. O.
First time here and I cannot say I was blown away by its pieces of art. As a matter of fact, I liked the building very much. It's big enough and spotless clean. The staff are very friendly.
There are certain pieces that must be admired but not too many. I think this is the perfect museum for someone who isn't into museums and needs more time admire and observe. Otherwise, not really planning to return any time soon.
M.
Incredible art work. Interior designs inside the room were captivating. Great place to visit for art lovers. All is well.
M. F.
Another of my favourite Galleries to visit. I go as often, as I can.
C. P.
Majestic gallery with very well curated exhibitions. There are some truly unique pieces - such as the Van Gogh sunflower! The rooms are just as beautiful as the paintings hosted. The museum is very well organised, with security around the museum to ensure that there aren't too many people around and with hand sanitiser throughout. Definitely recommend it.
S. A.
This museum was truly so beautiful! Getting to see Van Gogh’s art in real life was such an honour. The staff are all really nice and not too intrusive but ready to help. The building is breathtakingly beautiful. There’s so much seating and it isn’t too loud, it’s the perfect museum feeling to get lost in the art. I loved every moment here. Some of the other paintings were also very beautiful and it’s like a labyrinth, you can go from room to room for different collections and you’ll find your way back to the main hall easily. I definitely recommend this, it’s also for free!
M. G.
Amazing Gallery.
Poussin and the Dance, Kehinde Wiley and permanent collections all amazing and worth the visit!
Christmas market outside so if visiting gallery in the afternoon be sure to warm yourselves up after with some delicious churros! A little on the expensive side but it is Trafalgar Square so expect this.
J. B.
Visited the Albrecht Dürer exhibition. Fabulous insight into an artist who I'd never experienced before. £22 per ticket which I believe is good value.
K. &. A. G.
Amazing and well known paintings are arranged in date order. Our daughter loved to see how styles and techniques changed over time. The time slots meant it was quite busy, but not over crowded.
G. M.
This is a fantastic Art Gallery with fabulous paintings. They have an exhibition on at the moment showcasing the art of Artemisia Gentileshi an amazing female Baroque painter who was trained by her father. The colours are sumptuous and the paintings all tell stories. Well worth a visit. They also have Titian and other great artists.
L. M.
An afternoon spent here is wonderful for the soul. Was nice and quiet during my visit which enabled me to spend as much time as I wanted to take in the wonders of the gallery
I. S.
Loved it, loved it, loved it!!! Didn't want to leave and go home. Unbelievably amazing place.
o.
Great gallery, free entry and lovely place, full of the most famous portraits. Careful with the timing 10 to 17 are the usual hours when museum is open to public it deserves more then one look!
L. S.
Definitely wished I had all day to explore the entire gallery. Personally not a huge fan of visual art but it is beautiful and a worth mark to visit when in London
M. A. T.
What an amazing day in London, I had to fit in a visit to the National Galley, with just two hours before closing, it was easy to book a visit via the app and it’s amazing what you can see in just two hours, JMW Turner, Vermeer, Rembrandt and the Impressionist painters but to mention a few, next time your in London make a visit it a minutes walk from Trafalgar Square. Enjoy
Marc A Turner, Warrington Based Artist
C. L.
This is the National Portrait gallery in the heart of London, outside Trafalgar Square, displaying a collection of portraits of famous people and artist of historically significance to the British people. Opening in 1856, It was the first portrait gallery in the World. Wow
W. P.
I had an absolutely amazing time here. I went on a Sunday but it wasn't overwhelmingly busy. The best time to go is on the morning, and it would be best to visit all of the famous and popular pieces first, then to wander shortly through the quiet rooms. Entrance is free although a £10 donation is requested
A. M.
Staff were so friendly and helpful. Masks were worn by most people inside which was nice and was a comfort to me. Cafe quite expensive. Only a few toilets are open at the moment and not on each floor which was a bit inconvenient but I can understand why. Amazing building! Amazing paintings from the best of the best artists plus some new artists and paintings on loan definitely worth seeing. I never tire of this place- there is too much to see and I can't wait to come back. Spent about 4 hours liking around and probably only did 1/4 or the entire gallery l hear they open lates every Fri too.
Fantastic day! There is also one blue badge parking at the back which needs to be reserved in advance. Easy to get to and an accessible route to the front entrance.
A. M.
The National Gallery is huge and free. Although, the staff do try to pressure you to make a donation of $10. The selection of art definitely caught my attention. There were so many rooms and so many people. I only spent about 45 minutes browsing before I got overwhelmed by it all. The museum is open later (until 9pm) on Fridays so that may be your best bet for beating the crowds.
d. d.
Easily one of the greatest things you can do in this world at no cost. Thank you so much National Gallery! You are an absolute wonder!
E. G.
Beautiful historical gallery with highlights from Monet and Van Gogh. 🌻
B. S.
The best collection of pre-17th Century oil painting in London.
S. K.
So many valuable pictures here. Very thankful and lucky to see these great pictures for free!
W. M.
Visiting the NG is a bit like swallowing an entire box of liqueur chocolates in one go: so many riches to enjoy. However, until April 22 you also have another truly astonishing display: the Kehinde Wiley special exhibition. This us worth travelling from the dark side of the moon to visit.
E. L.
Wonderful. It is just satisfying seating there alone.
M. S.
An unbelievable amount of history all in one building that amazingly is free of charge (donate £5 per person)
J. F.
Not to be missed. There is a lot to see here. Best if you plan before and make a decision on routes B or C as you cannot do both. That said whichever you choose you will be amazed. There are paintings here that are known the world over. The staff are friendly but firm about numbers and you can easily spend a day here or just an hour or two ticking off many of the great artist. Food for the mind and soul.
J. R.
Went to see Gainsborough's Blue Boy. Was not disappointed.
Easy to find the building, simple to book in, staff very helpful and whole attraction was clean and tidy.
E. W. (.
Absolutely loved our time at the national gallery so much things to look at their you could almost get lost. I lost my partner to the monet's for at least 15 minutes.
O. A.
Amazing place! I enjoyed the experience of being in this fantastic place with my family. Van Gogh, Da Vinci and Kehinde Wiley exhibition were the highlight of my visit.
P. H.
Excellent gallery, on Trafalgar Square. Entrance is free, but they ask for donations - similar to other museums and these donations are discretionary. Good art collection, well displayed, throughout. It tends to get busy with tourists, which reduces a bit the value of the experience there. But overall, I would say that it is a must-see place.
P. B.
Great place. Starting from middle-ages ending in 20th century. Big variety of paintings and top of the painters. I have spent there more than 3 hours looking on 1 painting for a really short time.
P. “. B.
One of the best museums in the world for renascent art.
D. P.
Its big, and there is a ton of art! That is an Americans take, lol. It was absolutely gigantic! I am not an art lover, but even if you swiftly walk through every room its likely to take you several hours. Google the number of items on the wall, and multiply by 30 seconds per piece and you might get the average time if you are really browsing fast. There is a lot of good comfy seating though, so be sure to take advantage of that. You feet will thank you! There are also these awesome portable chairs you can carry with you! Those are worth grabbing!
А. Р.
Classic painting, Renaissance art and great collection of impressionists. You will see Rembrandt, Renoir, Claude Monet, Edgar De Gas and other great artists.
Easy to find on the Trafalgar Square by google maps. You don’t need tour guide. Free entrance!
S. W.
It was well managed. You can only go in with Pre-booked ticket. Was very pleasant.
C. M.
Didn’t really manage to visit the art gallery inside due to timing constraints but looking outside of it,I’m pretty sure it’s a worth visit especially if you’re a fan of arts. For sure, you’ll enjoy it.
Normally they would have some events happening outside the gallery like this time
when we visited, Christmas theme. Down part of it is the Trafalgar Square.
Closest stations are Charing Cross and Leicester Square
I had fun even just outside of this gallery and took many photos. So yes, worth a visit.
H. N. M.
Fabulous art gallerie, collection of beautiful and memorable painting. Free admission, spend as much times as you can inside and outside this great gallery.
T. H. K.
This was quite a remarkable art museum at the Trafalgar square in London. I am not even much interested in art or art history, but the building, the beautiful architecture of it and the huge monumental pictures catched me.
For me as a person without a huge interest in arts it was a cool experience. So just imagine, if you are a art-geek how awesome this museum will be for you. Go for it if you want to see some really famous pics.
C. G.
Beautiful place to spend time and admire astonishing paintings. Well maintained and with all facilities required.
D. W.
A very lovely art gallery which can spend a few hours there, it has a cafe, clean toilets and a souvenir shop. It’s very nice just to walk around and look at the beautiful art pictures. Entrance is free but need to prebook online, and there is a queue to line up to get in. It’s popular and more people than I expected.
П. И.
Amazing gallery, I made only one route in 1 hours, so will definitely come back for another 2.
E. C.
So many amazing pieces, and a stunning building.
B. D.
Impressive building with impressive paintings. Worth a visit even if you're not particularly into art
R. B.
great museum with a lot of varied paintings, well worth visiting since it is free
S. A.
Gorgeous museum with some heavy-hitting works. Monet, Van-gogh, Manet, and plenty of others. The gallery is immaculately decorated and the rooms allow you to freely wander as you please. Do yourself a favor and visit! Of course order your free ticket ahead of time to reserve your spot. After the visit we walked around Trafalgar square and down towards Parliament and Westminster Abbey.
S. U.
What a lovely gallery, so much to see and learn. The only way to visualize what times were like hundreds of years before you were born.
H. S.
The National Gallery is a must and one of my favourites in London. It houses so many great pieces and you can get so close. Even those who claim to know nothing about art will find a painting that they know and be wowed. It can be difficult to navigate your bearings around the rooms but that is actually part of the magic...you always get out eventually. Ha ha! The cafes and restaurants are also great quality and clean. Exhibitions are always so clever and well put together. Always great value too.
S. G.
Not very impressed with the shops. They used to have a big one downstairs now only 2 little ones. Cafe very expensive went elsewhere
P. M.
Wonderful experience. I've been there with my husband and my baby and we enjoyed a lot. Cafeteria is also welcoming and has delicious meals. Great for thinking or if you want to have a moment of peace. Must visit
r.
The best place to see art in the UK. You can get endlessly stuck wandering their halls and at every corner lies another brilliant piece. Beautiful exterior and situated around public transport- although it's likely that the transport was made around it.
S. C.
Must see for anyone who's visiting London. As always, there is no entrance fee. The building is beautiful and massive! The collection is huge too! Every prominent painter is presented such as Rubens, Van Gogh, Rembrandt, Van Eyck and Michelangelo!
E. J.
Free entrance & free locker provided to keep your bag or whatsoever. Green interior, too many breathtaking artworks & I managed to snap some random photos of strangers, I dont know jkjk. Souvenir quite expensive here.
K. B.
Amazing place. I visited this Saturday.Gallery is really impressive. The staff was very politely and professional. Specially the guys in front of the building, they was very helpful and help me with registration. I recommend it to do it before you came in gallery.
W. L.
Wonderful museum, allow more time to explore each gallery
P. P.
This is an excellent art museum with a well designed and thought out layout. It has a huge collection of rare, special, and important works. It is easily accessible with a coat check, several restrooms, and recently renovated and redesigned entrance. Would strongly recommend for any visit to London.
M. R.
It was a fascinating experience. Lots of pictures and I love the architecture of the gallery.
M. G.
A wonderful peaceful and inspirational gallery
P. S.
It's a large gallery! You can't see everything at once
P. S.
The National Gallery houses the national collection of paintings in the Western European tradition from the 13th to the 19th centuries. It is on show 361 days a year, free of charge.
The Gallery's aim is to care for, enhance and study its collection, so as to be able to encourage access to the pictures for the education and enjoyment of the widest possible public now and in the future. It aims for the highest international standards in all its activities.
A stunning place in London!!! 🇬🇧
R. V.
Another 'must' in London.
If you are not very interested in art go to see their top ten paintings. (See their website)
Don't miss The Embassadors by Holbein. Ask a member of staff how to see it.
It is a very large gallery with thousands of paintings by the most famous artists.
The coffee shops are good and not too pricey if you compare with other places in Trafalgar Square.
If you want to take good pictures go first thing in the morning.
Don't forget to look at the mosaics on your way out (It used to be the main entry)
The gallery is free but some of the members of the staff are quite pushy when 'asking for a donation'.
They have some seats inside if you want to rest a little or appreciate the paintings.
D. C.
Impressive place both in and outside. Inside we can find great paintings of some of the most renowned artists of the history; it is well organised and it is very easy to find your favourite artists. It also has a coffee shop which offers a great espresso. Besides, we can get some exclusive souvenirs. Outside, well, Trafalgar Square which is just amazing.
C.
Great place to spend a day or an afternoon. A huge variety of paintings from some of the world's best artists. Great vibe and has sufficient seats for resting. Free entry but donations are recommended - it's great for education and inspiration!
P. S.
Could have spent hours and hours in this place. Some amazing works to be seen here. We visited on a reasonable day weather wise and people were queuing. Beware, there's booking system in place even though it is free entry.
A. C.
Simply one of the world's great art collections, with comprehensive collection of western art from early Italian religious painting through to post impressionist and early 20th Century (after that go to the Tate Bankside). There are many highlights - all a matter of personal taste though I guess. I always enjoy the vistas as you approach Holbein's Ambassadors, or Stubbs' Whistlejacket, but my favourite picture is Winter Landscape by Caspar David Friedrich. The museum is brilliantly free to enter, though the blockbuster exhibitions can be pricey. There are often excellent, smaller, free displays however. They also do a lot of great, free kids' activities on weekends too.
J. L.
One of the biggest benefits of living in London is being able to visit the National Gallery as much as I like. For tourists, the size might be a bit overwhelming, but never mind that it's full of existence enhancing, wonderful things.
Ν. Μ.
I loved this place,so many famous and great paintings..... need more than 2 or 3 hours for a tour....
F. N.
One of the best museums I have ever been in. The pieces of art I have seen here, will never leave my mind. The building itself is gorgeous and the way the gallery's are arranged, are nice to look at. I did not really expect to find van Gogh here, but I was pleased nonetheless. But because of the fact that the building is quite big, you can find yourself lost pretty easily. Buying a map comes in pretty handy and it is a small price to pay, as you don't have to pay an entrance fee. All in all is this a must see for anyone planning to visit London.
O. K.
Amazing, fantastic, incredible!
Unfortunately, due to my very busy schedule in London this time, I only got about two hours for a visit, which is absolutely nothing if you wish to explore this gem of a museum to the fullest. At least one full day should be planned - the territory is vast, the collection is extremely versatile; so I think that even the un-artiest crowd would be able to find something of interest.
My personal favourites are the Dutch flower artists in room 17A and the painting called "Cognoscenti in a Room hung with Pictures" - its incredible details are like nothing I have ever seen before.
C. D.
It was amazing. Beautiful paintings by masters. Definitely a must do for art lovers. You can also have some of the art works printed. Take a bit of time to look at the incredible street artists in front of the gallery. Talented people with passion.
T. E.
Beautiful morning visit. Was surprised at how small the collections were. Was expecting a little more but had a great visit all the same. Love the perfectly placed seating and the shop was great too. My two personal favourite 📸s
M. L.
All this current situation just makes your visit to the gallery like a bad quest.
You have to think twice and than again to estimate the rout. One extra step and you can’t enter the room you need/want without making meters of walking through the corridors.
You want to compare to works of one painter that are exhibited in different rooms? Ha-ha! No way.
And the staff will not help you in 50%. It’s like a Russian roulette.
Titian’s exhibition “Love, Desire, Death” is a 1-room space with 7 paintings.
“Sin” exhibition is also in a well hidden hall where you can find nicely selected art pieces from the collection of the National Gallery united with each other by one topic. You can find out how the sin was appraised by different generations.
D. D. R.
Huge world class gallery with amazing pieces from various artists in thr middle of the city. It is free and gets very busy even during the week. Staff is friendly and tries to help with any questions you might have about the art. There is guided audio tour, restaurant, and gift and souvenir shop around the artwork. Make sure to get a map so you do not get lost.
E. H.
Found my favourite artists' paintings here Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Monet and Rubens... So respect British National Museum opens for public without admission fee. They did lots of efforts to look after these paintings and keep upgrade its environment and facilities for visitors. No matter support them through the donation box at the entrance or shopping in gift shop and book store in the museum, will be a kind appreciation to their efforts.
F. “. D. T. S. M. B.
Absolutely loved every moment I spent there. What's not to love about a spotless gallery full of some of the most amazing pieces of art on the planet. Faultless
P. G. E. W.
The National Gallery is right off of Trafalgar Square. You will see the monument with the lions and a lovely fountain on display. You tend to find random buskers, entertainers, and artists here. The National Gallery smells like polished wood and oil paints. Some of the pieces here are exquisite. "The Execution of Lady Jane Gray" by Delaroche is so vivid and life like, you feel as though you could walk up and take her out of the painting. I saw my first Van Gogh painting in real life here, and I cried tears of joy. If you can find Michaelangelo's early works, do so to have a bit of a laugh. Before he became a master some of his earlier painted figures were quite laughable. I think it is important for young artists to see other masters early work. It shows how time and dedication to one's craft can improve and change dramatically over time.
M.
One of the best galleries I have ever been. So many famous paintings of all times. Just amazing. I could spend the whole day there , but I had limited time.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they have nice souvenir store at the gallery.
D. R.
What a wonderful place to be.
Whether you live in London or slightly further out, everyone should visit this gallary (its free!).
Some of the best art in the world, in an environment that is calm and relaxing. I will certainly be returning.
M. A.
December 2021.
An exquisitely quintessential experience.
T. T.
A perfect gallery in the heart of London. Works from the greats, including Da Vinci, Rembrandt, Monet, Picasso, Michelangelo, and so many more.
With changing exhibits and pieces on loan, be sure to use their website to find the things you'd like to view before coming in. Or, take the walk on your own and discover what is hanging up and waiting to be appreciated.
Book free tickets online before you go, and enter on the West side of the Museum. It is just at the Northwest corner of Trafalgar Square.
Enjoy!

The National Gallery was not on my list of places to see when in London. I’m not a major art buff by any means.
I’m glad I got the chance to visit the Gallery though as it was wonderful. It’s fun to see all of the art work throughout many generations! It’s also a good place to cool down if you need a break from the outdoors. I didn’t see the entire gallery as it’s far too big for the amount of time I had, but definitely worth the quick visit.
Another great thing about it, it’s free to enter (they do request a donation).
If you have an extra hour or so, just stop in!
P. L.
Not just a pile of paintings! The exhibits are well curated and include temporary shows as well as galleries that are more or less fixed, showing off the permanent collection. If you're not sure what to see, try the portrait of the day, a talk given by museum staff. They're about 25 minutes and a good intro to whatever room they've chise.
C. C.
This is a fabulous public museum and entry is free. This is great for tourists but even more special for those of us that can visit more frequently. It provides the opportunity to see different exhibits and special displays as well as the various works of art that the National Gallery has in it's archives.
You can't really appreciate much of the art and what it means to you until you are able to revisit them, and also to take advantage of the guided tours that the museum offers which provide insight into what goes into the production of many of the paintings. Although it's easy to appreciate the talent of the artists, It always amazes me just how complicated and sophisticated the composition and productions are.
I usually include an overview on the facilities, and like the art, what the National Gallery provides if first class: first class handicap access to everything that I am aware of; bathroom facilities that are accessible, clean, well maintained, with facilities for families and handicap as well as the usual genders; restaurants and cafe's that could stand on their own as well as embedded in a facility; book stores, gift stores, painting reproductions in a variety of mediums, sizes; and literally everything the gallery owns has been digitized in high resolution and available for free download from their website.
Highly recommended, especially if you can visit frequently. You will never get tired of seeing their wonderful collection of art, experts, special exhibits and tours.
A. L.
An incredible art gallery with many iconic/well known pieces see. The building is absolutely stunning! I managed to get some photos at night because it's lit really well. I'll add more photos of inside next time I visit. Definitely a must visit location for all art lovers
K. L.
The National Gallery is located at Trafalgar Square. The museum is to the north of Charing Cross Station.
Upon arrival at Trafalgar Square you are confronted by a magnificent building, that being the National Gallery. As usual with museums in London, there is a security check before entry.
This museum is free but I would suggest that a small donation is justified.
This museum houses over 2300 paintings dating from the 13th century to the 1900's, painted by the world's greatest artists. I'm from Australia and have only read or seen photos of these masterpieces, but to be only inches from these paintings is awe-inspiring.
I was particularly captivated by the portrait of the Doge Leonardo Loredan by Bellini.
V. F.
Large museum with so many rooms on different floors, all which hold great art from some renowned artist including Leonardo da vinci. Entry to the museum is free although donations are welcomed so you can drop whatever amount you wish to upon entering.
When I asked a guard, I was told we were not allowed to take pictures of the paintings but I saw a few people taking pictures of paintings without being cautioned so I can't say anything about that (maybe it was not allowed in the room I was in when I asked).
I have included pictures of one of the few stores in the museum where souvenirs were sold.
C. A.
A great collection! Lots of safety procedures put in place due to the current climate. I felt safe and it wasn’t too busy as I had booked a slot. Close to lots of restaurants and transport links. Right on Trafalgar Square! Fab.
C. B.
Free entry which is good, donations are encouraged. A beautiful building with lots of exhibits to look at. Cafe inside, which is a bit pricey but still very good and friendly staff. Gift shops for all your museum goodies.
張.
Not bad at all for people who visits London for the very first time. Although not all of the exhibits are free to public, it's still a joyful experience to be here and really see those authentic masterpieces.
M. T.
This is an amazing treasure trove of many of the great artists in time. Their are so many styles to contend with and lots of seating to either draw or look and admire. One of the greatest art galleries bar none.
M. P.
Your visit according your time.
First at all. Most of London museums are free, you can give your personal offer. But since this you can take the best of the museum according available time and what whom you are doing the visit.
In National Gallery, it’s possible to spend days and days... or just 1-2 hours if you are in a rush with kids.
Or you can choose just the rooms of paintings the ages you prefer.
Buy the small guide (2£, 2019) and you have the current best of the best.
W.
It was amazing, and loved the art and the atmosphere 👌🏾
A. B.
Beautiful and historic. Glad it's free entry for the public. Exactly how it should be and a beautiful, educational service
Highly reccomend to anyone, especially those remotely interested in arts and culture

A must visit place in a London tour
C. C.
Wonderful visit and really enjoyed looking at the beautiful art on display. The day I visited was on Saturday and very busy on the upper levels. Down stairs was virtually no one and plenty of time to sit and really take in the experience. You may visit the Gallery at no cost however a donation is certainly worth It!!!
G. G.
Very good museum, free entrance for permanent collections, late opening on Fridays (9pm), classical paintings and some masterpieces (Van Gogh). Also a cafeteria and guided tours or conferences available. 5/5
J. M. A. S. K.
A lovely place with a bar on the ground floor! The gallery is really big and you can get lost in there, but don't worry they sell maps! Anyways there are really more than 300 pictures I think and there is also the "sunflowers" of Van Gogh. A pretty place to visit
J. S.
Wonderful free gallery on Trafalgar Square
Spent many hours here in the past.
Today however was a pre-booked time-slotted Children's Christmas Experience.
Started off with the decorating of paper snowflakes. Followed by the elves telling a Xmas story. Unfortunately, the grandson is a typical wee boy and doesn't have the attention span to sit and listen (that's what wee girls do not what wee boys do)! He would much rather have continued playing on the sleigh which of course was frowned on because the story was in progress. So instead we sneaked off to see Santa. By which time the wee one peeved at not having it all his own way was being uncooperative and refused to sit on Santa's knee for photoshoot (sensible boy) 😂 After this was a game of musical statues with the elves but of course he hung back from this too, simply because he would rather have played on the sleigh but because of the other activity wasn't allowed to.
In general the concept was a good one. But perhaps a little leniency to the organisation of it for younger children could have been cooperated into it. Especially since it was nearly £34 for it!
Still, the daughter enjoyed it immensely even if her son didn't. Perhaps next year when he's that wee bit older as only currently 3. And 3 is a wee bit young to be rushed through events and to act as the organiser expected of him...!
At the end of the experience came out with printed photos of child with Santa, a wee badge, a snowflake, some reindeer food and a prezzie from Santa.
Mahoosive queue for this event on exiting it!
I give 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 for the gallery
I give 3 ⭐⭐⭐for the Children's Christmas Experience

A vast array of art but what a boring display, do the curators have no imagination? AND why does the information provided for each one have to be microscopic? Seriously, I might wear glasses but why so small?
As for being assailed by iPad bearing donation seekers, the moment we walk in the door. Just crass. Make it a fiver donation to come in and be done with it. That's £25m, to run the show plus the mega donations.
O. D.
We really enjoyed visiting The National Gallery, entry ticket is free but you have to book in advance, for adequate crowd management.
There was no queue when we got there, they just let us straight in, and bags checked.
Environment was clean & peaceful, staff members were helpful. Hand sanitisers were available all around. Also there are chairs around most rooms, where people could sit and rest .
We couldn’t go round in one day, because we were tired. Kids loved it but, but two year old got really tired and restless.
Overall, Nice pictures, nice environment, will recommend.

I completed section A and wasn't too impressed. They have an extensive collection of art but they give no information on why the pieces shown are significant. They only describe what is seen in the painting. As someone who isn't well-versed in art, I didn't feel like I got the full experience; I felt like I'd just looked at a bunch of old paintings with a few superficial explanations of what I was looking at and of the times they were created. Key art works were highlighted with no explanation for why they were important or why they had been selected as "must see pieces". The navigation was also really confusing. I'll be heading back to see sections B and C and hope to have a better experience.
S. B.
If you're a fan of art then that's the right place for you to go! The Gallery is really huge. Here you can find Velázquez, Monet, Manet, Van Gogh, Klimt, Delacroix, Van Eyck, Da Vinci... should I continue? I was dreaming of seeing the Arnolfini Portrait and I found it here. Don't hesitate to go there! It's also free as all of the museums in London so you don't pay any taxt.
D. C.
Stunning. But watch out you don't get bogged down in all the religious works around the time of the Reformation - there is much more in offer!
The fact the gallery is free makes it a great proposition to approach in multiple bite sized chunks: tackle a colour coded section at a time over the course of a week.
J. M.
It was a truly amazing place ! You can count 2,3 or even 4 hours if you really want to feel the art of the National Gallery! Besides, the entry is free ! You can see a vast amount of paints : from religion to autoportraits. It's truly inspiring and the ideal place for people who loves art. But even people who aren't fond of art should see it once, even the structure of the building is Worthing a museum!
V. N. V.
The National Gallery is one of London's most must-see place. Here displays thế artistic quintessence thật Britain creates and collection from all over thế world. It is the most massive and precious treasure of art through the ages. When you come to London, never forget this place - The National Gallery.
A. M.
Wonderful experience!
I enjoyed spending a good few hours inside. had a lovely time with my partner and we loved the displays. The staff was very kind and helpful when we asked certain questions and the gift shop was suprisingly good, I walked away with a few guilty pleasure buys! Will visit again when I return to the Uk and would recommend for anyone interest in art, culture or looking for a relaxed day!
V. R.
Always a wonderful time visiting the gallery. Alan, one of the docents, really brought Hans Holbein The Younger's The Ambassadors painting to life for my wife, brother in law, and me, showing us several of the tricks of perspective at play. His friendliness and insight really made our visit. Can't wait to return on our next trip.
M. C.
Great art gallery! I would definitely recommend it only with the audio guide (5£). You also need to take 3 hours only to see the highlights piece of artwork. Do not miss it if you go to London! Enjoy !
m. b.
Wonderful opportunity for everyone out there to and visit a stunning Museum. All for free so no excuses, we all need a little Art in our life.
E. P.
Varied gallery of paintings from Michaelangelo, Raphael, and Leonardo. Too bad I did not see any works from Donatello. There's also some Rembrandt, and Picasso pieces (Sunflower and Chair). Also this trip inspired me to take photos of all the corner dogs in paintings
A. E.
Very amazing experience, the atmosphere from the architecture and the artworks were awe-inspiring. If you want an even better experience, go find Bev.
Bev is one of the staff there and her politeness, happy and very calm nature made talking about the art delightful. Bev put a smile on me and my friends faces and she will definitely put one yours 🤍
L. D.
We always visit the National Gallery whenever we're in London. A very beautiful edifice. They have a very wide collections of art from great masters.
H. F.
Free admission to a beautifully designed building that has some world famous pieces of art inside. Can’t believe I have been to London so many times before and not been in!
At present you enter through the Sainsbury Wing to the left of the front entrance (if you were facing the building). You need to book a free ticket to get in, it’s worth doing before you get there.
Loved seeing the Turner, Constable, Monet, Pissarro, Caravaggio, Gauguin, Seurat, Da Vinci and Van Gaugh. I took lots of photos that should be attached with the review to see some snippets.
There are marked routes to see different pieces, but I found myself always taking the wrong turn. Shout out to the employees Alan and Anton who separately gave us tips and directions when we were wandering about. They were so knowledgeable and friendly, they’re a credit to the gallery. All of the staff we encountered were helpful, I hope that they are appreciated by the national gallery bosses.

The National Gallery is a truly amazing place to be, specially for art lovers. Founded in 1824, it houses a collection of over 2,300 paintings dating from the mid-13th century to 1900. Admission to the gallery is completely free, which is not the case in other galleries situated in different European cities. The gallery is very well kept and you'll find all the original paintings of famous painters starting from 13th to 20th century like Duccio, Uccello, van Eyck, Lippi, Mantegna, Botticelli, Dürer, Memling, Bellini, Michelangelo, Raphael, Holbein, Bruegel, Bronzino, Titian, Veronese, Caravaggio, Rubens, Poussin, Van Dyck, Velázquez, Claude, Rembrandt, Cuyp, Vermeer, Canaletto, Goya, Turner, Constable, Ingres, Degas, Cézanne, Monet, and Van Gogh.
Apart from the regular galleries, there are also exhibitions held often in this place, along with other events which you could attend if you're interested. Don't forget to visit the National Portrait Gallery too, which is located right by the side of the National Gallery, but often overlooked by the tourists.
M. D.
Simply amazing.
To stand amongst paintings that were done by masters long ago is simply sureal.
My only issue is the difficulty of navigating the extensive galleries as a first time visitor. They need to hand out maps or have maps in every room or nearly every room indicating where you are and what artists are in which rooms.
When visiting don't forget to have a look at the talented street artists out front, their hard work definitely warrants the attention.
Also the curio/souvenir shop can sell you a print of varying size of selected paintings, this gets printed while you wait so I recommend doing this before wandering around the gallery so you can collect on your way out.

Amazing place! I felt like I could spend a month in this museum and still not able to look at and understand all the artifacts present here. It has galleries related to Egyptian civilization, Greeks, Romans, watches, Japanese culture, US, Africa etc. You can buy souvenirs here too. The entry to this museum is free. Must visit place in London if you are interested in understanding history and culture.
A. W.
Some of the best art in recent history. Well worth a visit when in London!
B. F.
A must-visit for any art lover in London, it's undoubtedly one of the greatest fine art museums in the world, and it's free! The National Gallery is a walk-in encyclopaedia of Western art movements from Gothic art (The Wilton Diptych) to post-impressionism (Cézanne). The gallery can be overwhelming for a casual visit, so I recommend coming prepared with a list of paintings/styles/painters that you are interested in and focussing on them. The museum is *free*, so you can come for as many visits as you please. The National Gallery conveniently stands directly on Trafalgar Square, so if you get any museum fatigue, you can escape into the London square and soak in some life
K. N.
Fantastic museum and has one of the best collections of any art museum in the world. If you really want to go through it properly you need a few hours.

Amazing place

We visited the Leonardo Experience which is a great idea: only one painting (The Virgin of the Rocks) and extra information about the style, age and environment. Sometimes it was too fast (it would be great to compare the painting with the Louvre's version, which is 20 years earlier), and the information about the Milan church was lack of details. But the experience was fantastic and art itself: how the focus could be set to the important details.
The connected free exhibition with other paintings about the same biblical event gave a wider view as well.
S. R.
Best gallery in London (in my opinion). Beautiful artwork and building. Easily accessible and plenty of things to do around as well. Very well layed out which makes it very easy to walk around and see everything while not getting lost.
V. R.
With no doubt one of the most important museums in the world for fine arts. Paintings are organised in three chronological clusters: 16th, 17th and 18th-20th century. My personal favourite is the one with the earliest paintings (sainsbury wings) with masterpieces by Leonardo, Piero della Francesca, Carlo Crivelli (unique large collection in one same place), Botticelli, Antonello da Messina to name a few. If you want to see the whole national gallery in detail you should consider at least three half days. There is an audioguide but a lot on informative panels can also guide you through the collection. Nice cafe with food and beverages at the ground floor. The museum is free, but to contribute to the maintenance of this amazing collection you can consider a donation or buy something at the shop!
C. M.
Beautiful, breathtaking paintings in every direction but VERY crowded and loud. Make sure to go on an off time to be able to peacefully enjoy yourself. The museum isn't as big as the others, so feels very densely populated at busy times, unlike the other museums. Absolutely worth it! Amazing building and environment!
L. W.
Went there first time last week. What a. Beautiful place and the art fantastic.o spent hours there. .you do need to down load the app before you go in to book a time to visit and they ask a 5 pound donation. But I thought it worth it
A. W.
A wonderful place with an excellent collection of art. Some provisions have been made to ensure covid safety. These are clearly signposted.
The routes around the collection help you take in all the masterpieces as well as the lesser known pieces.
Plenty of staff were on hand to provide support/directions as needed.
It was a calming experience that was even nicer due to the reduction in people.
V. S. H.
It's totally worth visiting. A treasure
F. D.
The National Gallery is located at Trafalgar Square in Westminster City.
It's a free gallery and the collection of paintings are fantastic. If you plan to walk through this gallery, you'll be overwhelmed.
You can check on the gallery's website to see what paintings of that artist they have, or what artists are present at the time.
It's another must see attraction in London
I wish they had more places to sit. After walking the endless corridors and standing looking at the beauty it would be nice to go back to your favorites and sit and enjoy. The gift shops are nice too. You can easily spend 3-hours here. So you can explore until your legs give out type of museum like The British Museum or the Louvre in France. So leave enough time to properly to be able see the collection and its great pieces of work. With it being situated in the heart of London and nearby stations such as Charing Cross tube station, Charing Cross underground and the Embankment tube station all a short walk away allows your to easily travel about london with ease, in addition, an endless amount of bus stops and buses so if you want to get somewhere you have a abundance of them to choose from and finally with areas such as Leicester Square, the River Thames, Soho, St-James park and Piccadilly Circus leading to the west end all nearby in close proximity meaning a Great day out can be had. Happy travels!
M. N.
The gallery is huge. You can spend entire day walking around and admire the art of the biggest names from around the world. There's Caffee to take the rest as well. I am especially thankful I could see the work of big Polish artist Jan Matejko and his painting of Copernicus's Conversations with God. I hope in the future I'll have a chance to admire more work of Polish artists. There are plenty of beautiful paintings worth to show to the world. It was great day out.
M. R.
Went to see the small Copernicus exhibition; a huge painting of the Polish astronomer, with additional artefacts, including an astrolabe. Just enough information.
Cafe clean and spacious. As were the toilets.
An ideal brief visit to the Gallery.
j. L.
Amazing opportunity to see these famous works in person. I spent four hours just looking at impressionists works. The colors are unreal when compared to the prints and reproductions that are all around us.
S. R.
Beautiful gallery with beautiful original paintings of 100's of years old, entrance is free but they ask for donations but it's not compulsory, they also have a shop with lots of art related items including great books about art and artists.
A. H.
It's the National Gallery! Of course it's excellent. More old (and newer) masters than you can shake a stick at, and you can spend as long as you like there for free.
K. W.
Get ready to meet the masters up close and personal in an environment that is well lit, very comfortable and just pleasing to your senses. The range of artistry and eras is quite impressive and only surpassed by the Met in New York. Admission is free of charge so there are no excuses for not coming here.
l. t.
We enjoyed a fantastic virtual tour for our home educated students.
Ed and Katy we very engaging, friendly and knowledgeable. They really encouraged the students to think deeply about the paintings we considered, which certainly widened our understanding and interest in art and the gallery. A HUGE thank you both!
V. N.
Beautiful venue with some amazing grand master art, impressionist collection and exciting and contemporary modern exhibitions. A fantastic venue to spend the day
S.
Great experience at this museum for tourists. I loved all the art work as well as the service!
I would recommend arriving early in the day so that you have ample time to explore all that this museum has to offer.
L.
The NG has got amazing pieces by Vermeer, Turner, Rubens, Van Goth Rembrandt,Renoir, Monet, and even Velasquez and Murillo, and many many more, the gallery itself is easy accessible and an absolute delight, one of the most glorious in the world. L 😎
K. O.
Worth a visit and free but must book a slot. Slots available at short notice.
G. O.
I have mixed feelings about this last visit.
The booking system and entry prices were quick and efficient. The layout was logical albeit a bit confusing (the guidance arrows on the floor disappeared at one point and I almost missed a couple of rooms).
The general explanatory notices for the artists were excellent; clear, concise and informative.
Each gallery was packed with pictures, crammed in as if quantity was more important than the quality of the presentation and viewing experience.
Stand outs for me were the Rembrandts and Impressionist paintings.
Unfortunately whilst most of the staff were friendly and helpful one was a bit ‘off’ when I asked directions whilst another was too preoccupied chatting up females to help me.
Usual stuff in the gift shops.
L. B.
Gallery full of very important and nice works, mainly from Italian Renaissance painters.
The visit is free but it has to be booked (I suggest you at least 1 day before). You have to be on the site 15 minutes before the time booked and show the QR code you received by email.
F. F.
The ”new normality” allows to explore this amazing Gallery, every time I visit it I have no regrets! Masterpiece after Masterpiece.
Remembering all I learned from my career and sharing this knowledge with everyone.
BRAVO!!
m. t.
Love the national gallery! If your visiting London, definitely worth a visit!! The staff are really friendly! Especially the security! The gift shop is good too!
P. A.
It was a great experience. No queues in half term. Very nice atmosphere inside with couple of artist’s doing their painting as well.
M. L.
Went during half term which may have been a mistake, but the gallery had put in place some element of booking which meant that queues in the rain were limited to about an hour.
Once inside the staff were great. The layout was clear but I feel they would have benefited from some kind of app as the website didn't seem intuative.
Tried the Illy cafe which was eye wateringly expensive.

So, I was in London to renew my international passport. Got it much earlier than I had hoped and thought of what to do with the rest of the time before my train, decided to go into the National Gallery to see what they had there. I was blown away! I was transfixed by the sheer beauty of original art works that dated several centuries back, works that can hardly be matched by the artists of our days. The works of Leonardo Davinci were my priority to see. And I loved them. Did I forget to mention the myriads of shows just outside the gallery? the beautiful fountain at the Trafalgar square? the impressive statues of lions at the square? the very many tourists standing bye, passing bye, stopping to take in glimpses of the surrounding beauty and to save with their cameras? It was a great sight to behold! Will definitely go back, maybe with my family this time.
G. W.
Very grateful to experience this beautiful building with its outstanding collection when it was relatively quiet in London. The team are friendly and helpful - be prepared to spend hours here, taking everything in. A must visit
N. M.
SOOOOO COOL ♡
I love all the paintings in here because I'm a huge art nerd! Very accessible but also really big inside so if you get tired easily you might need to sit down somewhere, there are benches inside in pretty much all of the rooms.
Cafe and restaurant is also really nice and they have many disabled loos and lifts!
S. M.
An exceptionally beautiful art museum set at Trafalgar Square - a very convenient location. There are many art installments dating from the 13th century up until the 19th century. The most crucial paintings from the history of the world. Very peaceful place designed for art lovers from all ages. You can also enjoy your time at the cafe or the restaurant inside. You can spend as much time as you want. A must visit, and it is close to the Portraits Gallery.
R. V.
Great gallery. On top of that - it`s absolutely free. Located on Trafalgar Square in a very busy area. Great place to spend a half day at and for a visit with friends or family. A lot to see and learn. Recommended.
J. C. A.
The national gallery has a great range of artwork from all the way back in 1200 to recent years. There is also a good range of styles throughout the years like the older religious paintings and portraiture to newer landscapes and cityscapes and a few abstract pieces. Therefore, I would definitely recommend this gallery to anyone who wants to see a wide variety of art and discover what they like. I also recommend the gallery to artists because there are seats in most rooms and you are allowed to bring a stool to sit and draw on if there is any art that inspires you. I certainly enjoyed to see the different dates and styles of art and found what I liked!
P. B.
Superb and well worth the visit. Pre-book entry tickets online during covid to guarantee entry. As you face the building the entrance is currently to the left of the main entrance (during covid). It was accessible for disabled with lifts and loos. Inside there are three routes to follow - ask at the main desk what type of paintings in each one. You can look at them all but I found one route was enough for a single visit. Plenty of seating in each gallery. I found it a little too warm inside - but could just be me. The cafe was a bit disappointing as there was not a large choice of food on offer - ended up with a mediocre pre-packed sandwich, but the staff were lovely and friendly. When I visited the cafe was half full and tables were being kept clean and disinfected between customers.
M. A. F.
Art Gallery with all Classic paintings from the renaissance to the 1800s...Great experience...you can take photos as long you dont use the flash...the spaces are quiet big and you easely get lost so you better get a map from the reception and go to your favorite artists if you are in a short time visit...
A. U.
The biggest art gallery in London. Staffs are nice. Lovely art shops have quality stuffs.
Bit crowded but wouldn't bother you anyway
D. L.
Art, mostly painting. Very entry (Be respectful and donate a couple of pounds I guess) and great location that will for sure fit into your plans when you visit London. A lot of great paintings, some super familiar and some less, divided into rooms based on years.
Highly recommended, because it's free you don't feel obligated to spend half a day at least and explore everything but just be there for as much as you like.
E. W.
Wonderful! Masterpiece after masterpiece...
Take your time, spend more than one day if you can to fully appreciate, just too much to see!Admission is free that is so rare for a museum of such scale. I’ve been many times but always want to come back.
Exhibitions have to be booked separately for a fee, around £16.
W. A.
One of the great galleries of Europe, it covers most art movements up until the present with the emphasis on portraits. Not endless like others, but 2 hours should be allowed for to enjoy what it has to offer
a.
Very good installations in a well curated flow from early 16th century to mid 20th century. Includes works from some of the greats such as Monet, Manet, Michelangelo, Raphael, Bellini, Reubens, Van Gogh, Picasso, Seraut, and Gainsborough just to name a few.
S. P.
Trafalgar square is one of the most visited tourist attraction in the city. Located near the national library, this place is always bustling with tourists. I walked to the square as part of my on-foot London visit and had lunch in one of the restaurants nearby.
The British Library is the national library of the United Kingdom and the largest library in the world by number of items catalogued. It holds over 170 million items from many countries....
we visited this place and National Library in May,2012....
l. ..
Very well organised for Covid-secure, unhurried enjoyment of the exhibited art. The main exhibitions are free but book online first. Toilets , shop & cafe are open too. The limited number of visitors and set routes make 2020 the best rime to enjoy this beautiful gallery.
S. D.
London has so many wonderful donation admission options for art and culture and the National Gallery is certainly a must-go. From famous Van Gogh’s to unfinished Michelangelo’s and classic Botticelli’s - the National Gallery is a stunning and perfectly laid out space to spend an afternoon on Trafalgar Square. Love this place!
T. S.
The only reason I'm not rating 5 star is because I'm not a fan of art, I went to see the architecture of the building that is really beautiful. If you enjoy seeing some paintings you'll just love this place, there's often free tour guides around the gallery. It is reasonably close to big ben, so all of those areas, Trafalgar square, london eye, gallery, Buckingham palace..you can do all of them (by foot if you want) in one day.
J. G.
First visit. Spent three hours here perusing, despite only going to see The Blue Boy and Sunflowers
S. P.
If you love arts, paintings... u can spend a whole day here. A good place to hang out! So many extraordinary paintings. One of the best tourist attractions in London. Walkable distance from Buckingham palace. A must visit place. You can hang out sometime in the Trafalgar Square in front of this as well.
R. D.
The National Gallery is doing it's best to cope with the current situation. Book in advance otherwise you will need to queue to see if they have availability in people not turning up for their slot. There is a one way system through the gallery and three designated routes so not as free and easy as before but staff are helpful and working in difficult circumstances and the paintings are as beautiful as ever and visiting them is so much better without all the crowds ;)
F. C.
Outstanding European art collection since Late Middle Ages and one you must visit if in town. To me one of the top 10 museums in the World.
E. P.
Amazing, beautiful, always enjoyable to go there for few hours. A must stop if you are in London
M. L.
A vast collection of paintings from mediaeval times up to the Impressionists. Something for everyone!
Free to access although donations encouraged.
A. V.
It's a really nice place with free Wi-Fi as well. But you get to know a lot about the history. It also has a restaurant where you can enjoy some good food. It's completely free for entry but if you want a membership you need to pay for that. The outside atmosphere is so so good Speacially during the evening because there are so many singers, performers and dancers outside which just adds to the mood. One should visit once at least.
R. W.
One of the best days out I've had, free entry with a recommended £5 donation, is not very crowded in the morning and could easily spend the whole day there looking at every picture. The cafe was reasonable and the staff were friendly and very helpful.
R. L.
One of the top 3 best museum in the world.
Unfortunately 2 of Van Gogh paintings weren't been displayed.
E. F.
Epic place, a must visit! There are more than 2k of art works as far as I know. Da Vinci, Rubens, Van Gogh, Michelangelo etc. The best thing about this gallery is that the entry is free! If i were you I wouldn't hesitate. I've spent 2+ hours in here and I didnt mind that at all
D. M.
Great free entry art museum you can see few masterpieces like Van Gogh, Cézanne, Monet, Picasso ...worth popping in !
F. N.
A wonderful collection of art from all over the world. The exhibitions are beautifully designed and presented, and, although they may appear expensive for one off entry, well worth the charge.. ( If you become a Member, the entry to exhibitions is free)
K. R.
Great National Gallery! Free entry, so definitely worth a visit when you got some spare time in London.
Beautiful collections from early Western art down through the centuries. Great architecture also inside the building to compliment the art itself.
In front of the building you'll find street performers as well, great to sit down on a sunny day.
R. M.
It’s great to be able to visit the National Gallery again. Pre-book your tickets and off you go.
The collection comprises a whole spectrum of artworks. My preferences run towards Expressionism, which isn’t as extensive as the Italian masters.
Beautiful gallery and always worth a visit to get inspired.
A. L.
Had to enter via Sainsbury Wing in order to access Poussin temporary exhibition at the far end of the main building. Tedious. Why no nearer entrance open even allowing for Covid restrictions?
Building & permanent collection marvellous
R.
An amazing gallery with stunning works of art from around Europe and and the world.
Usually open until 6pm
A cool plaza in front of the gallery to hang out and enjoy some people watching.... weather pending 😉
C. C.
Awe inspiring collection. It’s a national treasure and it’s free!
g.
A stunning collection of art in a fabulous building, the collection spans a huge period of time and there is something for everyone, and with free pre booked tickets available it is easy to have multiple short viewings of the collection.
J. S.
This is a beautiful stop for anyone interested in art and history! A staple at Trafalgar Square, it is easy to get to along the tube line or by foot near other tourist attractions, near cafes, pubs, and restaurants, and with a cafe of its own in the building.
We went on a Friday evening, and there was a drawing night event with lots of people walking around the paintings and drawing them with giant sketch pads, which is a great and interactive idea!
We also began a scavenger hunt from here that took us all around London on a wild adventure! The staff at the National Gallery were aware of the hunt and played their parts wonderfully!
I highly recommend this stop in London, especially as it is free to enter the main areas!
M. L.
if you like art, you'll love it. but it is quite big and just like british museum, you can always come back to see what you haven't yet
B. B.
Beautiful museum, great collection. Some real classics. There’s no entrance fee, but they ask for a €5 or £5 donation. A lot of people didn’t do this. Please do this people to keep awesome places like this open for a small amount of money instead of charging €20 entrance like most museums this size.
K. K.
Lovely art gallery with very expansive spaces full of old art. It was quite peaceful in the morning, when I went, just one hour after opening. It was free, so there's no reason not to go.
N. G.
A magnificent experience, free entrance to the gallery but you need to pre-book online; there are no long queues and crowds are controlled in the rooms, everything is arranged one way. So it is pretty enjoyable and comfortable. I spent about four hours but I took time to read the descriptions and gazed at some paintings longer. Worth it!
B. A.
This museum is great. Plenty of classic art that you can spend literally all day looking at. It's a great place to see how people were thinking in the past. A definite go if you're in london and its FREE!! You also have cafes and you can rent headphones and a little device that talks about the history of the majority of the pieces in the museum.
J.
Absolutely incredible gallery that has beautiful pieces of European artwork. The collection is extensive, with over 60 rooms filled with artworks on the walls. No entrance fee, though the ask for a donation. £5 for the audio tour (which is valuable if you're into the art), bring your own headphones because they do not provide free ones! Maps are £2 so take a picture of the few maps in the gallery. Budget 2-6hrs here depending on how interested you are in the material. The most heavily trafficked area is the impressionist section but it is excellent.
M. B.
Amazing paintings from some of the best artists that have ever lived.
D. D.
Such a remarkable selection of fine art. It's easy to spend several hours here. The coffee shop and gift shop are also very good.
A. H.
The building is massive and well maintained. It holds paintings that are considered the zenith of talent in Art History. Paintings from masters such as DaVinci, Caravaggio, Bottecelli, Rubens, Bernini, Rembrant, Raphael and David are displayed here. Many works are held here to be appreciated and you would definitely need to return to see them all. It has as much security as the MET in NYC, where there is an officer in EVERY ROOM watching you. The guided tours you must pay for and prices are available on the Gallery's website. It is accessible to disabled patrons and has a lift (elevator) available for wheelchairs, strollers and people using walking sticks. Disabled patrons also have their own restrooms to use. Admittance is free but please do donate. The treasures inside are meant to be preserved so that future generations can be as fortunate as we are to witness them.

Masterpieces housed in a beautiful neoclassical building on Trafalgar Square. A must for all those fond of art. A lot of masterpieces gathered together, spanning some 6 centuries of European art history. Under one roof one can find Titian, Rembrandt, Caravaggio, the local favorite Turner, Cezanne, Monet, van Dyck, Rubens, van Gogh, and the four Great Italians - Michelangelo, Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello. One has to return many times in order to be able to grasp all the masterpieces housed in this magnificent gallery !

It's an amazing place to visit regularly as a Londoner or when visiting London as a traveller.
The highlights are well known paintings of famous artisits, too many to list. But amongst my favourites: Sunsets by Turner, Enlightenment paintings from Italy and of course Van Gogh and other impressionists.
TL;DR must visit.

The National Gallery is an art museum in Trafalgar Square in the City of Westminster, in Central London. Founded in 1824, it houses a collection of over 2,300 paintings dating from the mid-13th century to 1900.
K. S.
Museum with paintings from all ages. Large collection of Italian renaissance, Dutch and Spanish masters and 19th century impressionism

The National Gallery is located at Trafalgar Square in Westminster City.
It's free museum and the collection of painting are fantastic. If you plan to walk thru this gallery in half day, you'll be overwhelmed.
The day before we arrived, we checked on the gallery's website to see what painting of that artist they have, or what artists represent at the time.
It's another must see attraction in London
G. C.
I highly recommend the Poussin exhibition which provides wonderful insights into the inspiration behind his paintings and the methods he used to create movement and emotion in his work.
O. L.
I still can't believe that it's free. Guys, the Louvre is out, expensive and overrated. This is for free and it is as least as big as the Louvre though I haven't been there. You have to do a security check in of course but when you're through you can taje as much time as you need. There are three routes each for a different period of time. I cam there because of Constable, Gainsborough, Turner and for fun. You can sit down in every room and the git so many Rembrandts and Van Goghs. In every room is also a person from the museum. You will need time except you just want to rush through the museum.
A. J.
I love the collection it has of most eminent painters of Europe. I would recommend it to all lovers of art........Large representation of many of the most important artists of many art streams. Especially the collection of Turners, Gainsboroughs and Van Goghs is a must see. The museum though is overcrowded and relatively loud which makes it difficult to enjoy the art. Furthermore the art is quite cramped into the rooms.......
K. G.
Great friendly staff, although needs more seating!
O. K.
The collection, it goes without saying, is world-class. It was extremely busy when I visited on a weekday, so I came back on Friday night at the suggestion of one of the staff members, and the galleries were much less crowded. If you're looking to sit and sketch, Friday nights are your best bet! I really loved the selection of impressionist works and the Rembrandt room. The Espresso Bar was a relaxing and clean, if not particularly ambient, spot to enjoy a tasty latte.
J. W.
Great art gallery. Go early on as it gets very busy - regardless of what day it is! It’s free, but recommend giving a donation!
T. T.
A beautiful building inside and out exhibiting some of the world's most well known artworks. There is a cafe inside.
E. G.
Are you in London? You can't miss to visit The National gallery. Here you find a lot of international famous paintings, from italians like Raphael and Da Vinci, to the Dutch an France. The museum is big but really well organised. The entrance is completely free so you can't really miss it
K. B.
It is amazing that such a place has free admission! Van Gogh, Monet, MATISSE, Da Vinci... You name it. Truly great experience. Very vast collection of extraordinary works. The o ly problem I had was that a small case, that you can take onto a plane with you is considered luggage and will not be taken into the wardrobe. You can't even enter with it at all! We were sent to the nearest tube station for luggage storage which is £10 a day minimum option! Outrageous. We found a cheaper option to visit the gallery on our way to the airport, but beware. Better visit without any luggage.
B. P.
Arrived 9:40am and luckily didn't have a long line. Very nice gallery, easily navigated. The paintings are well displayed. The staffs are extremely nice too. And it is free of charge, so do many museums in London. Really nice of the government to offer that.
C. “. B.
The gallery is fabulous. Must be on list of places to visit. Had to drop one star though because the process of entry is a joke. You have to download the QR code on a banner outside then create an account and fill in before you enter. I witnessed quite a number of elderly people struggling. One couple got into an argument as they didn't own a smartphone and felt discriminated against. The gallery assistant outside was useless and rude. But once you got past the debacle at the entrance the visit was fab.
ٌ. A.
A must visit. Although I was disappointed that I couldn’t find some of the masterpieces. But overall it was quite a rush. The museum is quite fascinating with an incredible front view.
E. G.
Loved it! A big fan of art so stopping by the national gallery was a treat, it was a bit more busy than usual I’m assuming because of the Chinese New Year celebration they were having up front, none the less the area was clean and taken care for! Would love to stop by again when they add more additions.
K. M.
The awe of the art held here is mind blowing. Just consider the work and maintenance of hosting so many pieces of art, throughout our history.
See photos for the The National Gallery Myne Card
M. S.
One of my favourite places on Prince's Street. Always a great selection of work on display and the current pop-up cafe on the lower level us a little place to escape the hustle & bustle of Edinburgh centre.
A. C.
The National Gallery is a master class on art history from beginning to end. Every single section hides its own jewel. The museology is extraordinary for it does tell you a story: you can see the evolution of art right before your eyes. It's free, it's gorgeous, there's wifi available... if you love art, you can't pay a visit to London and don't stop at the National Gallery.
S. G.
With its rich collection of masterpieces it's always a must-see. It deserves many hours but it's free (except for temporary exhibitions), so you can visit multiple times without getting tired. But please donate some money because the gallery needs constant maintenance and improvements of the displays would also be welcome.
C. W.
I wandered into The National Gallery to escape the rain, and after just an hour in, it quickly became my favorite museum in London. There are so many amazing works in this museum.
The most popular wing is on the second floor and is incredibly crowded on weekends — for good reason. There you’ll find well loved pieces by Monet, Van Gogh, Cezanne, and more.
I don’t claim to know anything about art, but there’s just something wonderful about The National Gallery. Even if you’re not a fan of art, you might appreciate the fantastic architecture within each room of the museum.
And did I mention it’s free? You can’t beat it.
J. M.
Breathtaking art in glorious condition. Colours so vibrant, detail unsurpassed.
Amazing to be able to get up so close to enjoy and marvel at the detail and patience exhibited by the artists.
B. W.
There was a lot of confusion at the beginning on how to enter the gallery (due to the COVID situation) but once you’re in it’s great! The selection of paintings was great and the atmosphere was stunning. Great gift shop too.
P. T.
Beautiful place !
Lot of wonderful piece of art, so much things to watch, you need lot of time to appreciate all the painting.
The place is free but donation are recommended
M. D.
Great place to visit a FREE museum with thousands of paintings from all the periods of British History different styles a truely impressive gallery of priceless works of art situated next to Trafalgar Square a trip to this gallery is a must especially anyone studying Art
E.
Wonderful place.
On a rainy day like today, they won't allow you in unless you leave your brolly outside across from the entrance. So that when you come out from the other side. You will need to run back in the rain to retrieve it if it is still there.
Good place, bad management.
A. R.
One of London's most famous museums and one you cannot (and should not) miss, the National Gallery is beautiful inside and out and will serve you with a perfect dose of art and culture during your trip. Its artworks span centuries so there will be something here for everyone, no matter your taste. I recommend paying a visit to this iconic museum at least once.
S. Q.
Great once you are in but getting a ticket outside via your mobile phone is a real pain. I gave up my wife gave up. A trickle of people were just walking away. Eventually I put my phone in my pocket, went up to the guard and said "I would like to come in". I then denied having a phone. No problem after that. So book before you arrive or leave you phone in your pocket.
D. G.
Beautiful art work. Definitely take you out of yourself and consume you
E. S.
Been only to "Only Human" by Martin Parr exhibition. The exhibition was great. However, A little pricy.
Had a brief view of the regular exhibitions. Did not find them very interesting or appealing.
j. S.
A good place for people who enjoy paintings. You will easily get lost as there are hundreds of paintings on display. If you are unprepared, go to the souvenir shop first, so that you will quickly understand that which all are the "must not miss" artists and paintings.
C. G.
Had a beautiful day at the National Gallery. Online booking was super easy and queuing on entry was easy and efficient.
The one way system works but the C route and B route can be confusing at first.
Beautiful architecture with many iconic works from all eras from monet to van gogh. Highly recommend to any tourist or art fanatic. Do check before if you favourite painting is out on loan or not to avoid diasspointment!
M. W.
Always love galleries. Great for 1700-1850 art pieces. Mostly French and European art works. Very little Greek works. They do have some Vangogh and Rembrandt painting on exhibit at the moment.
G. W.
Fantastic Gauguin exhibition. The staff are all really nice and not too intrusive but ready to help. Great to see the real things. Lots of Rembrandt, impressionists and neo - impressionists, which was especially exciting for me. There are also these awesome portable chairs you can carry with you! Those are worth grabbing!!!

Attended the National Gallery to see Kehinde Wiley display
G. L.
This iconic gallery is a must see attraction for any visitor to London.Centrally located overlooking Trafalgar Square, the main gallery is free to visit. It's a wonderful space to spend a couple of hours in and enjoy many renowned and fantastic paintings by some of the most notable artists in history. I go several times a year for therapy ! but most recently to the Landseer exhibition to see the famous Monarch if the Glen ,a stunning painting of a red deer stag set in Scottish Highlands, awesome!
G. R.
Fabulous place to wander and enjoy the paintings on display. Even if you know little about art there are paintings here you will recognise. Certain rooms that have the more famous paintings in can be very busy and the Sunflowers are always a scrum to get to. No payment to get in so this makes a great family trip that does not cost a penny.
J. C.
This is an absolute must in the city of London. Finest art from round the world. Starting from the XV century until modern times, it has a vast collection of pieces from all the world-famous paintors in history... you name it, he’s here. I consider this one of the best art museums in the UK if not Europe, and the incredible part of this is, it is totally free! To have the chance to experience this fine art and history from all those centuries ago with no charge shouln’t be understated. Of course there will be crowds (plan your visit, if you can, on certain hours of the day or even times of the year when tourism is lower... same goes for other museums) and the whole tour may take you up to 4 hours if you don’t rush it or skip rooms. Many people come just to see Van Gogh’s sunflowers and so, but don’t miss the chance to see everything else. There’s also a paid audioguide that may come in handy if you require additional information on highlighted paitings (which are plenty). Even if you are not crazy about art, you can’t go wrong with this one.
D. V.
If you want to truly enjoy your visit, plan your days. What I did, because I was in a rush, I googled what's the most important that I need to see inside. Each section is worthy spending the whole day there. You'll find the amazing works of some of the most famous artists in the world - all this for free. At the entrance you can leave your donation, of course if you wish. Also there is a free WiFi available.
P. B.
Amazing free entry to one of the world's biggest and best collections of excellent paintings by famous artists from Degas to Velasquez. Great access, sensibly socially distanced during the pandemic, this is one of my favourite places to visit as you can wander through a wealth of gallery rooms containing astonishing original paintings. You can sit to sketch or simply study the brushwork or overall impact of any piece, read or listen to descriptions, context or the history of the piece or artist. Galleries are arranged by artist, period, group, theme or style, brilliantly curated, lit and displayed to allow for any visitor to appreciate the impact and brilliance of each painting. Hugely recommended, great facilities, knowledgeable staff, amazing paintings, clean space and all FREE.
P. K.
Amazing exhibition of art works from pre Renaissance to the 20th century. You could easily spend all day here . Each room is numbered chronologically and each section is according to genre . Wheelchair accessible: guided tours if booked and audio guides to the ' masterpieces. The Restaurant and gift shop are extremely popular and extremely busy : if you like history or art then this is an experience not to be missed. Excellent in every way possible.
R. K.
Lovely array of paintings on display here. There's plenty to see and you don't need to be an art expert to enjoy looking round. It's free to enter and you can donate if you like. I love to see Van Gogh's paintings and visit when I can. There are benches to sit on if you've walked a long way and fancy a rest.
A. W.
Never ever been to an art gallery before in my 60+ years and so I started big!
Having walked around Dedham Vale and Flatford Mill, Constable country, I wanted to see his works and was not disappointed. (Room 34)
The Gallery recommend the Smartify app which does give useful background information to some artworks and, COVID permitting, have a selection of audio tours to take. Sadly, these tours were not available. Perhaps one day they can be paid for and downloadable to personal SMART devices, overcoming the hygiene issues?
I spent barely 30 minutes there but the majesty of the buildings and artwork draws me back to investigate further, soon.
E. R.
Amazing to see the art I've seen in books for years in reality. A lot of art I've never seen before as well, but definately needs more than one visit to see it all.
r. j. r.
The world of art under one roof. This
is an exceptional gallery, and it's free.
A must for all art lovers. Covent Garden
is so near - full of life and refreshment.

Established in 1824 as a new art collection for the enjoyment and education of all, the National Gallery first consisted of 38 pictures, put on display at a house on Pall Mall while a purpose-built gallery was constructed. There are now over 2,300 works of art, from medieval classics to world-famous pieces by the French Impressionists. The new museum opened in 1838, located in Trafalgar Square because it was deemed to be at the heart of London – easy for rich people to visit from the west by carriage and also convenient for poor people coming by foot from east London.
Free to visit, the National Gallery is still as welcoming to all as it was back then. Anyone can swing by and gaze on Van Gogh’s ‘Sunflowers’ for ten minutes on their way to work, or stay all day and admire JMW Turner’s Bequest or Cézanne’s ‘Bathers’.
H. W.
With less people you actually enjoy the paintings more. Annoying that u have to wear a mask all the time
c. y.
We were pretty excited to see the Sunflowers from Vincent van Gogh. My son bought two post cards from van Gogh's master pieces.
D. H.
Some brilliant art! I do wonder of there is ever a time when it's less busy..? At least its quieter in there than the hustle and bustle of Trafalgar Square
M.
One of the best museums in the world. Wonderful building, excellent collection and very strong curation. Top place.

Housing many greats in portraiture and other such classical works, London's National Gallery is a bastion of culture with over 2,300 paintings on display. Famous works grace these walls, including names like Monet, Van Gogh, Claude, Rembrandt, Holbein, Michelangelo, Turner, Constable, Raphael, Canaletto, Caravaggio, Da Vinci, and so forth.
I attended an exhibition of Titian's ‘poesies’ works, titled ‘Love, Desire, Death’. Other such exhibitions of touring artwork on loan from around the world are commonplace here.
Whether an art student, seasoned aficionado, or just curious; the gallery is here, and free for all to be seen and felt. It can't be missed.
M. M.
A national treasure housing wonderful classical paintings from many renowned artists. This is a real treasure trove of art from different periods. Artists such has Turner, Constable, Titian, Holbein, Monet, Velazquez, Caravaggio, Vermeer and many more. If you just have half an hour drop in a d just visit one of the many rooms, but you could also spend all day here admiring the paintings.
My particular favourite is Room 34 which exhibits the dazaling seascapes by Turner (including the "Fighting Temeraire") and the beautiful landscapes of Constable (including "Stratford Mill") also Gainsborough exhibited in this room. Also don't miss Room 41 for the famous Van Gogh's "Sunflowers" and Monet's "Water-Lily Pond". I think the "Sunflowers" painting is the most photographed in the Gallery.
Entrance to the National Gallery is currently not via the main entrance (which is exit only) but through the Sainsbury Wing to the right of the building.
A. E. I.
One of the most famous and known musem in UK and in the world. The gallery offers a huge permanent collection to see for free and it is amazing. It's totally worth the visit. But get a map and decide what kind of walk you wanna take in the museum because the rooms order may be confusing. Temporary collection are amazing too. Sometimes pieces of the permanent collection get moved into the temporary one, so you'll have to pay for seeing them (as it happened to me in Dec 2017 for the Arnolfini's Portrait)
L. B.
An amazing place which is set in the heart of London. Most of the galleries are free except for a special exhibition which is always worth the only payment. Staff are friendly and helpful. I went to visit the Taylor Wessing Portrait Photography Prize (in the Portrait Gallery) which is every year and now you are allowed to photograph the winning pictures. A great source of inspiration. The book shop is excellent and great for gifts as well as a great resource of theory books. If you are hungry, then the canteen is always a place to rest and refuel. Always go to the main gallery and see the great paintings. Every year I forget how magnificent they are and how lucky we are to have these on public display and free of charge. An amazing place.
D.
The National Gallery with free admission, great location and house of famous masterpieces is definitely one of the best art galleries in London; you could easily spend the whole day in the gallery and still not been able to see every single painting so my recommendation is to take one of the outstanding free talks; the virtual tour of the gallery or the 30 paintings recommended by the gallery to see (all in the website).
N. O.
A brilliant place to visit to see paintings of people, scenery and flowers with some looking as good as modern day photographs, painted centuries ago is a delight - a must go and see place near Trafalgar and Leicester Square
A. T.
Beautiful classic building and high quality exhibition at Trafalgar square.
Home of fine art. You must visit it!

Simply a wonderful place to visit for 5 minutes or 5 hours, I have visited here more times than I can remember. Pick a painting and truly look at it, see what it invokes in you!

Wonderful Museum with some great art. The layout is well done and the signs help you find what you're looking for if you're in a hurry.
S. H.
The National Gallery and its lesser known cousin the National Portrait Gallery just around the corner, are incredible. Both are free and contain some of the world's greatest artwork, put into the context necessary to really understand them.
J. a. t. g.

J. B.
If you love art this is a place that you must visit whilst in London. So many original pieces by world famous artists that you can enjoy close up and at your own pace. Staff very helpful and not intrusive. There is no charge for admission although donations are welcomed.

J. R.
If you are looking for a great educational day out with the family then this is one of the best places to visit. Children are encouraged to draw and learn about great paintings and painters.
S. F. B.
Good place to chill and stroll around. Enormous collection, artists such as Monet, Degas and a bunch of important classical painters. The building itself is beautiful, make sure to look at the ceilings when you are there. Free entry, great art.
E. T.
I really can't describe how this Gallery is so important to our heritage.
C. D.
Very interesting place to visit - I'm not a huge art enthusiast but I definitely enjoyed the beautiful works by many renowned artists.

One of the best and biggest art galleries of the world! The gallery moves from period to period beautifully showcasing the evolution in art over time; paintings are there from the 1300s to 2019. There are audio guides present as well for the solo art learners and admirers and guided tours of the gallery every now and then. The national gallery also hosts lates, as updated on their website, that allows people to stay in the gallery late in the evening to admire art alongside live music. A must visit spot if you are in London!
E.
This place is perfect. If you like exhibitions, you should visit there. Before coming there, you should get ticket from website. Ticket is free.
J.
Absolutely stunning venue ! The best collection of painting I have ever seen . I atender for an event and the whole night was magical !
J. G.
Surely one of the best galleries in the world. Even if you only have 5 minutes you can walk through 4 rooms and see some of the most famous paintings by van Gogh, Cézanne, Monet, Constable, and Turner. And that's not even going near the old stuff...
R. M.
Place to be lost in the world of art.
N. v.
The gallery is mindblowing. In that the art and paintings is very beautiful than we think. We had an amazing time there.Every one must go that gallery.
S. W.
For painting and history lovers, MUST visit! FREE admission. ‘Vincent Van Gogh’ and also other world’s famous artists souvenirs are tempting to buy at reasonable price.
M. J.
One of my favourite gallery to wonder around and allow yourself to be inspired by art! Tip - try to get there early as they open, this way it almost feels like you’re the only one there...
D. H.
Wonderful art museum. It’s free but do leave a donation if possible. Not a huge museum so it is possible to bounce around quickly to catch highlights or just focus on your personal interests or spend several hours. Has 2 Rembrandt self portraits that make for interesting comparison of young and energetic Rembrandt and older Rembrandt. Has a few Van Gogh. Sunflowers and Vincent’s Chair, 2 Vermeer’s, Da Vinci Virgin of the rocks, wonderful landscapes and maybe the best horse portrait of all time - Whistlejacket. There is something for everyone.
